Eugene seemed genuinely upset about hitting that dog. I'll bet he was thinking about Pesto and Emma, and how easy it would be for him or someone else to hit them. I think that fake dog taught him more about the dangers of drunk driving than anything else in the video.
That's exactly what I was thinking when he hit the dog, his expression just faltered there. 15:05 was such a real moment. It felt like he actually got into a car accident for a moment.
At the 16:50 it seemed like it just hit him. "I thought I was doing really well." That at this moment he realized how bad it was, that he wasn't actually doing as well as he thought he was and how that he could have actually killed a dog. Maybe even Pesto and Emma if they came to mind, or how anyone with the same mindset of his could have hit them.
It broke my heart seeing eugene so sad

I just want to say thank you for making this video. My husband recently told me he wants a divorce and I went to the bar and had a very strong drink (I'm like Zach, super cheap drunk). I kept telling myself I was fine to drive after half an hour, but then I thought about this video and how much my actions could affect me or someone else. I got an Uber and picked up my car in the morning feeling really good that I didn’t push my limit or do something stupid. Thank you Try Guys!

The thing is, I've been in a car when someone was drunk driving, not only that, but they got their license recently as well. I was legit crying because not only did they almost hit like 5 people, they bumped a fence and scratched a car. Then the other time another friend was drunk, they had their license for a while and are pretty safe when they drunk drive, but they made a mistake of tampering with the radio and not looking at the road so they hit something, and of course turned the wheel around and we went over a very high curb, and through a wire fence. My friend immidiately said 'okay, get the FUCK out, we're walking home', so that sobered up the person drunk driving, and they went home while me and my friend walked home, which took about an hour and a half of walking in pitch black. Fun night

The scariest comment was Eugene saying he drives at that level of intoxication and barely felt tipsy then hit the dog and didnt even know. Jeez all of it is terrifying I hope this helps anyone out there not make the decision to drink and drive even if you think you are just tipsy.

No, its so, so common in LA no one really even cares at this point. And all he admitted to was that he was "distracted" (I just saw him looking down as he wasn't stopping in my rearview and then he said that, so I can't imagine it being anything else). Thankfully his insurance ended up having to admit 100% fault though, because he did admit to being distracted, so all my repairs and doctors visits are covered and loss of work.

Living in wisconsin, my dad got hit by a drunk driver two years ago, and I’ll never forget the phone call and the pure panic I felt. Thankfully, my dad is still here and doing amazing but that month of him having a back injury was the worst month I experienced

A really really good friend of mine, Hannah, died in a drunk driving accident. She was driving to work, and this woman, who was extremely drunk, ran a red light and t-boned Hannah, after already hitting 5 other people. Hannah was in a coma for about two weeks, with no progress, before she passed. She was 21, she was so bright and full of life and nothing but nice to everyone and everything, and she absolutely, 100 percent, never deserved that. She never did anything to deserve being hit by a drunk driver. A life was lost, and that woman was charged with second degree murder, aggravated DUI, aggravated assault with a dangerous instrument, aggravated assault with serious physical injury, felony criminal damage, possession of narcotic drugs and 10 counts of felony endangerment.
Do not drink and drive. Do not drive under any influence. Do not put your own life, and many others, in danger. Do not. Please.
I’m so sorry for your loss, we must stop drunk driving. We must not allow more good people like Hannah to die that way...

I have an alcoholic dad and when I was young he would drive me and my siblings around and he would swerve and go really fast. It was fun at the time because I was really young and it was like a rollercoaster. But now I realize how scary that is.
Re-watcing this video, and I realize that at 16:15 Keith and Eugene talk about how they knew people that passed from drunk driving. It's probably not affecting you guys as much as a few years ago, but I am so sorry for your loss. Let this be a lesson to everyone; it doesn't matter who you are, how famous you are, anything- anyone can be the victim or know the victim. We are all at risk just as much as the next person, take precautions and don't use the 'just one drink' excuse. You can buy a life for a drink, but there isn't a return policy on that.

Obviously that's not how it went down. One cup of coffee turned into two bottles of wine, three desserts and staying up talking until four in the morning. Too late to backpedal. Too good not to keep going

Honestly, one of my fav things about life in Japan is that if you have even a swallow of alcohol, it's illegal to drive. The legal BAC is 0, lol. Very easy to know if you are able to drive or not.
When I was 9 my 20 year old brother and 6 month old nnephew were killed by an 18 year old guy who was extremely drunk and had already hit some ladies car and fled down the wrong side of the highway. He was doing around 110 mph when he hit them head on. Obviously they both died on impact, both cars were absolutely destroyed and its just a miracle the guy and my brothers wife didn't get killed.
I remember my mom getting that phone call and she just fell down crying and screaming. She was so deeply hurt by that and that paved the way for me to have a very rough childhood.
When you are drunk, just remember that 15 minute "I've got this" trip could be someone else's first and last "oh shit there's *nothing* I can do" trip, and a cop and a doctor are gonna have to explain why some family members aren't coming home, and they do that job because they too have family members to protect.
I am very sorry that happened to your family. My condolences and I hope you all feel better now
I want to thank you all for doing this video. My father was killed by a drunk driver who thought it would be "ok" to drive home after a night out and afterparties. My father rode his bike to work every morning. The driver hit him, ran over him and drove off. Police found the driver 5 hours later pushing his broken down car (because he hit a human being) through a neighborhood, still drunk, hitting parked cars and mailboxes, trying to hide. The driver was sentenced to aggravated manslaughter (because he fled the scene) and is spending the next 15 years in prison. NOTHING makes it better or brings my father back. Drinking and driving can literally ruin your life and the lives of people you don't even know.

My friend was in an accident (everyone in the car was sober) but if it wasn’t for her friend who instinctively put their arms up, she would have gone through the windshield and I would have lost her. It was a miracle and it also made us all appreciate our lives more.

My friend’s mom tried to administer a field sobriety test on me and was horrified at how poorly I did at the balance tests before I told her I’m disabled and walk with a cane half the time 😅
i’ve always wondered how they’re supposed to test people with disabilities that don’t impair their driving but do impair their walking or balancing. would they just use a breathalyzer? stationary visual checks? it makes me very grateful to be able-bodied
