It's on something better than 4K, FILM. This was directed by Martin Scorscese, an Academy Award winning director, so it should look real good. And the musicians are all pretty good too .Understatement of the week.

Yep. 35 film effectively has infinite resolution. Check out the old original Star Trek episodes when they air. You can see every pore of their faces on the close-ups. We had better than 4K back in the sixties. I will not speak of VTR or VHS though.

Concert was in 1976. You have opened up something really special with these guys. A lot of good music. This was actually their farewell concert, well sort of. Check out their version of “Long Black Veil”. It’s hard to describe their music, it’s kind of like backwoods soulful rocky funk.

The original record came out in 1968, but this is from The Last Waltz, a 1978 documentary centered around The Band's last performance and directed by Martin Scorsese. There's a terrific version of this song from Playing for Change which features Robbie Robertson (composer and lead guitarist) and Ringo Starr. Other Band greats: Ophelia, Stage Fright, Up on Cripple Creek.

This is from the movie "The Last Waltz" directed by Martin Scorsese, which recorded a 4 days of Concerts to mark the official last performances of The Band and edited them down to one movie. So many great musicians joined them for song after song and this one has the magic and soul of the Staples Singers. The entire movie is well worth watching. The Last Waltz is one of music's greatest gifts; a concert chocked end to end with some of the best performances ever recorded by some of music's biggest stars, caught on film by a master film maker to preserve it for all time. "The Weight" is an utter classic but would you believe there's easily a half a dozen other tracks that are at least as good? "Stagefright" "It Makes No Difference" "Further On Up The Road" "Caravan" for starters!
