They should have included Solvang, California. It is known for it's Danish architecture. It was settled by Danish immigrants and there is a lot of Danish foods. It's very quaint and beautiful.
My family is from Reedville, VA which is not to far from Tangier Island. We took a boat there one time to see it before it sinks. A lot of that area is being eroded by the ocean though. It's happening in Reedville too. There was a beach when i was little that was super close to my grandmothers house. We use to go their all the time. Years later i visited my grandmother and she took me back to the beach to show me out was gone. A lot of the homes have to build sea walls. If they dont their house will be gone soon. It's wild how the ocean is just eating that area up
I know Beaufort, NC well, lived 10 minutes away for 25 years. Fantastic seafood with waterfront restaurants that have their own fishing boats and seafood markets. Go to eat at them in the afternoon and you can watch the boats come in from the days fishing, bringing your dinner. There are well kept homes built in the 1700’s still occupied along the waterfront. Cannons & other artifacts from Blackbeards (Edward Teach) pirate ship along with parts of the ship itself have been discovered, recovered and are on display. The history of the region goes back to the very first settlements in the US. English Governor Tryon ruled the area for King George III from his palace in nearby New Bern, NC, which still stands and can be toured. Many streets and roads in this rural area were originally named after the first families and have descendents by the same names still living on them. I have a friend whose family are covered in history books in the local libraries. Great fun, great history and during the August thru November time frame, some of the best seafood on the planet.
Daz is thinking of New Hope, Pennsylvania. And I agree about Solvang in Southern California-the most unique town I’ve ever seen in the U.S. and I’ve been to every state.
Shoulda came here to East Tennessee. Best place in the country and if you could get tickets to see the Vols play… icing on the cake. We’re making a playoff run this year.
Wow ! I did not know they had a statue of Elizabeth Montgomery ( aka Samantha Stephens on the TV show Bewitched...aka nozy neighbor Gladys Kravitz who was mentioned in the video...she was fun to watch on the show. Always spying on the Stephen family )
I don't live that far from Point Pleasant, and it's a cute little town with some weird history. Checked out the museum. Drive 20 minutes down the road to Hillbilly Hotdogs, which is a unique eatery. Very good food
Daz, would any of these be on your list: Bumpass (BUMP-us) Fries, VA Assurance Big Ugly Booger Hole Lick Fork Looneyville Man Scrabble, WV Another place in AZ with an 'oddball' name, and an even odder pronunciation: Mazatzal = MAT-uh-zell, which is the name for a mtn. range, a wilderness area, and a casino.
I went to high school in Sevierville so Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg was nothing but opportunities for summer jobs and meeting tourist girls instead of being strange lol. If you live outside in places like Kodak housing prices are also lower.
Why does Aidan suddenly look like he’s aged 10 years? That’s not an insult … just an observation that our lad seems to have grown up overnight 😎! I saw that y’all are coming over for a college football game! Big fun … tho you’re cheating yourselves by choosing a Big 10 game instead of an SEC game 😜 … but have an amazing time 🏈!
These videos make me glad I live in NY where the average home price is $155k. Pigeon Forge is a nightmare to be in. It takes FOREVER to get through there, HOURS at 2mph.
All Tangier Island needs is US Government official recognition as a Natural Treasure Recognition location. Especially with its British ties of its American population there still speaking a twang of British that even Americans would find worthy of preserving. The Great Pond Atlantic Ocean could not sink the Phonetics between Americans and British there. Perhaps it ought be preserved before sinking into the sand...
Daz, what do you guys usually pay for a round trip ticket from Manchester to the East Coast of the US? I assume you're flying into either JFK or Newark.
I find the narrator too negative and too glib. He really has an odd take on the towns he picked. First, Leavenworth is gorgeous, not weird. I think he’s trying to be funny, but it comes across as creepy. Most of his videos are similar.

I just went there. I live in the Bay Area. So it wasn’t too far
I just want to say I love the Brits, and I love it when you guys come to visit America. We welcome you with open arms.
Well said!
I've been to Salem during Halloween. It's crazy how many ppl are there
Helen, Georgia is a little Bavarian style town in Georgia. Plus, beautiful waterfalls nearby.
Also Frankenmuth Michigan.
I've been there. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned.

4:35😂, look at Daz giving a quick side glance at " beer tasting rooms" to see if the Family noticed his split-second reconsideration of Jerome.

Im surprised Mackinac island just offshore of mainland Michigan wasn't on this list, where cars are banned and resident get around on bikes.
Ready for snow Daz. Coming in November
Dress warm and bring boots in the Northeast November weather. You may get snowbound

Daz you're thinking of Ocracoke Island in North Carolina
I hope you all enjoy your trip to the northeastern part of the United States in November. 🎉

My best friend was an extra in "The Truman Show" (he played a waiter). Cheers from Seaside, Florida.
What did they pay him, just curious?

Daz, you are thinking of Cape Hatteras, NC area....
New England is the best place to be during the fall
Bring you heavy winter 🧥 it going to cold in new York
I wouldn’t live in any of these places as they seem like hell on earth but even then apparently I can’t afford a house in hell on earth
Seaside was only founded in 1981? That was the year I graduated from high school

@@beverly.alford 😂 looked at a dozen areas.
@@officeblokedaz You know what we say in Central PA? Why is the sky blue? Because God is a PSU fan.
Wave when you drive by Williamsport!!
Leavenworth looks nice.

Not In NYC or Long island or anywhere close to NYC u must be deep into the state like near Albany

JFK, it varies on time of year. Usually between £400-£800
New Hope, Pennsylvania?
@@destinyreelly2974 that’s it👍🏻
when's Sofie coming back?
Not seen her for a while. She is enjoying life, no plans to come back.
