It’s funny how we Salvadorans, don’t know about places like this. I’m leaning from a tourist, I’ll definitely going to check it out next time I go back to my homeland.
Thank you for shedding light on what Starbucks does with the coffee they buy , I will no longer buy coffee there . Also thank you for showing the beautiful coffe farm and explaining about the Arabica style coffee of El Salvador . Very sad to learn that some of the workers earn only $ 10.00 a day . As you said , it is " tough ass work " , my ppl deserve so much more , no, I cannot imagine earning minimum wage for such hard work. The workers are such honorable people , I deeply admire their courage. Government needs to change the minimum wages, how do ppl survive ? Thanks again for the video.
True! I wouldn't be happy to do that job, but it's better than nothing. Any business will pay minimum wage for a minimum wage job i.e. As an employee one can up-skill and make oneself harder to replace and a company will pay one such employee more. Or anyone can start their own business and be their own boss.

I have bought Cafe Ataco at Despensa de Don Juan (grocery store) in Santa Ana at about $7/lb and the quality is very good... I buy it all the time when I go there.
Great video, I'm from El Salvador and when I was a kid I used to harvest coffee cherries.. skin is kind of sweet when they are ripe(ready to be harvest).. and yes all had to be done by hand Thank you for the video
Thanks for sharing your story and it's unbelievable that someone still hasn't invented a machine to plug the coffee beans of the smaller trees like in El Salvador
It’s messed up how Starbucks doesn’t even recognize the Salvadoran coffee yet their coffee is super expensive meanwhile workers here busting their arses for $10
Starbucks Coffee is really bitter. You can only enjoy it mixed with a lot syrup, ice, whip cream. Their straight coffee is nasty. A real good coffee is not bitter it is smooth and creamy

That's why there's so much disparity between the rich and the poor in ES. It's heartbreaking that the actual workers, the ones who keep production going only earn $10.00 a day. Ridiculous
It’s crazy how little money this workers get paid for the amount of work they do, and so insane how the prices for regular basic household items are price as if people earn money like if they were in the United States
I definitely will have some new sights to see, looks like a really interesting tour. I always grew up with Tim Hortons coffee, I wonder if they also get their beans from here.
They do buy a portion of their beans from this place, just like Starbucks, Tim Hortons buy from all over the world and do their roasting themselves. It well worth it to go see a coffee farm
Interesting video! Thank you for pointing out the hard labor and low pay for these workers. Unfortunately, given the low cost of labor it doesn't seem there is much incentive to modernize the process. Nonetheless it's definitely interesting seeing the process.
El Salvador is one of the best coffee providers in the world. It's so interesting to see the farm and coffee production.
For sure! Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had 😋
You right
Was intil the 80s

Hi , I think they raised the minimum wages now,and we have a new President and pretty soon things will be better for the population I am sure.

At the beginning of the 1900’s ES was the 5th largest producer of coffee, and it paid for the National Theater and Cathedral in Santa Ana.
Interesting I didn’t know that. The coffee is for sure very tasty 😋
Like chocolate was one time for the Spaniard when they discovered the cocoa plant
You found the Starbucks gold mine 🤯
I tasty one😋☕️
Thanks for showing the process of the coffee, it brouht me memories when I did all that as a kid.
Thanks for watching
It's so interesting to see it from another point of view. I haven never been to a farm but it's great to see! I'm a coffee lover!

Hi,
I was in that same place with my fiancée in 2017
I really enjoyed your video, I was transported back to 2017 😊
Nothing has changed.
Greeting !
Oh wow! I'm glad you enjoyed it
I want to go there, where is it in Salvador and what is the name of this place?
I'm glad that you went to my country.
So am I 😁

E aprendido mucho de El Salvador contigo, a pesar que nací allá.
Besos y abrazos.
Gracias me encanta que te gusta los videos 😊

I never go to starbuks here in California
I like that 💪🏼
Starbucks Coffee is really bitter.

Starbucks over roasts all their beans the same so it’s a consistent taste. Definitely bitter and not enjoyable when it’s straight.

This is why Bitcoin. Bukele understands this
Love it brother!!
Thanks man!
The tour guide might make $10 per day but laborers make less
Very cool 😎
Cheers 😁
Cool vids bro
Thanks 🙏
Starbucks should ask them to pay more to the workers because they pay really low versus how much ppl actually pay for the coffee here in 🇺🇸

Cheap pay, can't survive with or growth with 10 dollars a day, hope the president do something about it soon
He's moving things in the right direction at least
Rip off Starbucks
