Something I learned from Tao former member of exo dancing and singing is just a prerequisite it’s not the only thing you need to be in the industry Sunoo is the embodiment of what happens to good people. If singing and dancing good was all that was required every solo and group would be successful and at the top but it not when a person is genuine and pure that stand out more they can always improve in other ways. Claps to sunoo. Learn from BTS they’re extremely talented but that’s not the only reason they are loved by millions it’s the genuineness and their ability to be real that stands out more than anything ask any army why they are in the fandom you’ll see

istg ni-ki is the only one who really took the voting seriously. he's friend with taki but he also knew that he lacks. i also really like taki but when he stated his reason, i understand him. that's brave of him.

Honestly, Ni-ki was probably one of the only ones who was able to put his personal feelings aside and be objective. The amount of shit that boy got during this era was actually horrible.

I guess people who don't know Ni-Ki's dancing background, might think that Ni-Ki was just another young trainee who didn't know better, but voting his buddy out. I also found out, only after the show finished that Ni-Ki is actually the most senior dancer who had been trained by some of the most famous choregraphers. His judgment is very much professional and helpful also for Taki, giving Taki a better learning environment at the ground. The grounders r very supportive with each other, it is different atmosphere with the high competitive i-land place. Why Msnake showed only EJ & Ni-Ki's voting results, so bias editing, they dont show the vote results of all trainees.

I used to hate part 1 of I-land when they sometimes had to vote because of seniority or some managed to make most friends or when they get influenced by others. I understand that they’re young but it’s very unfair and frustrating. But now I kinda appreciate it coz it shows their personalities, genuineness, perseverance, sportsmanship and of course pure talent.

I also think it helps in removing any doubt that the show was rigged for part 1. Like the boys made all those choices for who goes in by themselves without any interference from the producers and then the global fans voted the other six into part 2 which was only influenced by mnets editing but still.

Ni-ki among all of them, is so amazing back in i-land. He was just 14 but he's way of thinking is so mature. He voted taki out despite being friends with him because he knows he still needs to improve he knows that will be the best for him and taki understood that. I admire their friendship so much.

That edit of Ni-Ki at the end is traumatic for him. Because of that, he received so many hate which he did not deserve because Ni-Ki and Ta-Ki talked about Ni-Ki voting him out and he's not betraying his friend.

@@Rose-lb9hd You do if you want your friend to improve so he can become better, even if he didn't go to the ground then, he probably would be after the first test. His skills were just not as good as the others, Ni-ki just voted fairly like he should. Cause almost everyone decided to let their friends stay, while they were not great in a performance and voted people out that were actually doing great. Look at Sunoo during the fire test, he was in the top 6, but he still got voted out because the rest didn't want their friends to go, that's just unfair. Ni-ki did the right thing.

@@Rose-lb9hd funny that people have double standarts, people were mad at seon for being there just because his friendship with other trainees and not because of his skills, but wanted taki to be there because of his friendship and not his skills. Ni-Ki was super mature to be able to do that, because he knew his friend wasnt on the same level at the others trainees yet. Taki was super young and didn't have a lot of years in training. Ni-ki always kept supporting taki in iland and helped him many times with his dance. Taki wasn't ready for debut. Now he has been training more and will debut soon.

ni-ki being one of the youngest yet the only rational person while voting. that's the first step or basic step you may say to prevent corruption and nepotism. he's being relevant here but back then ppl hated him for voting his friend out. let's be honest this is what favouritism is. choosing connections over reality. ni-ki was so matured back then and I'm proud of this boy

Ni-Ki show professionalism and true friendship in voting. He's professional to be objective on voting and true enough to want his friend improve more. I think if Ni-ki didn't vote Taki, he'll be more devastated if he was voted after the 1st challenge
I remember when people started hating on Ni-Ki after he voted for Ta-Ki , I know that Ta-Ki is his friend but at the end of the day they are just on a survival program where you’re gonna end up together in the debut group or just gonna get eliminated, he voted for Ta-Ki cuz he knew that Ta-Ki has a lot to learn yet and he couldn’t be unfair to those who were better than Ta-Ki , it’s not like he just choose Ta-Ki alone ; they were told to pick 4 people, so I don’t think he’s is being a villain , he’s just being realistic , rather than being emotional. Also , in one of the behind the scenes… he already told Ta-Ki that he would pick him ; cuz Ni-Ki wanted him to come back stronger after going to the GROUND.
I want you to be careful while watching this show, in the coming episode too… Ni-Ki has been edited in an EVIL way … the broadcast company *MNET* has always been known for *EVIL editing* (In all of their reality/survival shows)

I can't believe I'm re-watching this with Sebastine 😅 As a Heeseung-biased eggie/engene, episode 2 was very painful to watch 😩. This show just painted Ni-Ki as the villain, which is really not true.
Ikr. Ni-ki and Heeseung obviously get well together, when they got in ILAND they pretty much stick together but I just found it odd that I have to watch again and again to see it.
Mnet did both Ni-ki and Heeseung bad editing.
Ni-ki got evil edited and Heeseung got unnecessary edits which only shows most of his good sides which is obviously not needed because if they edit it all out Heeseung will remain the same good and talented person he is.
The editing made the both receive hates.
I'm happy Ni-ki antis has gotten small and was drowned by supporters.
But Heeseung still get a lot of hates.
Even some fans doesn't mention him on vids which literally about him and some members, they would talk about the other members and skip him just because there are people who supports him making me wanna puke on their OT6 Stan faces. 😔
I have to be honest with you. At the beginning, i was sad that Niki voted Taki but now i understand his point.
For those who are saying that Niki is selfish, stupid or a traitor, no he is not!
He voted Taki bcuz niki knew that this survival show could be to much for him and of course, if he thought in this way means that he knows taki more than anyone. Also, he wanted the best for taki so that he could improve his skills.
You know something? Its so rare nowadays find 14-15 years old kids who are mature as him and that amazes me 4real!
This is my opinion 🖤 i know this Niki's situation is very neutral but it would be much better if we could respect everybody's opinion.

I understand why Niki did what he did. Like it hurts as the friend but you also gotta be honest with your friends and not enable them. Taki just was not on the same level as the others. Niki saw that and was worried about him that’s why he told him he needed to go to ground and improve. I felt bad for Niki the whole time. He was really shown in a poor light but people forgot that he was only 14 during this time and the boy is very much a perfectionist and he was in a high stress environment. Plus from what I’ve seen of him after Il-land he’s also introverted. Your not always going to get the best picture of someone if you don’t take the time to look and get to know them.
Fun fact: In international age, during the filming of I-land, Daniel (the youngest trainee there) was actually 14
Also idk if you know this but Chu Jimin and Geonu actually went on after the show and debuted together in a group called Just B. You should react to them sometime! But be prepared for this cuz I-land leaves you emotionally scarred 😭

No matter how many times i watch I-LAND it still gives me the same level of stress from the first time. But luckily all my favs got to debut.
I-land Part1 is a great wound and scar for Sunoo stan and Ni-ki stan
the way mnet evilly edited ni-ki, but he was the only one that was actually thinking strategically. these were people that he was going to debut with. you’d only want the best of the best on your team.

I'd like to pinpoint a fact that Ni-Ki scored pretty well when he was the center, he thought it was his fault that 6 members had to go & he got voted out unfairly ;(. Because even Ni-Ki got full 100 score or any other member replacing him to be center, check the average score, they still will be in the range of 6 members out, because it isn't only 1 person has to score high, majority has to reach above 70, while so many trainees r below 70. Whoever is center, will not matter, when so many didn't meet the minimum score of 70.
Niki trained with taki the longest so he knew what his true level was and we could see why he voted him out later as Taki's progress was very slow

Seon was so strategic, even tho he wasnt as great as the others despite being 4years training. I never liked him cus he started to control the others in iland and discriminating against the grounders
So true and when it was his time to go to the ground with other people they all had someone in the ground to Hug but he had no one I felt bad for him in that ep. He knew he was not improving so he got close with people so he would not get sent to the ground 😃

Honestly I don’t blame Ni-ki for voting taki, in the end you have to vote for who you think isn’t as good as the other competitors. He did not deserve all the hate when this episode aired :( he was only 16 too.
I watched this show live. It was truly emotional and stressful. I danced with them, cried with them and I yelled at the TV a lot. I have looked at this show 3 times since the group was chosen because I had to in order to accept one final member. I am enjoying your reaction. It is making me feel like I am in a room, with a friend, seeing this for the first time!! I hope you will continue to react to this program. It is a roller coaster ride!

lmaooo geonu didn't vote for heeseung cuz he felt threatened. heeseung's was definitely one of the best, and most stable. later in the show though, he only had praises for heeseung.

If you didn't know, 4 of the people that were in I-Land (EJ, Nicholas, Taki and K) debuted in another boy group called &Team (consisting of 9 members) under Hybe Labels Japan. There's a show about it on TH-cam called &Audition, I haven't really watched it but that's where the other 5 members (Fuma, Yuma, Maki, Harua and Jo) came from.❤
lmao dont get ni-ki wrong he was ta-ki's good friend but a competition is a competition. He knew ta-ki was good but the level of competition was so high he had to choose one thing...he did well and chose to compete...but hey...something good happens afterwards at the end of pt1 of i-land...wont spoil tho...so✌️

I always thought of this when I first saw the show when it was aring, When they voted I feel like some people felt obligated to vote for the participants because they either felt bad or "if he's rasing his hand I will too" but at the same time even if they got in, they would of gotten eliminated in later rounds. overall I'm greatful for the outcome as I can't see enhypen without sunoo, junwon, sunghoon, jake, niki, jay and heeseung

I honestly felt like Niki betrayed Taki when he voted him out at first but after watching a few episodes, I got to understand his reasons. Although I love Taki so much, compared to the other Ilanders, he still needs to improve himself. We just have to keep in mind that ILAND is a competition. Anyways, I love all ILANDers and GROUNDers except Seon. I honestly think that based on his abilities, he doesn't deserve to be in the ILAND for the whole series

Min Namgoong is a top tier actor. Should watch some of his dramas. I love him T-T (as good guy, villain or whatever).

To be honest when I watched the preview of the second episode and the second episode I was so mad at ni-ki and overall he wasn't my favourite while watching I-land but I think they did him dirty because he mainly wanted his friend to get better and was often portrayed as selfish or self centred, and as viewers we never got the full story of what happened. Just wanted to express that right now after watching enhypens content I can see that ni-ki is a genuinely nice and hardworking person who often looks after his member and teammates and he doesn't deserves all the hate he receives daily. Enhypen is such a hardworking group that has gone through a lot and I hope we all can support them as a whole. If you read all this thanks hihihihihihi. :)
Honestly ILAND Part 1 was so stressful to watch! It was cut throat. Part 2 is better for the heart lol
Ni-ki is just a child like Taki but he made a mature decision to eliminate him, he knew that Taki was missing and because he also knew that later it would be worse for him, do not think that Ni-ki or any of the participants is bad or cold at some point because the bad editing of mnet always makes believe that and hides what really happens, it's a classic mnet trick.
even after watching i-land over 3 times i still get emotional EVERY time i watch it,, the editing was pure evil the way it toyed with my emotions

it's funny cause it takes me literal weeks or even MONTHS to finish a show on netflix but i can watch the whole i-land in 2 days. i have watched it 3 times by now and it brings me so much comfort every time (and pain lol)

the only reason why Ni-ki voted for Ta-ki is that he can grow and improve in his dancing. In this way he believed that it was best for Ta-ki and it was! he came back stronger and better bc of it. A lot still disagree and even hate hate Ni-ki for what he did.
tbh i was so sad when ni-ki eliminated taki out but like i think he did the right thing so taki can practice more and become better at everything and become an artist asap !

the strategy of their first voting system was more about mind-play than anything else. if it had been created to weed out, all of the performances would have been gone through and then voted on, setting standards for each unit. a big part of performance is its first effect, which is why i think voting immediately afterward was effective, but it also means you can vote in(for lack of better words)unqualified participants. the beautiful thing is that they've all been seen once, they can improve and come back to wow the world like they all have the ability to do. they're all incredibly talented, however i think this beginning system had its flaws. and its unfortunate that they were all brought onto the show thinking they would have a competition to participate in and a space in which to prove themselves, only to be eliminated after one showcase of what they could do. first impressions are important but i think that was a little too much to ask to be completely honest. this way, they had to eliminate promising and deserving trainees just to be able to see everyone else, which is a massive risk among entertainment.

I reacted the same way to the opening too. I was not expecting all the backstage awesome that was happening in the i-land and it made me want to watch it more since they showed the WANT to make their trainees idols.

I feel like Hanbin could have definitely gotten in but the parts he got just didn't suit him. He got the rap part but you could tell it wasn't his strong suit. He was also good at dancing but it's just that he got overshadowed by Ni-Ki and Nicholas. Everyone has their strong points and I just don't think his were emphasized very well.
i watched i-land for the first time with my partner. i've been wanting to rewatch i-land and didn't want to do it alone, so i am so glad you're reacting to it!!
I really didn't intend to watch this whole thing because iland legit stressed me tf out and I've already watched it twice but it's different to watch it through the eyes of someone else who hasn't seen it and get someone else's perspective. I really hated the way that they edited this and made some people seem shady or mean, I even almost fell for it myself later on with K and it's just messed up how some of the boys were almost set up. Like even here you can see NI-KI was so happy when Taki got in and was the first one to vote for Taki. And from the start even the panel said Taki needed to improve. It may have seemed harsh later on when he votes him out but it wasn't out of malice at all, which is hard to see at first because it was unexpected. I feel like iland is one of those shows you need to watch at least twice to grasp what really happened and what was dramatized. I feel like they even tried to make seem Jay mean at first with that whole Heeseung thing but it never worked because Jay isn't even like that and was honestly the most genuine person on the show imo. I feel like they had to go a different route after seeing who Jay really was and sadly they made a lot of what he did into a joke, which unfortunately he still deals with today. It's sad though because I feel like because of this show I grew so close to Enhypen but I know a lot of the members don't like to talk about it or want new fans to watch it. Definitely just take everything you see with a grain of salt, I mean it's crazy how stressful it was just watching the show so I can only imagine being on it and being watched all the time. I don't think anyone can be perfect 24/7 and while being in a competition so I know I'm in no place to judge them ESPECIALLY with how young I realized most of them were later on. On a lighter note lol, I was just laughing like crazy at Jungwon's "pokemon" 😆 I still need him to do a full cover one day
