I have 3 of those heaters and they are great. I've used them for smaller tanks to raise fry, bettas, etc. The heat is very reliable and so easy to control. Love it shuts off with no water.
It’s also nice not to reach into water that could be electrified by any one of a number of products……… so agree that’s a good feature for safety reasons.
I have really been wanting to try this little Hygger Heater!! Recently I had to invest in a few heaters for my Nano tanks and I actually picked out the "cheapest" ones I could find on Amazon which was the AQQA brand. They share a similar design and setup! So far they're working beautifully and we'll have to see how they last! I'm still needing a couple of more and I thought about getting some of these and maybe even doing a comparison 👍 I like the price point on this heater, it's only a couple of dollars more than the ones I have! I also have one of the basic Hygger LED lights and I really think they're a perfect compliment to doing a Fatger Fish dirted Aquarium!! Another budget friendly @Hygger Aquarium product! It's also a great recommendation when helping beginners get a easy to use light!! I agree on the size of it, especially in a nano tank, luckily it's easy enough to hide behind the plants!! It comes down to how it works and is it safe for our fish and Aquarium critters!! Thanks for the link!! I'll definitely give them a try 🙏 Thank you so much for sharing happy happy New Year 🙏🌿🐟🐌🌿💚
I have been using the Hygger heaters in my tanks for almost two years. They work great and are out of the way, and I don't have to get in a tank to adjust temperature. I am running them in four of my tanks.
I like this heater because it shouts off automaticly while waterchanges. But i would really like a Heater like this with an external controlling wheel. So i can adjust up or down whithout seeing the display. I use my heaters behind a mattenfilter so i cant see whats on the display.
Good timing on this video. I just had to get this exact heater replaced last week, probably should have done it earlier. I bought it in March and then a few months after using every time it started to heat it would make a squealing noise, slight at first but it got real loud recently so I contacted Hygger. I asked why it would be squealing. They never answered the question but did send me a replacement which only took a few days to get. Another thing was the suction cups. When they were new I was constantly picking the heater up from the bottom of the tank but oddly enough before I replaced it they started to stay stuck. Usually with suction cups it's the opposite, who knows. I guess we'll see what happens with the new heater. I do use the larger 500 watt heater in another tank with no problems. That one has to be at least a couple years old.
Hi Sean, I purchased the 50w unit, I have been using it for about 5 months with no issues. I especially like the fact that during a water change, it automatically shut itself off when the water line went down too low. Happy New Year to you and your family, thank you from NYC.
Hi, Frank This product has a run-dry protection function, leaving the water or below the water level line to turn off the power, the heater stops heating. For safety reasons, it is best to turn off the power to the heater during your water change Wishing you a wonderful holiday
@@Hygger-Aquarium I have no complaints about this unit, and I would recommend it to one and all. I just ordered one of your full spectrum lights for a 6-gallon cube, which should arrive tomorrow. I'm hoping that this will aid in plant growth and I like the ramp-up period in this light. Hygger, nice that you are offering the 20% discount when checking out "PECKTEC", Thank you from NYC, happy 2022 to all
@@Hygger-Aquarium It's best to have the heater LOW in the aquarium so it's not an issue at all. And Frank, it's best not to do such radical water changes if you do.
I'm giving them a try. I'm afraid my current Cobalts are about to give out. Or its just the extra cold weather. Most appealing feature is the external controls. Can't wait for them to arrive.
I have been using this heater on most of my aquariums now. I LOVE the outside temperature setting and so far I've had no issues at all. The temperatures have been accurate as set too. The only other heater I have is a Cobalt that is equally as good, but much higher in price....and it can't be set outside the aquarium. One thing I'll say is that sometimes the little suckers on the back come unstuck but not too often to get to me and be an issue. I really don't depend on the tube ones anymore. Do you use other type heater on your aquariums?
Someone figured out that 3 100 watt heaters were better than 1 300 watt heater for many reasons. So this heater does have a role to play in any size aquarium
I use Hygger dual sponge filters that have the ceramic media compartments. Please let us know how long these heaters last you. Had 2 Aqueon pro heater failures after 2 years of use and looking for better more reliable heaters. What is the cord length on that heater?
I just took one apart because it was squealing when heating and since they replaced it I figured let me try to see what may be causing it. It doesn't seem to be designed to be regularly taken apart but it can be done.
Thank you!! I couldn’t figure out how to lower the heat after accidentally setting it too high 🤦♀️
I like the shape and that there's no glass on the exterior, thanks Sean 💕👍

Recently purchased this heater. I find it ultra consistent
Here after listening to you on Joey's podcast. Happy to be nerding out with this hobby again and virtually with you all.
I love these and they are reliable. I have used them a lot and they heat larger tanks as well.

I have the 50W in my 5-8 gallon betta tanks, I love them!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the heater. It seems like a decent product at this price point.
Seems nice. I would like the temp display to be on top or on the switch so if you hide it you can still tell the temp. I like the size and shape.
I have 2 of these - one in my 20g cube and one in the 16g shrimp tank. It nice it won't break if you forget to turn it off before water changes.
Great to know 👍🙏😁
Got one for small aquas and transport bucket. Like it a lot. 50w i think mine are

Put the heater lower in your tank so that doesn't happen again. And it is possible to overdo water changing.
@@scottmerrow1488 hi Scott, I normally would unplug it, otherwise no issues with the unit. Thank you for the feedback, happy new year.

Nice unboxing, nice heater but like you said, the logo stands out and would need to be hid or covered up.

I love that shirt !!
Weird timing, I was looking at these heaters to buy yesterday but didn’t so I’ll have to use the coupon code!
Any chance do you know if these would work in a small outdoor container pond?
Did it fit in the rear filter of the Fluval Flex?
Mine didnt come with instructions

i hate those heater with LED screen inside the tank just put the LED screen on the switch why can't they do it 😑
Mine is making a knocking noise. Do you know if it's a sign that is broken or how can I stop this noise.. thank you
I bought this 2 weeks ago from Amazon. Can I get the discount?
What is the warranty, Sean?
Do you think 🤔 fish scratch there butt ?
What if your from the United Kingdom
Well they didn’t mention a geographical lock but I can’t assume it would work. Unfortunately very few things work universally around the world.
@Spacewolfdazzel They sell them here too
@@Chris-nn3vu where do they sell them
I just ordered one from petnanny and i received the product today, no box, no instructions. The item is just on a clear bag🤦🏻♀️
