Thank you so much for your comment, Roshan! Mauritius is really amazing country with beautiful nature and wonderful people. Hope to visit it again someday! Take care and come to visit my channel from time to time :)
Yes, Friso, you are right - I mean 787-9, or 789, or 787-900, depending on the source, but I'm sure you know what this plane is. And probably the 787-9 is the correct one, as it is the one Boeing uses now. Considering more scenic approaches - I would be happy to see your 100+ of more scenic approaches list :)
Sure I know but it is a 789 or 787-9, no 787-900. Of course you know I am exaggerating with 100 but let's try this top 20: 1) Saint Martin, NL/FR 2) Gibraltar, UK 3) Dzaoudzi, Mayotte (FR) 4) Skiathos, Greece 5) Paro, Buthan 6) Madeira, Portugal 7) Gilgit, Pakistan 8) London City APT, UK 9) Saint Denis, La Réunion (FR) 10) Lukla, Nepal 11) Saba, Netherlands 12) Malé, Maldives 13) Tivat, Montenegro 14) Barcelona, Spain 15) Nice, France 16) Jeju, Korea 17) Kangerlusaq, Greenland (DK) 18) Papeete, Tahiti (FR) 19) Venice (VCE), Italy 20) Lugano, Switserland
I already changed 787-900 to 787-9 in description despite some websites like SeatGuru uses both, sometimes even within 1 airline for planes with different seat configuration (for example ANA have both). Anyway, I think this is just a mistake because of old Boeings numeration, so most likely you are absolutely right and only 787-9 is correct one. At least Boeing itself uses numeration without 00. Considering your top 20 list - I think this is all a question of personal preferences. I have been in 11 airports from your list and none of them seemed better on approach to me, comparing to MRU. My personal reason to put MRU on #4 is because you don’t see the coast only, like in Barcelona, Nice, Papeete, Skiathos and Gibraltar but also some incredible inner island landscape with mountains, lakes and waterfalls. I really enjoyed the view. If you will look on my other videos, I have one of very beautiful landing in BCN, but it will not get even in my top 20 because you don’t see much on approach, before landing itself. But again, it is a matter of personal view. Still, video from my landing in Nice will appear later on 7th or 8th place of my personal list of most beautiful landings. Venice will be in my top 20 as well. Considering Saint Marten - on my view the takeoff there is much more beautiful as landing. The approach was rather boring to me, at least if you sit from the left side. Same with Male airport, it was nice only when approaching by seaplane as you can see Male town from above. On Maldives approach to Villa Airport Maamigili (VAM) on South Ari at least offer you the views of some very nice islands, but still I preferred MRU. I haven’t been to Lukla and Saba, and though I’m sure they offer great views I think it’s a little bit different kind of airports, with short strips only for small planes. Anyway, if I will ever get to Lukla I guess I will change my way of making top approaches list ;)) And my absolute personal favorite landing is from Santos Dumont in Rio de Janeiro. Unfortunately, I was sitting above wing (despite booking a seat at the back) so the video isn’t very nice. Next time I will fly to Rio I will make sure to seat in a better position and add video here :) Believe me, the views are just amazing! Anyway, thank you very much for commenting and I appreciated your corrections with Boeing numeration. Have a nice day and take a visit from time to time :)
By the way, what do you think of approach and landing in Lisbon? I put it on my personal 5th place, the video is here (sorry, but some crying baby spoils the effect a little bit;)) : th-cam.com/video/t8ifhNFhDQ8/w-d-xo.html I'm really curious about your opinion, as not so many people have seen that many airports as you are (and even less had been to Lukla ;))
love it. for me the scenery was fantastic. great video.

787-900? You mean a 787-9 I guess. I don't know how much you fly but I can name 100s of more scenical approaches than MRU (I've been here 3 times).
