On the costs I don’t see anything like pesticides or fungicide even fertilizers. Are those things not necessary

They are. It's mainly mainly fungal infections that tend to come up during heavy rains. For pests we spray and as well use biological control measures like fruit fly traps among other. Chilli is not so much affected compared to hot pepper
