Well people hated every match being snakes eyes or fire kings. So now they should be happy that almost every match is yubel now. We got the meta shake up we wanted😂.

I dont hate Pure Snake Eyes, the deck can be countered and delt with no issue.

For those that are curious or maybe confused about this ruling about not being to reborn *"Phantom of Yubel"* lets me explain.
Both *"Vicious Astraloud"* (Visas Fusion Monster), *"Thunder Dragon Colossus"* (If you don't fusion summon it) and *"Phantom of Yubel"* has the summoning condition of:
*"MUST BE Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck)"*
Vicious Astraloud:
- Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards from your field and/or GY.
Phantom of Yubel:
- Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by shuffling the above cards from your hand, field, and/or GY into the Deck/Extra Deck.
Thunder Dragon Colossus:
- Must be either Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned during the turn a Thunder monster's effect was activated in the hand, by Tributing 1 Thunder Effect non-Fusion Monster (in which case you do not use "Polymerization").
This type of summoning is not "proper" since it "cheats out" the monster and thus you cannot reborn them. Also those monsters can only be summoned directly from Extra Deck.
Examples are:
- Baronne de Fleur not being able to return to Extra Deck to reborn Vicious Astraloud since it wasn't properly summoned.
- Guiding Quem can't reborn any of the Fusion Monster that you sent from Extra Deck directly to GY (By Mirrorjade, Branded in High Spirits, Nadir Servant, etc...).
- And in this duel, Grave Squirmer can't reborn Phantom of Yubel.
However, there are exceptions and those are the Ninja Fusion Monsters.
Meizen the Battle Ninja:
- Must first be either Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by Tributing the above cards you control.
Yaguramaru the Armor Ninja:
- Must first be either Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by Tributing the above cards.
Unlike the first 3 Fusion monsters I've mentioned, these 2 Ninja Fusions has a different wording.
They say: *"MUST FIRST"*
This means, AFTER YOU SUMMON THEM (either proper using fusion effect, or cheat them out by tributing 2 Ninja with different types) You'd be able to reborn them with no issues.
Example is by using "Ninjitsu Art: Notebook of Mystery"
(If your opponent controls a card: You can Set up to 1 "Ninja" monster, and up to 1 "Ninjitsu Art" Spell/Trap, except "Ninjitsu Art Notebook of Mystery". These cards come from your Deck and/or GY, but only 1 can come from each.)
You'd be able to set/special summon them face-down from the GY even if you cheated them out.
Reason being is they aren't exclusive to ONLY BEING SUMMONED FROM EXTRA DECK unlike the first 3, and "MUST FIRST" also makes their summons "proper", even if you technically "cheated them out".

Actually ANY "Must" distinction is a proper Special Summon, but DOES NOT allow "post mortem"(from GY/Banishment) Special Summons unless you both use the proper method first and THEN a card that can "ignore the summoning conditions" to special summon from those alternate locations because of screwy game mechanics. And I say screwy because even "Must" effects can be bypassed by "Ignoring its summoning conditions" unless they add "and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways"(which itself can be "bypassed" by treating an alternate method like the specific method, which is what Crystron Halqifibrax and Crimson Dragon do for their respective effects to bring out a Synchro Monster, treating the effect as a Synchro Summon).
"Must First" actually locks out most non-ignoring "cheat" methods entirely, that's why Sky Striker Ace Camellia can utilize a floating effect(or even be brought out through something like Monster Reborn or Azalea Temperance) that special summons itself from GY but can't be brought out through Raye or Linkage, which are not considered Link Summons, thus locking out even its default floating effect to special itself from GY if an "Ignoring" effect to Special Summon a Link Monster were utilized(similar to how Starlight Road prevents Stardust Dragon from Special Summon itself after using its Tribute despite no special restriction printed on the card).
Also note that temporary banishes are different from Special Summoning from Banishment, so something like Zeke can bring back a "must be Special Summoned by" monster at the end of the effect's duration, while Zealantis can only bring back a "must first" since it actually resummons what it banishes.

Chronicle is definitely the game changer and breaks open the mirror. It does too much for an "N".

I gotta say, Yubel (or Fiend Pile/Fiend Link, as that’s probably a more accurate name) is a great alternative to SEFK. When you get bored of one, you can switch to the other.

If your super experienced maybe but for people like me who only have 2 days of yugioh experience asking is helpful as you can get information from someone and then even ask questions if needed.

1:14:29 I'm glad Dkayed is defending the "Missing the Timing" ruling here and explaning that it is not "stupid" or "why don't they just remove that" from players' mind.
If "When effects" where all changed to "IF" then CARDS LIKE Branded Lost, and Dupe Frog would be stronger exponentially.
The former (Branded Lost) would make trigger effects unable to activate regardless of the Chain Link of the Fusion Summon.
Like, if you Super Poly Sharvara or with Kitkallos, or any of the Tearlaments Monsters as ANY CHAIN LINK and you have Branded Lost on the field their GY effects WON'T TRIGGER!
With the latter (Dupe Frog), making it an "if" would make it behave like Poplar, where it triggers even if you just link with it. This can make the card way stronger then before since it now easily triggers.
Let’s just shoot the middleman and change the rulings so that “when” = “if”
Can you explain to me the missed timing with the eternal favourite like im 5? why does chaining eternal favourite allow me to use spirit of yubel effects when summoned? Sorry, been like 20 years since i played and im just now getting back to it
@@IamGroot-g2d "When" means you can only respond to it immediately after the condition for the "when" effect is met (with no other effects in between). Bottomless trap hole is a decent example. Lets say your opponent summons a monster as the result of a chain where it was summoned as chain link 2 or higher, you cannot use bottomless trap hole in response because you cannot respond to a chain while its resolving. Therefore you cannot respond *when* it was summoned therefore you missed the timing and cant use Bottomless Trap Hole
If it was a *if* effect you could respond to it despite that because you wouldnt need to respond to it immediately after the condition is satisfied

Let's say they use Maxx "C" (Chain Link 1) and then you chained Eternal Favourite (Chain link 2)
Now since you used Eternal Favourite as Chain link 2, the monster was summoned (just imagine it) and THEN Maxx "C" resolved.
Eternal Favorite makes BOTH PLAYERS UNABLE TO ACTIVATE any effects WHEN you SUMMON a Yubel Monster.
*But in this scenario, the last thing that happened was NOT THE SUMMON of the Yubel Monster, but instead Maxx "C"'s effect resolution.*
(meaning Maxx "C"'s effect application was the last thing that occured, not the summon)
*So, because of that (chain link 2), the effect of Eternal Favorite to make "Neither player can activate cards or effects when that monster is summoned" misses the timing.
(And allows you to trigger Spirit of Yubel's effect) *
Another example (for the TCG) is using Tenpai Dragon monsters to Synchro Summon "Trident Dragion" as Chain Link 2.
Since it was Chain Link 2, Trident Dragion's effect to Destroy up to 2 cards on the field IS NOT ACTIVATABLE.
TLDR:
*Using an effect to summon a monster with a "When" effect as Chain Link 2, makes them Miss the Timing since the MONSTER WAS SUMMONED, THEN A CARD RESOLVED. (The Summon was not the last thing that happened)*

I am the FK, I didn't nib because I missed the on-summon window to toggle on. I was looking out for it, but you know, it's not very forgiving. I had to be toggled off for the entirety of it prior or he would just end on a board without ever giving a nib opportunity, which I thought he might do to go for lethal. And he did. Still missed it, really sad, was cooking in 40 degrees on no sleep

If it's still in the chain then it wasn't negated, it only gets negated when the chain resolves. For example: You opponent activates Maxx C[1], then you activate Ash Blossom[2] in response, your opponent chains Crossout[3] declaring Ash, finally you chain Crossout[4] declaring Crossout. The chain resolves backwards so Crossout[3] would be negated and then Maxx C would be negated by your Ash.

I can see your logic, however the better solution is to deal with old problems, not just rush out a bunch of broken decks without limiting existing problems first
@@FrostReave Although I agree that current problems should be fixed but that seems way too difficult for konami with how they release cards nowadays. Snake Eyes for example has so many ways to start a 1-card full combo to the point where you needed many negates just to make the user pay something atleast.
With the release of new Archetypes you could broaden up the counters to some current archetypes. I mean Yubel kinda is useless against dinos or some others who restrict special summons. Kashtira can banish the cards face down or even just banish. There maybe are 1-2 cards from Yubel that allow to summon out of banishment which are at most only at 1 in the decks from what I've seen.
