In a game where you play as a red crab who wields a fork, the final boss is a blue crab who wields a spoon.

Love how kril was completely done with prawnathan giving him the run around and scams & just takes his shell by force😂
Not like the law can stop him anyways
I didn't even see the prompt when I did it. I was done with him, too, and hit him with a charged attack. 😅 Didn't actually expect it to work.
The “that’s the cool part of being a god, I don’t need you to “let” me do anything, it’s just gonna happen” is so cold
I never expected a crab soulslike* with breakcore music.

"Are you ready for your final boss lessons?"
Radagon teared up.
Gael sighed.
Isshin gulped in fear.
Gehrman quaked in his wheelchair.
"Yes, Firth..." they all said in unison.
Ngl, this goes hard
You mean as in quality or difficulty? Cuz in terms of quality, isshin and gael were amazing, and in terms of difficulty, this fight was a joke
@@TheArtDev I meant OP's comment.

Whoa a cute crab game

*fights god twice in a row, praya dubia, then firth
Average kirby game
@@dudesayshi2191 tbh that’s an really good comparison
Since Kril gave away his shell to the other hermit and left New Carcinia, that seems like a confirmation for a sequel.
I don’t think a sequel is in order mostly cause the ending is quite solid. A sequel needs to do something to make itself worthwhile.
I think with how things leave off, New carcinia being infested with trash, Kril could still go on a further journey to help stop the spread, maybe go to even more dangerous waters. Honestly, any story development would be fine in my book if we get more of this gameplay
These are just my thoughts on the ending. TL:DR; Kril starts the game in a good, if ignorant place, and ends in a depressed, aware place. If the devs folloe up with DLC, it could be about Chiton, or the Whorl, or you get to play as a different character.
The ending is depressing, honestly. Kril had an entire arc about losing innocence and no longer just sitting by, but he doomed New Carcinia by shattering Trash Island. Firth started it, and Kril finsihed it because he got angry.
Now, it seems he left New Carcinia to look for a purpose besides helping crabs. He knows that he doesn't want to settle down, and he also doesn't want to go back to doing nothing. He doesn't know what he wants to do, but he has so much unresolved anger at the injustice in the ocean he's (presumeably) taking out on Gunk-afflicted crustaceans. Not to mention the trauma from almost losing Chiton, losing Konche, and giving in to his anger at the worst possible moment.
Aggro Crab made the ending satisfying enough to make me want more, to make Kril's arc feel completed, but to also know that this stage of his life is far from over.
I theorized over with the folks on Aggro Crab's Discord Server, and we came up with a few ideas for a DLC:
- Kril goes on a quest to help Chiton recover from her injuries while he tries to come to terms with what happened in 9-10-ish hours(Hermit crabs can survive underwater for ~6 hours, he goes above water in Flotsam Vale and the game takes ~2-3 hours from there), as well as processing the last 20 minutes of said quest. (Praya, Konche, Chiton, Firth, all of it.)
-Playing as a different character, like Chiton or something. I have no opinion on this one, the only way they could ruin this route is if they made us play as Firth.
- Rebuilding The Perfect Whorl to fix what Kril had broken in New Carcinia, with The Whorl being a representation of his growing rage. The DLC would end with Kril giving away The Whorl, either by destroying it or placing it somewhere no one would be able to find it, and Kril accepting what happened in New Carcinia had happened, and the only thing he can do is keep moving forward.
@@victory8928no? The ending resolved nothing
@@beginthewar9681Flotsam vale was above water???
...why is the fucking dialogue give the same vive as the mgr Armstrong and Raiden politic discussion
Probably because it's most certainly intended. The game is pretty clearly anti-pollution and anti-capitalism, and the companies previous game also explicitly touches upon their anti-capitalist sentiments.
@@hisnitch Wow, didnt know that now it make sense.
Micheal Reeves is perfect for both this roll and the loan shark because they are just pure chaos

But nobody is to blaaaaaaaaaam!
But staring across this wasted land
I feel new life will born beneath the bloodstained saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand!
The arrogant side character that becomes the final boss trope my beloved ❤
You know, when you think about it, this is such a grim ending.
The main villain is neither redeemed, seeing the error of their ways and working to fix things, nor are they defeated through any means that proves them wrong. By extension, the big dramatic lesson is... wrong. The anger and violence destroyed the only thing that could help, it only serves to make Kril more miserable, and it achieved nothing. After all, the main villain succeeded in his goals! Maybe not as much as he would have, but he did.
"hey no hard feelings ri-" *gets crushed by a boot*
The fact Kril gives his shell away makes me sob.
I thought I was the only one 🥲
Thank you for putting the final boss of the game in the thumbnail that’s really nice i wasn’t going to check the game out for myself anyway
This game was a breath of fresh air and was hilarious plus beyond beautiful tho the Moon snail could have been in the story more she was also funny as hell and interesting.
I read it as the crab who sold the world i need therapy
Technically that's what he did
I think that was the intent
Now go! And let the legend come back to life!
Same same😂
This is truly a Micheal reeves moment
Voice acting for the villain gives serious inshell vibes
Incel jokes and the term itself is old, grating, and genuinely just unfunny at this point.
@@EnglishAaron thats a joke from this game though.
@@EnglishAaron what's ur problem man?
Ive beaten the last few bpss quite easily, since the knight helmet provides 70 defense and having res 30 makes it impossible to break my shell fast and reduces damage by a lot.
I’m getting some Senator Armstrong vibes
OK thought it was just me for a sec
It basically is just Senator Armstrong but instead of being a hardline american values republican masking a deeply social darwinist agenda
Firth is a neoliberal democrat using empty Greater Good/“Long Term Plans” to justify a deeply selfish disregard for everyone and everything
I'm sorry...is that fucking turbo
Am I missing something here? Correct me if I'm wrong but, Firth had been getting good character development throughout the game right? He was realizing the errors of Idolizing Roland and even wanted to use the 'treasure' to help a lot of people. Now suddenly we act as if he's been an irredeemable greedy crab the entire time because he put on the whorl that corrupted him?
I think they’re trying to say Firth was faking growth. Notice his final boss talk was more on the economy.
He wants fame and fortune, and isn’t above lying to get it.
He stole the Whorl right as it was about to be used to heal someone after all.
@@sevenclovers7 I don't think that makes sense at all. Why go through all the trouble of faking his own growth when he had no issue being himself in front of Kril in the first place.
What I saw happen was he was growing in a positive trajectory and was seeing the error in Roland's ways up until the point where they all got dropped into the old ocean (i think that was what it's called). Then he got extremely dark because he believed all of it was for nothing and told Kril off out of anger.
As for the Whorl, there was no indication that he was even aware of what was happening, he just showed up and put it on.
His final monologue had nothing to do with fame and fortune, in his own twisted way he believed he was going to be a savior because he didn't see anything wrong with the trash economy and that the people who controlled it were evil (the point of his development).
He saw himself as a benevolent savior who will be able to use trash to make everyone’s lives better. So, covering the city in the trash would lead to a golden age of abundance in his eyes. All of this also amplified by the Whorl's power.
Krill, on the other hand, grew far away from the trash economy, so he can see the damage this vicious system does. In addition, Krill is well aware that the Gunk curse derives from greed and the lack of meaning in the trash economy.
I agree, I dont think Firth deserved the ending he got. He seemed like a genuinely naive guy that thought Roland was a good person, and thus idolized him as a business man. I couldnt find any reason to hate Firth at all. I think narratively there's something missing for Firth between the last time we see him in the drain and the final time we see him at the end. I was genuinely concerned my main mightve got Gunk'd
@@SalemKFox True, it is sort of weird that his mentality went from being angered at Kril and basically blaming him for ending up down in the dark ocean place, and to him becoming a completely 'objective' savior type mentality. But to be fair, the only dialogue we get from him at the end is AFTER he put on the whorl, which may have changed his behavior somewhat.
OR he simply found enlightenment after gaining 'godly' powers and could see things clearly from his own perspective. So instead of holding a grudge against Kril or needing to entertain his own anger from before, those problems simply became meaningless and he has 'bigger fish to fry' now that he has world-changing abilities.
This game is made by shit leftists, what do you think would happen?
I knew he was the final boss just from being on the ship alone
Am I the only who put all the power points in attack? Like 90 in total with all buffs from attachments (though can be more, not fully upgraded fork). Half bosses in the game were dead with 2-4 punches. It wasn't so satisfying actually😮
Glass cannon babyyyyyy
@@connergrissom9523 lol I put like 50% os my levels in atk and I was always thinking "I'm going for a glass cannon"
I put mine into all attack and Umami. I ended up with the conclusion that if all my defense is going to come mostly from various shells, why put anything into resistance? It made even less since when I started to get better at parrying along with getting abilities that restored my shell health.
@@SalemKFox That's what I did. Run, block, parry, evade and full attack.
I put most of mine in attack but used the sinker adaptations to have over 100% bonus balance damage.
I used the electric ability and grapple attack and could pretty much rinse and repeat every boss for critical attacks while they couldn’t attack me 😂
NO THAT ISNT SOLID SNAKE 3:40
You know it would be an interesting details the perfect whorl had half of its durability removed and it had the ability infinite power sure I know it would just end the game either way but it would be funny if they actually added it
in begging the crab snap like thanos

ULTRAKILL V2 fight be like:
Just going through youtube and just got a spoiler in my face .... Cod

I loved this game but the ending was pretty damn awful. Everything you did was basically for nothing, you get his shell back but at the literal sake of his sanity, then you give it to a random crab without a shell and all our friends are pretty much dead.
It was so anticlimactic and abrupt with no real happy ending for Krill 😂
I searched up where to go after sludge steamroller, and yt suggests me this title and thumbnail, thanks for the spoilers youtube... so fucking done with this man.

Maybe it's one of those multiple ending rogue games
it's not a rogue game, it's a soulslike
No, the whole point is that Firth deserves to die
Its a soulslike, not a roguelike game, and no, this isthe only ending
Fuck are these two talking about, you know multiple endings in a videogame isn't a rouge like thing right? The fucking souls game this thing is inspired from have multiple endings in literally every game, what are you 14?
Wait, that's it? That is how this story ends? That's freaking pointless! In fact, everything is now worse.
I was so angry when I got to the end 😂 Kril and Firth really messed things up
Ngl firth for me was a easy fight only took me about 2 or 3 tries
Firth finna hit you with the comically large spoon.
No wonder this guy is crazy, he's voice by Michael fucking Reeves
