Hoseok is the sweetest, kindest, most beautiful person I have ever seen. He wrote this song about his mom, to appreciate her and let her know about his appreciation. He's saying thank you. The lyrics "You can believe in your son, you can smile now." are showing that he's worked so so so hard and he wants his mom to know that she can rely on him now. I hope his mother listened to this and gave him a big hug. People need to stop underappreciating this beautiful, amazing, hard working ray of sunshine. I love Jung Hoseok and he's not even my bias.

we don't give hoseok enough credit as a producer and composer. all the songs he's written for himself and the world are so clever with such deep, underlying meanings to them all. songs like mama and most of the hixtape songs always sound so upbeat and have positive vibes, bc they're supposed to give off the hoseok! vibe - as in his bright, cheery personality seeping through the music he produces. but if you look between the lines and analyze the lyrics of his songs, the hidden meanings and messages that you can uncover in each one is just astounding. mama initially hits you as a song that's super hype and overflowing w optimism, and the lyrics are so sweet and positive. but the cheeriness of the song is almost like a facade, and underneath it there's a level of hardship and tension experienced between hoseok and his mom. and you can definitely sense that hint of darkness in the song. but the way he decided to express it is through positivity, because saying thank you will make you stand in a puddle of your own tears, you'll keep a happy disposition and maintain a smile throughout no matter what. then there's daydream, in which he decided to talk about daydreaming of all things in the title track of his first mixtape, because even if he was daydreaming about things he couldn't do because the career he chose didn't permit that, it put his mind at ease at least to imagine. he wants to go out, he wants to find love, he wants to do normal things everybody else does and no one bats an eye, but can't because he's a public figure in a popular kpop group. it's just so fucking impressive how the songs hoseok writes talks about his struggles and other underlying issues and but also keeps them subtle and hidden. the fact that hoseok's songs don't need to be heavy or gloomy to convey such significant issues and experiences he's gone through is so damn exceptional. what a talented man.

J-hope admitted himself that he's not capable of super deep lyrics like rap mon or suga. But he makes up for it with these jumpy and catchy beats. His lyrics are not complex but they are sincere and say exactly what he means. He plays to his strengths and it works well.

RM writes using his strengths of wordplay and literature knowledge- using many allusions and metaphors to explain his message. Suga/Agust D uses blunt truth to get his message across in a painfully emotional way- all I have to say is ‘The Last’. But, Hobi gives it his sincere words from the heart. He’s an optimist- he isn’t philosophical like RM or sarcastically witty like Suga, and his artistry reflects this. His beats also are normally the easiest to dance to, and with his extreme background in dance that probably subconsciously manifests in his music.

My mother passed away a few days before I turned sixteen. It was so sudden and scary. Im sat here now 19 years old and I've been a new fan of bts for about a month now. I looked at them a few times but never really cared I just saw another boyband that's probs so cliche and sings songs about girl love. But I came across this song and it made me cry because I wish I could sing this to her but she isn't here. And I've become so addicted to bts because they literally have songs to help you with almost everything they are such creative, smart, and humble people. I so glad I gave them a chance. I I know I will never meet them because I'm too broke to go to a concert and too broke for any fan signs and I live is South Carolina literally no one comes here. But I will still support them with all I can.

BTS has truly changed me. Not only have they taught me to realise my faults, but to also love myself. I'll admit that I'm a newer fan, or, Army. I have only been with them since 2017 when they released DNA, even though that wasn't the first music video I watched.
I admire them so much and it's even more than I could explain. I admire their hard working spirits and how they remain humble. Even with all the fame that they have gotten recently. They stay humble. BTS spreads the message of loving yourself, accepting others, and all around positivity. I admire that.
I myself cannot speak or read korean. Although there are those souls who take time to translate it to the best of their ability. It might not be perfect, but it's enough for me to understand the message. I'm content with that. So I beg to differ when a person might say, "Why do you listen to them? You can't even understand what they're saying!".
It's hard to learn to love yourself for you. It's hard to stop thinking that you're ugly, fat, or worthless. Confidence is/can be built on compliments given by others. Learning that only you must love yourself is difficult. I'm still trying to love myself and with their music-it has helped me greatly.
At one of their recent concerts RM said, "Please use me. Please use BTS to love yourself..." And I think that stuck with me. Their music has helped me get through tough times and helped me to stop belittling myself.
To end this I'll say thank you, BTS. Thank you for creating music, thank you for being true to yourself and to your fans, thank you for telling Army to take care of themselves, thank you for being real with the fandom and telling us when we messed up, and most importantly, thank you for helping so many other Armies out there.
