I know you said you were considering doing a video about red card not being good with hypergeo explanations about why it's a mathematically flawed, but it might also be funny to just have a highlight day that's all matches of red card improving your hand.
I'm not even sure you need hypergeo to explain it? Shuffle your hand in and draw 3 would be a busted card. It's professor's research and a half, and you only lose the cards you can't play. And red card plays it for your opponent.
I think the main reason Red Card isn’t good (yet, maybe) is that there aren’t enough mechanisms to get information about whether your opponent’s hand is good or not. The fact that players have no option to mulligan specific cards in their hand (as is the case in Hearthstone, for instance) is one example of this. If this were an option, and your opponent kept every one of their cards in the mulligan phase, that would be a clear indicator that Red Carding them would be desirable. If more cards are released that either 1) enable you to see/infer cards in your opponent’s hand, or 2) enable you to manipulate your own hand more directly (which lets your opponent see that you’re improving your hand), I think Red Card might become more viable as a disruption mechanism.
@@HooglandiaPocket There are some good red card disruption moments. But they are few and far in-between. Not enough to make me ever really run a red card in the deck.
fyi jeff/editor the outro still references the upcoming release of the game. i know yall are super busy this week and probably just havent had time to record a new outro yet, but wanted bring it up just in case. sweet deck! i think grass is going to prove to be a strong type long term. exeggutor is one of the best cards to open on if you go first, the type access to sleep/poison and victreebell has the only targeted swap in the game (i think?). the healing from erika, venusaur, and butterfree will also be very powerful if the meta ever moves away from 1 shot decks like mewtwo and charizard.
Its sort of the issue with even these “budget” decks. I think it is pretty unlikely that most players just starting with have 2 full copies of both stage 1 and stage 2 pokemon. And packs points on stage 2’s are pretty tough for the moment at least. Curious if others are more like me where I have one full evolution but getting a second is just very unlikely so you have to fill out the list with other pokemon combos. Easily enough done I think, but it makes these kids of videos not very useful right now. Having a good time with the game though and the lack of ranked mode is a huge boon to not feeling forced to have any particular deck.
I've been playing Vileplume for a bit now and I love her. She's stage 2 Wiggly but she's only one prize. She also has the upside of healing a ton. If I get her online, I rarely lose.
Vileplume is my favorite Pokemon and this is the deck I’ve been trying to build since I started a week ago during soft launch… and I still have yet to pull a single Vileplume. I’ll probably just spend pack points for it at this point 😅
Love vileplume. The full sleep hax wigglytuff vileplume deck is cheese but needs the new fossil tech to become next level. Can run fossil in any deck to protect from sabrina and keeps basics low
I'm playing with vileplume to right now, but with meowth replacing farfetchd. I need draw power becaus i only have 1 gloom and 1 vileplume. But luckily i got exxegutor ex to become meat shield
Do you have any recommendations for an alakazam deck. I have only pulled from charizard pack so dont have koga, weezing etc but i pulled two of the rare full art alakazam and want to use it
I was running a deck like this with Victreebell line instead of Vileplume. Does Victreebell stack up? I know they have different affects they leverage.
@ I was liking it at first but I realize it is probably better bs the AI than humans as AI will still set basics that can get one-shot after Victreebell is active. Human players probably don’t make this mistake consistently making it weaker.
I need an artwork of Ducks just clobbering Mewtwo with their leeks. Will never get old
Watching these games, I am really impressed by the game balance between EX Pokemon and the regular (1 Prize) Pokemon.

The card is seeing a ton of play. People actively think it is good. It's truly strange.

I love the full art gloom so I’ve been looking for a vileplume deck, thanks for showcasing this!
Loving the content, Jeff. I appreciate the TCG experience you bring to the community with your videos.
Loving the pigeot control deck with Arbok. So much fun! Thanks for your vids!

I actually ran a near identical deck last night ironically. Vileplume is one of my favorites. Made quick easy work of Mewtwo
so cool to see some off meta decks all i play against is mewtwo your greninja deck is so fun
Hell yes. Been waiting for content just playing.
Here I am. With my two full art Glooms. And my Full art Erika. And my 0 Vileplumes.

I was exactly you until yesterday when I finally got my second Vileplume. It's been really fun! Hope you get Vileplume soon

17:55 holy shit I agree 😂
I feel Kangaskan is a better starter than Farfetchd in most decks, the bulk makes the difference in setting up.

Just a hint the outro isnt adjusted for release in this on
Love your videos on Marvel Snap and now Pokemon✌️On a different note, why are you always shouting when streaming? 😂
pulled a god pack inside of a charizard 10 pull. Im freaking pumped!
Is the deck better with Execcutor EX instead of regular Execcutor ?
I really want to get Vileplume but I have no luck so far :/
I don't think so.
where can you look up if you have most cards of one Booster pack (charizard for instance), so you can choose the other one
The offering rates are listed in client, but community sites like untapped.gg also have them

Check out his best budget decks roundup from a day or two ago. There is an Alakazam deck featured.

Wait wait wait wait....can exceggutor land heads? :v
I was running a deck like this with Victreebell line instead of Vileplume. Does Victreebell stack up? I know they have different affects they leverage.
I think Victreebell is pretty mediocre. Only grabbing basics and needing to be active are both big drawbacks on top of 60 not being much damage.
@ I was liking it at first but I realize it is probably better bs the AI than humans as AI will still set basics that can get one-shot after Victreebell is active. Human players probably don’t make this mistake consistently making it weaker.
Bruh this HUD i cant bro
Sleep is such a strong mechanic, hope to open some Vileplume's soon to play the deck.
