Cats are truly intelligent and beautiful animals. I can actually call my cat to me from anywhere in my house with just her nickname, and she can open doors in my house by herself.

I recently found out that cats use their 'purr' to heal. They physically heal each other and us! I have siezures and all of them gather around me and purr when I'm unwell. I love cats so much!

This was so lovely. Thank you for sharing. Some of this cat mythology was familiar for me and some was totally new. My familiar cat passed away two years ago. I still see her in my dreams occasionally.

This edition of Totem Tuesday is as always awesome. My cat walked around the house as if her darkest secret was revealed. And on the other hand so now you know how to treat me. Although I have her for 7 years this year she acts totally diffrent. More self-confident. If she wants it, she goes for it. If that door isn't open, than she makes it open. Thank you for the insides I learned from it.

As always wonderful video! Story about my cat Veronica, is that she picked me and chose her own name. When I went to a shelter to get a cat all the cats were aloud to roam the shelter she was in one of those cat trees in one of the little houses as I walked by she reached out and grabbed my skirt with her paw. Then the next day I was in a different room from where she was and I started calling out names that came to mind, when I got to Veronica she came bounding in with a meow.

I am an a definite cat when it comes to totems. My mother, who is very closed minded, often results in the deaths of my cats via letting them outside. Both on purpose and on accident. But despite the great sadness I gain when she does such things, I try not to let it get me down. As long as we have one cat in the house, I feel reassured that my spirits shall not die. And she keeps buying a new replacement cat so I don't yell at her. My life may be sad right now, but this info lifts my spirits.

I live close to lake Erie in New York and the lake is named for a now basically extinct native tribe called Eriez for short. Their full name means "cat people" or "people of the cat"

My cat, Sammie, sort of choose us. He came up to our door step 3 days before the Christmas of 2012, he was tiny and starving. When he came to us he was prob about 3 months old. I asked my parents if I could bring him in and feed/bathe him. At first they said no, but after a few hours my step-dad called me and told me to bring him in. :D that night Sammie curled up beside me on my bed and fell asleep. He now sleeps with me every night. :)

I always loved cats, had cats as far as I can remember. If I frequent a location that no cat has been known to be around. Out of nowhere one or more will suddenly appear and only when I am there.

For me, I've found Cat has a meaning that wanders from the usual interpretation: "Take heed! Major change is coming!"
For me, it was having a tabby stare at me from the garden before wandering off a couple times. And having two singing instructors dropping a "sorry, going to a new city far away soon!"
So, when I see a cat wandering about, my first thought is: "oh, god, what now?"

I befriended a then new striped stray tabby and not too long after that i started my serious spiritual path more than 1 year ago. I can relate heavily to this spirit message of the cat ☺️

I would absolutely love to see a video on orcas/killer whales. Not only do I feel a very strong, spiritual connection to them, but they are just such magnificent, fascinating and intelligent animals

I know this is an oldy and I have no idea why I have not seen it before, but thank you. I have two questions that I am hoping you will address in another video please.First, you mentioned that Brigid has a cat form. I had never even heard of her having multiple forms. Could you go further on this. And second, Can you discuss the connections, if any, between Ceridwen and Brigid or Ceridwen and any other Deity? One last thing, I am sure you are still making videos, as I find them now and then, but it is difficult. I do not know why you are not popping up in my subscriptions. I just wanted to let you know that you are sought after. Many Blessings.

I have heard that domestic dogs and even wild ones can see spirits. I've also heard that about cats, is it true?

hi laura, the video cut off in the middle of you talking about cats and dogs. is a part two coming? I do want to hear about cats and faerys and whatever else you have. I do appreciate the cat video today as I am on my way to the two hour drive to help my mom administer fluids to her cat in kidney failure. we too are cat people you might say; even been called crazy cat ladies by relatives. we agree, cats do see things we do not see. sometimes it is very intense but they seem to be on top of it.

I can say that the african wildcat (ancestress of housecats) is one of totem animals along with the fox and the raven, I have also a cat as my pet and I can clearly say that I am clearly a cat lover.
But I personaly prefer the connection of cats and the sun. A lot because of Bast and her being "the eye of Ra" and I clearly dislike of seeing her as a moon goddess. For me Bast or Bastet (my prefered name version) always remains a sun goddess.
But what's the matter it is only my meaning and I don't want to offend you with it.
    Greetings and good evening

Not to break your heart, but here in the States there are people who still do perverted things to cats for no better reason than to do so. Worse yet, they film it and put it on youtube. I had a "friend" who heard I had a bad experience with a cat being murdered, and decided to show me the stuff on the internet to show that her murder could have been worse. The perversion of people is incredible, weather it's harming other humans, defenseless animals, or the Earth, the perversion is just incredible.
