Asmon needs to really check his own ego especially in pvp. The dude was a weak link in his premade. Coming from someone who has beaten him personally in ab
He's entertaining, but based off of his gameplay he's mediocre at best, for sure doesn't have good positioning/awareness in PvP, which is the most important factor for warriors. Not killing blows like he references in the video lmao
@Natty R I do agree. But being a hypocrite, whether admittedly or not, doesn't change the fact he will do hypocritical things. And tbf, many ppl do. He's not a top 1% MVP ARENA BG MYTHIC RAID god. He's a pretty standard player with an entertaining Twitch channel.
My GM was in line to be the first rank 14 horde side on our sever. Other players actually mass flagged him, accusing him of botting, and he got a 6 month ban. He plays PoE now. Most of the players responsible for his ban got themselves banned for unrelated reasons. Classic PvP is cancer.
@elitist douche bag most people didn't properly organize against bots aside from reporting them a lot, which as we know did little to help. On the other hand, I can 100% believe that a lot of players would rally against one or a few people for supposed wrongdoings, because I've seen it again and again. Any mmo player who's been in guilds long enough has seen his share of ridiculous conspiracies, so nothing would really surprise me
I believe the same thing happened to me. I didn't bot, but blizzard thinks I did. Initial penalty was perma ban. I complained immediately of course. Blizz reduced it to 6 months. When I asked what did I do wrong, they just tell me I botted without any further explanation. I understand that they don't want to overturn evidence to people who actually botted in order to delay bot improvement, but it's pretty fucked up when the accused is innocent. Needless to say it sucked to say goodbye to the account with rank 12 and over 100 days played, but hey what can you do. Anyway I started from scratch again on a new account and grinded my way back. Expect to hit r10 next week. Don't know if I'll go all the way to 14 though.

Got rank 14 on my priest some weeks ago, was it worth it? i dunno. Will feel good having the mace until you start to see healers running around with the C'tun mace.
As a priest it's 10 times easier getting into premades than a warrior. you're not expected to spend around 10k gold every month of premades with sappers lips mrp and so on. It's still a time consuming grind but far easier than what a warrior has to go through. Reaching rank 14 on a priest or a paladin on some servers with party pooling is actually quite manageable with a full time job.

During the original honor grind in vanilla I regularly waited in 60-90 min queues for WSG, AV popped maybe twice a day if we were lucky, AB was only active 3-4 times a day. We played until 4-5 in the morning, slept 3 hours, then play all day again, taking a few short breaks through out for food. It was absolutely brutal on an Alliance heavy server.
Me watching Madseason video that he posted seven hours ago "Hey good video, I wonder how Asmongold will react to it" Immediately I go back to the home page and Asmongold's reaction is up as of five hours ago. "I think that's the shortest amount of time I've ever wondered about something"

I remember once in WotLK me and two IRL friends were leveling Horde characters together on a PvP server. We were talking on Skype as we're running through Stonetalon in like our mid 20s or something, suddenly I see Grand Marshall
Pretty obvious asmon never PvP'd in classic to see what top end is like LOL; there really is a way to tell who is top end in classic its just not a public leaderboard; its all internal on how much they spend on consumes on AH to be a sweaty tryhard popping lip while throwing genades and Deathraying you while noggenfoggering off LM to BS to cap while /rude while falling.
When I did my own rank 14 grind back in Vanilla I didn't use any consumables at all. Took me 3 months with 18 hours a day doing WSG with the same premade to finally get it. I still have that warrior to this day and I have leveled him now and using him as my primary alt.
I cant even imagine playing a game for more than 6 hours. Like cmon. I have a social life, need to eat, sleep, university crap/ working. In my childhood? Ok that was feasable, but not now wtf
I mean When you're a WoW content creator, its sorta your job to play WoW So it's more doing your job for 6 hours, then it is playing Obviously extremely simplified but the point gets across?
I remember as a gen 1 how fking discusting the ranking was ,Everysingle 5min break and more you’d automatically think how much honor your losing not pvping
This is 100% is why I loved vanilla so fking much man..... I Pvp'd with the top alliance people (Been horde longer now than alliance though). I grinded to rank 12 (Marshal) and played with numerous rank 14s and the best part was we just had a blast. I eventually joined the majority of guys' guild and killed c'thun ONCE with this guild. The worst part of vanilla WoW was when the people I fell in love with the game playing with stopped or scattered after the GM left, it was nearly impossible to find a new group of people who just enjoyed playing together. 15 years later and I still have not quite found this. I don't think it has anything to do with the people but how the WoW community or ecosystem works now. This is why classic will never be vanilla. a decade of a half of the world has fallen upon us and people are just not the same. People change, communities change, vanilla was the epitome of MMOs and will never ever be recreated again. It's like those friends you have that live in the past like they're still in high school playing beer pong.
Fun fact. Back when Overwatch was in closed beta and I was lucky enough to get into it, I met a player called "Maydie" and I thought "Wait a second.. I know that name from wayy back" so I whispered him, asking if he did a few wow pvp videos back in the day, sure enough it was him. The world is small.
So my Grand Marshal grind was both fun and toxic back in the day. I started out just doing BG's and had no intention of going all the way to rank 14. I did the grind as a restoration druid, healing my Warrior buddy everyday for hours. Druids back then sucked as dps is both PVE and PVP. So i did not kid myself and pretend to be something i am not and became a BG healer as that's where my strength lay. I can not describe the fun i had keeping my buddy healed while he ploughed through players like they were bowling pins, its memories that i will keep and good times i had. Warsong Gulch was my playground being the flag runner and capturing flags like a boss. But as i started to get a new rank and moved further up the ladder it wasn't until id say Knight-lieutenant( at this rank i started to be invited to pre-mades) that the politics started to turn the whole thing Toxic. I continued the grind as i just focused on the fun aspect, healing my Warrior buddy , i almost became immune to the Toxic nature and just accepted it as part of the whole process,i was never once Toxic, in fact i very rarely spoke ,i just looked at my honour cap ,hit that and then chilled out. But because i wasn't out spoken and Toxic it made people anxious that i would just go over my honour cap all the time(which i never did). There was one whisper from a field-marshal that stuck with me to this day...''Dude just to let you know. If you go over the cap,i will use your IP address to find you and ill kill your whole bloodline'' Its a good job i am not a sensitive person lol. I am playing Classic now and i am yet to even step foot in a BG.
This "they won, but they suck!" mentality isn't limited to WoW pvp. It seems to be a very standard defence mechanism form gamers who gets rekt. It happens ALL the time in World of Tanks as well, guys who did no damage and got rekt calling the guy carrying the team a noob. I don't get it

It's about time not skill, when you face pugs with a premade averaging rank 10 or higher, it just is not impressive at all

Literally sucks at the game > "DOOD I WAS SO GOOD" 4. Hates when people with high egos talk shit cuz they think they are good when they aren't cuz of lack of arena rating > does literally the same
Very rarely do you lose a premade vs premade cus of 1 person only, usually composition matters, consumables used and/or strategy. Ranking in premades is a team effort and often doesnt have room for solo heroes
I remember doing this in Vanilla. About 3 months erased from life XD Being on an RP server probably made things much easier but still... pure insanity. Absolutely would not do it again now but back then... hell yea :P
I'm on my last week until r14. It really is true that you hate your own team more than the opposing team most of the time. I have to mute discord in between games just because I'm tired of hearing someone's voice.
I think holding people accountable for their actions in a competitive environment doesnt mean you are toxic. If you are doing that in a casual situation then yes, you are toxic, but if you do that in ranked, thats just normal. I would consider behaving casually in a ranked situation is toxic.
also nobody talks about the thousands of bullshit toons that get 15 hks on a bot near the starting zone, then get deleted to increase the overall pool and increase the numbers of slots in the top couple brackets. They will grind THOUSANDS of hks in this way just to get ONE more person a slot in the top bracket that week. Its literally "degenerate gameplay" incarnate. People in my guild would make and delete toons like this when they were bored, just to help dudes out that were going for it, because everyone understands how insane the grind is. its kinda amazing in its own way lol

it's true, I'd watch Asmon point out mistakes and other players would get triggered. To be fair they were playing 10+ hours and fatigue is harsh on wit and civility. Congrats MadSeason on Rank 14
Yikes. How dumb can you get? Yeah madseason took a break for around a month, but he was already like r13 by then. I don’t get what you mean by "getting a ton of help", as no matter how good your premade is, you still need to spend about 8-10 hours every day PvP-ing on a populated realm. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.
I used to boost people for money in csgo when i was 16. Which meant that i played csgo 9 hours a day, sometimes even more when i didnt have school. At summer holidays i would play csgo for 16 hours a day. I made a good amount of money by doing it, but i was dumb as fuck and spent it all on either skins, clothes or sometimes ecstasy on the days when i was extremely tired but i had to keep playing because my schedule for the next few days was full. I stopped playing csgo when it became free2play because 1. I just hated the game so fucking much 2. My lifestyle drove me to severe panic attacks, anxiety, frequent insomnia and i was also failing in school. In the first couple of months after i quit playing i felt empty, like i was supposed to be doing something instead of watching netflix, i dont know how to describe it, but it felt awful. Now that i look back at those times i regret ever buying that shitty fucking game. I got over most of my mental health issues caused by it but one still stays and that is anxiety. Its been 4 years since then and im still taking medication for it. I also cannot interact with other people, im actually socialy retarded. I excell at formal conversations, like job interviews because in my mind those have a purpose. I have to impress the person i am talking to, my future depends on it. But i just cant handle everyday conversations because they seem meaningless to me. I tried making them mean something but theres some kind of a block in my mind that i cant pass. I hope this gets lost in the void, ive never even told this to my therapist, atleast not all of it.
I'll never understand why people who obviously don't want to be there go into RBGs. They immediately give up and start talking shit before the match even starts. I'm still convinced they are opposite faction operatives there to destroy morale.

Skeram brackets around normally 600k 350k 250k
Venoxxis (Horde) on EU used to cap around 1M for b1, now it's down to 600k cause people don't really care any more
Very rarely do you lose a premade vs premade cus of 1 person only, usually composition matters, consumables used and/or strategy. Ranking in premades is a team effort and often doesnt have room for solo heroes
I remember doing this in Vanilla. About 3 months erased from life XD Being on an RP server probably made things much easier but still... pure insanity. Absolutely would not do it again now but back then... hell yea :P
Lol which RP server? I was on Argent Dawn. It was way competitive.

I'm on my last week until r14. It really is true that you hate your own team more than the opposing team most of the time. I have to mute discord in between games just because I'm tired of hearing someone's voice.
Madseason, a hero of the alliance. God bless
he talks about people being dog shit but he struggles to get 1600 in retail
I think holding people accountable for their actions in a competitive environment doesnt mean you are toxic. If you are doing that in a casual situation then yes, you are toxic, but if you do that in ranked, thats just normal. I would consider behaving casually in a ranked situation is toxic.
I'd say it was worth it in Vanilla, as you can continue to ride that prestige train in Retail almost 20 years later. Not so much in Classic.
that song is from six silent shadows innit
What's harder to get - Rank 14 or Scepter of the Shifting Sands?
And some of us actually made rank 14 the first time round and not cheese it the second time round
3 months, think I only spent just over 1 month but only got rank 13 tho.
When you're watching rank 14 video with 14k views and 1.4k likes..............
Rank 14 was an interesting experience. The drama around bracketstacking alone was worth it
True we had a guy who didnt get a slot after fucking up stacking so he transferd in his last 4 weeks to a low pop server
26:23 song?
1:08 HEY!
memories of Pat PVP Videos? O_O
imagine thinking horde brackets are easier when they're 920k caps with queue times ranging from 10 to 15 to 1.5 hr queues wsg-ab-av
The original Video isnt even out half a day
also nobody talks about the thousands of bullshit toons that get 15 hks on a bot near the starting zone, then get deleted to increase the overall pool and increase the numbers of slots in the top couple brackets. They will grind THOUSANDS of hks in this way just to get ONE more person a slot in the top bracket that week. Its literally "degenerate gameplay" incarnate. People in my guild would make and delete toons like this when they were bored, just to help dudes out that were going for it, because everyone understands how insane the grind is. its kinda amazing in its own way lol
if you like reading PVP salt in discord skeram server discord is PURE GOLD
Bro if you push 3 buttons in classic wow you def aren't a good war in classic.
I did the rank 14 grind twice on the horde side Gandling EU, AMA
Left/Right arrow on the seek bar Seek backward/forward 5 seconds.
, (comma) While the video is paused, skip to the next frame.
. (period) While the video is paused, go back to the previous frame.
I see that Mauler video in your recommended. When's the EFAP reaction video?
very negative outrage farmers yay
Wish i watched this before i got rank 14 lol
Yo straight stealing the Six Silent Shadows opening song. For shame Madseason! JK love that guy haha.
it's true, I'd watch Asmon point out mistakes and other players would get triggered. To be fair they were playing 10+ hours and fatigue is harsh on wit and civility. Congrats MadSeason on Rank 14
THERE WAS NEVER ANY DOUBT
MY DUCKING BOY
ONE OF THE FACES OF CLASSIC PLATED IN THE MOST PRICELESS GOLD
POGU MADSEASON MY DUCKING BOY
He must have got a ton of help, he was only gone for like a month lol
Over 2 month
@ill bill dumbfuck
@ill bill filthy gaijin
Holy shit! I cant wait to see if classic ends up going to BC.. please god, let this happen!
Asmon wearing the old Army PT shirt?
"DID HE JUST SAY THE FUCKING F WORD" HAHAHA Im dying xD
As an italian I really appreciated his tribute to Morricone in the intro music and the good, bad, ugly quote
25:04 This guy is a GOD AMONG MEN
I used to boost people for money in csgo when i was 16.
Wonder if he is talking about slipry on faerlina lol.
at 2:48 morrowind music?
Man I just want something new with the same design philosophy as Classic, but not Classic. Replaying it is nice and all, but I want something new.
McConnel: "Did he said the fucking F word?"
Yeah he said *forget*
I'll never understand why people who obviously don't want to be there go into RBGs. They immediately give up and start talking shit before the match even starts. I'm still convinced they are opposite faction operatives there to destroy morale.
How a guy makes a 27 min video out of a much shorter one??...
Nonstop afk-ing battlegrounds is undeniably the most difficult task in Classic wow.
