There’s a reason dogs are known as man’s best friend as they reward your love and care with loyalty and companionship as they are part of your pack. It’s hard particularly on children who have lived all their life with that animal. 💕👍

Love all your babies, but Ash holds a special place in my heart. We're both elderly and enjoy the outdoors. Living in the woods and mountains of western NC, I raised 8 small dogs and 3 cats. Over the years, they began to pass from old age. A lot of deaths. Now I'm left with none, but at 75, I don't want to bring another into my family. I love yours from afar. It seems each stage of life has surprises and challenges, I'm 75 too, and was always blessed to share life with "good ole dawgs". All alone now, and sadly agree it's just not fair to adopt a young dog. (although have considered adopting a senior dog, many are surrendered to shelters simply because they are old)

So sorry to hear about Ash... December will mark 3 years since losing my first 4 legged hiking buddy. He was such an intelligent and beautiful dog and an excellent hiker. At least she'll be able to spend her days in peace with a caring family who lets her get plenty of outdoors time. Hopefully she's around for a while yet and ultimately doesn't suffer. Good luck and well wishes for her.

Hi mate, sorry to hear about your dogs problem. People ask me why i don't have a dog given the outdoor activities I do. I had a dog called spike from age 5 till i was about 21. We had to put him down and it crushed me, i miss him to this day, so i just couldn't bear it again. Ash is still here so I'm sure you'll enjoy every moment together and really it's looking at all the great adventures you've had together and you've captured it all on film to. Best of luck. Chris

Thanks. Ash has since past but we did have the chance to love on her which you are correct it was a gift that we will cherish in our memories of a wonderful dog and the wonderful 12 years she gave us.

So sorry to hear about Ash... December will mark 3 years since losing my first 4 legged hiking buddy. He was such an intelligent and beautiful dog and an excellent hiker. At least she'll be able to spend her days in peace with a caring family who lets her get plenty of outdoors time. Hopefully she's around for a while yet and ultimately doesn't suffer. Good luck and well wishes for her.

People ask me why i don't have a dog given the outdoor activities I do.
I had a dog called spike from age 5 till i was about 21.
We had to put him down and it crushed me, i miss him to this day, so i just couldn't bear it again.
Ash is still here so I'm sure you'll enjoy every moment together and really it's looking at all the great adventures you've had together and you've captured it all on film to. Best of luck. Chris
