Thank you for a wonderful video and explaining how to blow the shofar. I was having difficulty, but now after watching your tutorial I feel confident and will practice with my shofar.
I'm glad it was helpful!
Nice explanation, and I also like to blow Shofar, and simply I understood the method of making voice with shofar from you,
Todah,

Thanks for letting me know it was helpful!
Wonderful! Thank you for the teaching of Shofar. God's blessings.
As a trumpeter .... *Practice!* practice while you watch TV, practice however you can fit it in. Considering it's not as complicated as a trumpet (no valves) I'm not sure if the hour a day I follow is best, but a solid 15 minutes a day will work wonders.
Blessings 🙌 thank you for teaching.
Thank you!
Thank you Mr.Aaron..you clarified a number of things...timing and space, that halacha was also involved with lip placement. Also I did not know that there were 3 groupings..I had originally thought that " notes" if you will, were brought about by perhaps length of blast and inflection upwards of the blast. All in all I thank you for sharing it was enjoyable listening to you.Your examples helped to understand.V.R. Jim.
It's so gratifying to know this was helpful! Thanks for taking the time to let me know!

Is it appropriate to use the shofor in non-religious settings such as sporting events or family gatherings etc?
I haven't seen anything written about this, but my gut tells me that it should be reserved for holy things.
Get a vuvuzela, it's a lot less expensive, more fun, much more durable, etc. There are also plans online to make your own trumpetty things, that you can get a cheap trumpet mouthpiece and plug that in. Shofar's *HARD* because it doesn't have a modern mouthpiece on it, if you want something to just make a joyful noise there are tons and tons of options out there.
