Beautiful view. I have experienced these landings a few times. The aircraft is its final approach and landing. The island is full of radio navigational aids. In this particular case the aircraft came from the north via Grand Baie, flew over the capital Port Louis, then turned just south of it to align itself with the runway which runs south east to north west. From Candos hill onwards it was on a straight path to the runway. The peculiarity of this approach is that the aircraft has to clear the high central plateau and drop fast to the coastal plains runway. The view always melts my heart whenever I return home.
Good observations and detailed approach
A most delightful feeling when a location or anything for that matter can be identified and named.It is almost a conquest.I enjoyed that Aerial Itinerary.I travelled Home several times I was never able to localise those terrestrial places.

The best place/way i admire this beautiful plane every time when am on holiday,is to lie down on the beautiful pereybere sea,and watch the plane descending towards the airport,its normally around 16:05-16:20.
