Conan Exiles: How to Build | Gothic Castle

- I built this Gothic Castle using the new Stormglass building pieces from the Isle of Siptah, but it was built right outside of the Temple of Frost on the Exiled Lands map. I couldn't quite find the perfect spot on the new map or else it would have been built there.
I unfortunately had to make this a speed build as the full edited version would have been 3 hours long! If you feel that it is too fast at any point, there's a setting in the bottom right corner that allows you to slow the video down. Or, you can always pause as you go as well.
This is the first time I built this, I had no practice runs so there are bound to be a few mistakes where I go back and change certain parts of the build. So to ensure that you aren't wasting tons of materials, just keep that in mind if you plan on re-creating this! I tried my absolute best to edit everything out but the raw footage was pushing over 4 hours long, so there are bound to be mistakes and I apologize if there are.

Thanks so much! I just started playing Conan Exiles a couple of weeks ago and hadn't found a build that really grabbed me. This one is amazing! I just finished it last night in the same location. Your video was an excellent tutorial. I especially liked the technique of using two wedge floor pieces to offset pillars. Very cool!

very nice design. One thing I love about the Stormglass is that it goes well with other DLCs. For example using turanian pillars instead of the stormglass ones looks good. Using turanian doors (regular not gate) instead the stormglass door frame fits in perfectly. The gold goes well with the gold accents in the stormglass DLC.

what an aesthetically pleasing building, and wonderful choice of location. This has inspired me to make something very similar. using some the pillars as lifts, and having servant/hidden halls, maybe a secret room or two (you know how those old debauched nobles are lol), a few crenelations, machicolation (arrow slots in the floor of outer walls), a couple of murder holes, and arrow slits where i can on the lower outer perimeter. I have a person who is very into medieval architecture, sorta my go to for advice for castle layout, when describing them in stories. I would love to see your take if you were to do similarly. thank you for the vid' i shall salley forth into more of your content. thank you, have fun and be safe (to all as well)

Love the look of the build, the only thing is the excess foundation use, could have used ceilings for fillers, or just use some of the lower areas as another level/basement. Really nice design ideas tho!
Very atmospheric build. Best I have seen. One word of warning though. Structures built in this location take damage from the star metal asteroids. I'd test the area to find the borders of the damage field. I don't think it extends all the way to the Frost Palace, but anywhere you see the meteors on the ground will take some damage every day.
yeah it'd definitely have to be built in a more suitable location on live servers. i couldn't resist doing the video here though. and thank you!

@@Kisrra You certainly do a good job with it, very intricate especially the tower. I think it gets me when stability 'runs out' or like you experienced a few times with sloping end walls when certain pieces just won't place.
Thank you! I couldn’t agree more about the stability thing. If I had one complaint, that would be it! I understand the realism of it, but it drives me crazy having to put pillars in areas that I don’t want them, just because of stability problems 🥴

Sure you can. Just takes a lot of practice. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. We all start somewhere.
Amazing build, not sure how long I will have to farm on officials until I have all materials ready but it will be worth it because this is probably one of the most beautiful builds using the new stormglass. Well done! This deserves a lot more views :)

I must say, I have been looking for a great gothic castle. This is amazing. I am going to build this. Thank you so much. My only question is the exact location on the map by the temple of the frost? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you! It is directly across from the temple, near the obelisk. The stairs of the entrance of this build start right after it gives you the “ok” to build (like far enough away from it) I hope that helps. I’m not at my computer right now.

Not dissing the build it looks amazing. But i have seen several videos of these speed builds my only question. Is it even possible as a non server own? Like if you're admin and own the server you can just spawn material. Are you admin or did you collect all materials?
yes, this is absolutely possible to build on a server where you are not an admin, including official. all you need is the patience to collect the materials :)

If you can tell me, kindly! what is the location of the map where you built?
I have never tried building something like this but I have a question. If you were to do this in survival mode would stability become an issue? I don't know if building in that creative admin mode lets you ignore stability or not. It's absolutely amazing what you built though, very well done.
Thank you! This is 100% buildable on even official. There’s no stability override while in admins mode (and if there is then I didn’t use it) ☺️ I just use it for the flying and unlimited building pieces.

Hello I just fresh sub. I really love your work style. Been a fan of ark, Conan and atlas it’s a shame I just recently find your Chanel. Can I please have sugestión I want to build a base in Conan using arena dlc with an “underground” basement that it’s an oil farm. So yea it have to be near water. Hello! It is right outside of the Frost Temple. It is far enough away to where you are able to build.
The fact this only took you about 4 hours of build time is staggering to me.
I do a lot of planning before I actually start a build :)

Nice build... but what's the point in having windows if you can't even look outside them? sure it looks nice, and I know gothic design is aesthetic, but windows still have function in gothic architecture
Thank you. Some of the windows are able to be used to view the outside but my intentions were purely for aesthetics here.

WARNING I did the castle on my game and 2 days ago with the castle build I must repair the 75% of it because the fucking meteores....
