I think you missed the point of Kaz’s progression as topdog. She tried sticking to her morals, and lost control of the women because of it, she couldn’t stop the violence by doing nothing so she had to change. Eventually she realised that.
She was a shit top dog. not physically tough on her own and other prisoners should have the right to defend themselves without fear of being punished by the top dog for it
I kind of like Kaz but she is very wishy-washy. She is all over the place with her actions, beliefs, ethics. One minute it's all about violence, next minute um, no violence. Make your mind up, lady, I would like to know if I need to worry about my hand going through a sewing machine or if she is on one of her "ABSOLUTELY NO VIOLENCE AGAINST THE WOMEN!" days!
Personally I do think that Kaz was a bit over the top when this went down. But as the series continued, She got softer. I began to like her..Now she had her throat slit Allie is top dog, She’s an alright top dog but I feel like she’s a bit too soft. Kaz was a good character.
I have a feeling we haven't seen nothing yet. I think this season is gonna be awesome. And ppl should get over Beas death. It's been 2 years. I miss her too. RIP Bea Smith. Danielle Cormack did an awesomely job on the first 4 seasons. Gone but not forgotten.
It's weird realising she was only in it for less than half of total seasons.. The saddest part imo was that Bea & Allie were broken up quickly & that Bea stabbed herself mainly cuz she thought Allie had died, which eventually didn't happen. Also the Dutch variant of this series "celblok H", which I think is even better, it's almost an exact copy, stops after season 4 when the Bea character dies.. I've watched both a few times already tho i might still just wathc the first seasons of wentworth itself :) but the personality types of the Dutch remake are even better it's crazy.

Things were spiralling out of control because the women were doing things and weren't being punished, so in order to keep top dog kaz had to introduce violence.
i like kaz. even though kaz was very angry that Bea got kaz put in prison. Kaz never hurt Bea or was mean to her, not from what i remember. I don't know why all of you hate Kaz. I understand why Kaz doesn't want violance and i agree. Prisons shouldn't have any violance. If you was in a real prison, would you want to see violance and be scared all the time that something bad might happen to you? Or would you be the one hurting others? but I get it, its a tv show and some people like watching the actors in the show getting their heads bashed in. I still haven't been able to watch season 6 yet so i don't know who Rita and the new ones are yet, but i will always miss Bea, Franky, and Gidget forever.

The only purpose of kaz’s character was to be involved with Bea as she admired her and so that Ferguson could use her and manipulate her but once that was over they did struggle abit with her character, but she ended up being a great top dog!
