Akwa Ibom never ceases to amaze me. Fantastic road networks. Clean roads. One of the best hotels in Nigeria. Best airline. Most beautiful stadium. One of the best football clubs. Hospitable people... the list is endless.
    I enjoyed this. Well done

Thanks, Biggie, for taking us along. Some surprises: the roads are actually free of trouble (bandits, kidnappers, etc)? I wonder if the police road block encounter you narrated has something to do with that. Could it be that they were afraid of you, as possibly a dangerous kidnapper? 😂 Also, the Enugu-PH road must have been fixed recently. It was pretty bad the last time I passed through it, some years ago. Then, the roads in Akwa Ibom are good for a reason. It's the oil money at work. That's not to excuse Abia state, God's own country. Is it for mouth? ...Bad, corrupt, and shameless leaders, everywhere!

    • @Bigwillz

Thank you @Akrika Akrika, the Akwa Ibom road is so good and marked. Thia part of the country do not have bandits and kidnappers like up north. I think you took the Enugu - Port harcourt express way . That's why it took you to Abia first . If you had gone through Enugu - Abakiliki express, you would have gotten to Uyo without going through Abia, I think .

All the roads you drive through from Enugu to Abia State are all federal roads. All the roads from Enugu to Abia state were built in the 1950s. I don't know if it is intentional or if you guys don't know how to figure out the federal roads. And tell your viewers the truth, because some Nigerians know how to pretend and the truth upside down: every road that connects you to another state is a federal road, especially if is a bypass just like the roads you followed. Nigerian law doesn't permit the state government to build federal roads because they are on what they call "exclusive lists." This is what the southeast is complaining about, but some pretend they don't know. They are all good at coming on social media to shut down the southeast, not to complain. Check the roads from Lagos to Onitsha. From Lagos to Edo State. They are very beautiful roads, but as soon as you enter Anambra state, you will know the difference. So any other region that always comes online to ask the southeast not to complain has no conscience and is very heartless. Anyway, the southeast is equal to the task.

It is not the government but corrupt leaders in Abia state that has left their roads bad. Akwa-Ibom state renovated and maintained their federal road not the federal government. When Akpabio was governor, during the time Akwaibom state was constructing her roads a proposal was sent to the then Abia State governor to allow Akwaibom state work on the road on the road connecting Abia state to Ikot-Ekpene but the then Abia state governor declined the offer.
