- I reacted to ENHYPEN's Drunk-Dazed MV and Dance Practice. And I am actually hooked on this piece, not just because of their dancing, but because of the story and how it's being executed. This video I share why I think so.

Quick about me:
My real name is Tad, but DonKawaii/Don was simply an IGN name I created playing FF14 online, so I kinda just rolled with it. Lol. You can call me either one. I am also a teacher, and I teach people dance. And normally, I teach my students dance through sharing my own choreography, giving people drills or exercises to build foundation and technique. and I've been dancing for 15 years mainly growing up through Hip Hop dance culture, but have also taken inspiration from other dance artforms such as ballet, jazz, and tap. And how I got into K-Pop was because the main three groups, Wonder Girls, Big Bang, and SNSD. That followed with other things hallyu like korean dramas, variety shows, and the rest is history.

Why "Dance Teacher" even though you say "Dance Mentor"?
I actually consider myself both. I am not just someone who teaches dance, but I resonate more as a mentor who is there to help, train, or advise dancers to take steps into the right direction. "Dance Teacher" is a title that just makes it easier for newer people to understand what I do.
Do you actually know or speak Korean?
Baby levels. I've studied Korean 한국어 for 1 year when I was in community college. I can read and write in Korean, but I still have trouble speaking and formulating sentences.
Have you ever worked for any K-Pop artists in terms of creating choreography, backup dancers, etc.?
Yes, but not directly or in-person. I have partaken in K-Pop choreography submission projects/demos under the direction of dancers such as Pat Cruz (Kinjaz, The Company), Larkin Poynton (Project Home), and Alo Galedo (Brotherhood, The Company).

its been 3 months since drunk-dazed came out and my mind still just randomly starts to sings DAZED DAZED DAZED out of nowhere. i swear this whole song is a drug to me
Fun fact: NIKI (light purple hair) is 15 but the members choosed him as 'dance leader', him dancing looks so natural and he can pull off any concept + you can find on TH-cam him as a little kid doing Michael Jackson's famous 45-degree lean! and also one time he was a backup dancer on Shinee concert in Japan also as a little kid
Yes he was a Shinee Kid and had many famous choreographers/dancers as his mentors. Kento Mori was his mentor when he was little and the videos of them dancing together are adorable! He has also danced with Rikimaru. His parents own a dance studio and Riki even taught his own class there. Riki has mentioned that one of his favorite choreographers is Riehata so he has done a lot of covers of her choreography. His “Come Around Me” dance cover was choreo she did. Riki Nishimura is just amazing!
Your reviews are great! I like that you actually break things down instead of a lot of reaction videos where they just say “wow, that was a cool part” over and over. Yours are very insightful and show your professionalism. I appreciate you doing Enhypen! They are my favorite Kpop group. I like Straykids, BTS, SVT, and NCT 127 too, but Enhypen just is so hardworking and humble. I can’t wait to see how much they grow over the years.

Yes, they are vampires hehehe. If you check their debut song "Given-taken" you're going to understand more their story and narrative.
The other two members who appear at the beginning with the werewolves silhouettes are not from Enhypen but they were part of I-LAND (the survival show HYBE did for their new male group). I'm pretty sure the new group is going to debut soon (but it will be Japan based) and I guess HYBE is doing this 2 different group concepts between vampires/werewolf to connect their two universes somehow.

Yes, I love this part too. And with Sunghoon being center, it's really perfect. Sunghoon with his good body proportion, make this move look strong but elegant.
I love the complex choreography. Their transitions are so smooth, one step flowing into another...even when moves are jagged. The symbolism in the movements...And the level changes! So much to take in.
I like Sunghoon's solo dance under red water rain. Sunghoon was figure skating athlete. Contemporary dance is his speciality.

Since their debut, they have that vampire concept. See 'Given-Taken'. However, we're still not sure if they're really 'vampire vampires' or it's some metaphorical shit that we still don't understand yet.
Yeah, Enhypen have been doing a vampire concept since they debuted. The two werewolves in the beginning are 2 boys that were also in the competition show I-Land and will be debuting in another group under Hybe. As for the woman they were looking up to, most fans are assuming that is their queen or matriarch
Their shoe stomping all synchronized is just super satisfying to listen to, how it matches either the beat, melody, or just a random pattern that fits in the beat and melody
And the second half of the chorus, where they slowly danced with their palm in front of their face, even tho it's slowly danced contrasting the jumpy pop beat, it's still fits cause it aims on the melody and not the beat, the melody "daze, daze, daze" is also slow

WOMAN ON TORCH SCULPTURE
That is SELENA. In Greek mythology she married Ambrogio, the first Vampire. Because Selena was Artemis's maid in Artemis temple in Ephesus, Selena had to be virgin in her lifetime and couldn't had children with Ambrogio. Artemis was "The Moon Goddess" in Greek mythology.
As a Vampire, Ambrogio never aged and was immortal. But Selena got older through the time and would die of course. When Selena was dying, Artemis gave permittion to Ambrogio drink Selena's blood.
After dead, Artemis turned Selena to be a goddess: "The Moonlight Goddess". That means, with "the light" Selena could find her way back to go to Earth. Then Selena could have children with Ambrogio on Earth. Since Ambrogio had drunk her blood, Selena had become a Vampire. Her children were Vampires as well.
ENHYPEN'S SUPER POWER
* Why do they have super power? Is it because they are Vampires? Maybe. And Enhypen members are worshipers of SELENA.
* Or, because they are children of SELENA? Maybe.
Man with super power is usually a son of a God, Herakles for instance. He has super power because he is a son of Zeus God and Alkmene (a human).
Artemis had made Selena a Goddess, so Selena has supranatural power. As a Goddess, all her children inherited super power too. That's why Enhypen members in the MV show their superpowers. Jake and Sunghoon control fire. Jake can light the candles on birthday cake. Sunghoon had fire in his hand on "Given Taken" song. Heeseung has telepathy ( he touches his forehead to call Jay). Jungwon can teleport. He suddenly comes up in front of the birthday cake. Niki also moves quickly from one side to other sides, in front of Sunoo's room
DREAMING BLOOD (RAIN)
Sunghoon had a dream, doing solo dance under red-water rain. Seeing blood in dreaming, it means there will be a danger. There are werewolves who are going to endanger their lives (two werewolves in bus halte).
SELENE POURS BLOOD FROM A CUP
Vampires get stronger after drinking blood from other older Vampires. Selena pours her blood to give more power to the Vampires, in order to be stronger to fight the werewolves.
SUNOO POURS HIS BLOOD INTO FOUNTAIN
In his room, Sunoo bites his wrist and blend his blood in water in a glass. He brings the glass and pour the red water into fountain. The water of fountain then turns into blood.
* Whom is this blood fountain for? For Vampire to drink, maybe.
* Why Sunoo did the similar like Selena?
Some people have theory that Sunoo is the oldest Vampire among them. So Sunoo gives his blood to give more power to others.
Or, maybe he is the reincarnation of Selena? That's unknown, still mystery. Since beginning, in "Given Taken" era, Sunoo has been the most mysterious character.

Many things in Enha's MV you will only understand deeply if you know their Vampire lore. They have this webtoon Dark Moon: The Blood Altar that brings all the essence of the group like 7 vampires that will involve you 😌
Storyline is something along the lines of they got dragged to hell and were given the gift of immortality, and one of the members made people at the party vampires like them which I think was meant as Engenes (the fans)

All the title tracks and mvs they've put out so far are in their first 2 albums which belong to their border series. This series of albums basically talk about their transformation from humans to vampires. A metaphor for their transformation from trainees to artists

Enhypen are vampires and the first two guys with Werewolf shadows you saw at the beginning were members of the same survival show that formed Enhypen and those guys are gonna debut in a new group of HYBE Japan.

They’re vampires, the werewolves are from another group related to them. If you check Given-Taken, which was their first song, you’ll see it clearly. It’s a great song and dance, you should check it out.

Yes it's ware wolf and vampire, Sunoo is the only vampire, he made niki as a vampire and only sunoo know it. Sunoo was the first one to be a vampire.

Yeonjun you reacted to aotm is from TXT. They all are main dancers and this group doesn't have any official positions because all of them are all rounders and can sing dance and rap. So the company (they are from same company as BTS) couldn't fix any positions because they ace every aspect of being an kpop idol

TXT choreo is considered as the most difficult choreo in kpop. The technique and details is just mind blowing. They are just insane. If you think Enhypen is cool and you like them, you will definitely love TXT.
