  • This is the third episode of my 2022/2023 trapping season. It's time to pull the marten line and get busy exploring different areas of the trapline. Wolves have been running everywhere so we get busy setting snares. We build a number of lynx cubby sets and squirrel pole sets.
The coyote bait has been started so we should be setting coyote snares very soon.
Exciting times are just around the corner! Life on the trapline is getting Wild!
Thank you to everyone who watches. God bless!

Definitely interested in the wild game cooking videos! I always thought it would be awesome to cook a whole rabbit over a fire, like on a spit.
My coworker brought in a squirrel he killed in his yard with a pellet gun, I was really curious what it tasted like while everyone else was grossed out. He gave me a leg and my first bit I bit into a lead pellet, lol. He was like "Oh crap, I forgot I needed two shots for that one!"

Squirrel is a popular fur material used in the tying of artificial flies for fly fishing, it’s used in an awful lot of fly patterns as is rabbit fur. Fly tying on its own is quite a popular pastime, particularly outside the various fishing seasons.

Just wondering if the Crown Biologist live trap and then radio collar to track the fur bearers...here in Maine they do a radio collar program on black bear, which helps the state to decide which areas have high life cycles by bear den and cub counts...have you tried Crock Pot Rague? It was a fav of my grandfather during winter...he would fatten up the critters with peanuts in shells and then used an air rifle from the back deck to dispatch them🤣🤣🤣Cheers from Maine.

It does an ok job. It has good enough auto focus & stabilization. The 60x zoom is really nice. Only downside is the autofocus makes sound that the mic picks up. Some clips you can hear the electronic sound. I'll probably upgrade my film setup for this channel in the warmer months of the year. For now it's good enough though. Thanks for watching.

@@KuskWild that is a pretty neat way to take them, here in Missouri we can take them with box trap or 110 body grips. I learned when I was just a kid trapping for mink. I was setting 110s on logs crossing creeks and up under root wads, and the edge of creeks were the banks are straight up. I would set them tight against the bank, I caught a few mink but I kept the family fed with squirrels and rabbits. I like watching you trap the country your in but I don’t think I could take the weather you deal with. Just about to cold here for me anymore.
