Apparently, the inspector didn’t thoroughly inspect the house before Michael bought it for Grandpa, and some of the walls and floors in that house were caving and rotting and started showing around the time this video was filmed!

Always hire your own inspector. This happened to a family member of mine, where the realtor provided an inspector free of cost. The inspector said nothing was wrong. It was a brand new house and no one had ever lived there before. Thank god before buying the house they hired another inspector after hearing noises in the wall, ceiling, and foundation of the home. The inspector found a ton of black mold, and an infestation of rats. Long story short, Mike you should have hired your own inspector. Hopefully everything works out, best of wishes brother.

I think it's great how you help out your nephews the way you do Michael as well as your little nieces. I know that you didn't necessarily have everything that you needed as a child (except an apparent never ending supply of peanuts) and it's a cool move that you shower(not yourself with soap and hot water) the kids with attention and love and wicked gifts that they may not have been able to have without you. They are very lucky to have an Uncle Mike

Clearly you don't own a house.. Inspectors give their OPINION on what is needed or wrong NOT legally binding. so NO case, that's why you hire a inspector you provide not a realtor, since kickbacks are possible. Houses are SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS unless new construction.
tattoodtoolow This may vary by state but from my experience houses are not sold as is unless specifically stated it will be an as is sale and both parties agree to it. Normal house purchases (even on older homes) will include the seller filling out a disclosure sheet as to whether they are aware of any problems with key areas of the house such as electrical, plumbing, foundation, the roof, etc... and if they say no and you can find out later that they had been informed of problems with them, such as neighbors telling you that plumbing companies were there often or such, then you can sue the sellers for the repairs and even potentially punitive damages for lying on their disclosure statement.
I say this having bought and sold a home AS IS and having bought one that does not have an AS IS stipulation.
You are correct though that their chances of winning a lawsuit against the inspector or slim to none. If they can prove gross negligence or malfeasance by the inspector then maybe but unlikely. And, even if they did win a lawsuit against the inspector it would likely only be for the inspection fee and maybe court costs if they're smart enough to ask for them.

My house slippers have so much cat hair inside them that the insides are lined with a thick layer of white cat fur. It looks like they were made with black and white fur. I've tried so many times to clean them out but you legitimately cannot get the fur out from the sides of them all the way because the fur is so embedded into the seams. My cats shed so much that if I leave my reed sandals under my bed for more than a few days, as soon as I take them out, they are covered in fur too. My clothes get covered in fur within minutes of putting them on and no quality or strength lint roller can get it all off. It usually takes 6-8 strips to clean a hoodie and it still has enough visible fur that I get asked if I own a dog. Nope I just own 2 long hair cats that don't know the meaning of personal space and still shed a whole new cat despite how long and often I brush them.
