Finally could get to Suwa lake, last time I tried there was typhoon and after typhoon all express trains were cancelled till this month. Still it was gloomy when I got there.
I walked from the station Kami-suwa to the lake, a bit long the lake, then I went to the east to local castle. On the way to the castle I found apple farm. After the castle I went back to the lake as I was planning to finish this video with fly over the lake. Unfortunately I lost drone video, bought new remote control with HDMI output and formatted wrong sd card when setting it up. Fortunately I did not like drone video anyway as not much to see except water.

Filmed in UltraHD 4K 60p with Lumix GH5 camera, 8-18 f2.8-4 lens, Beholder EC1 stabilizer and Audio-Technica AT9946CM mic.

I live in a very poor and violent country where walking outside is just another chore, not a experience, not a joy, just something you gotta do fast or else something might happen. This allows me to scape for just a time when I'm alone in my room.

When I went back to Japan for a year I took train to town I never knew and walk around go into local restaurants. It was so much fun.

Went there this summer, really beautiful place. If the weather is good, I would suggest walking up to Tateishi Park and get a full view of the lake (just like the view in Kimi no nawa). Suwa Taisha also worth checking out - some of the oldest shrines in Japan (especially if you are a touhou fan).

@@streetsofasia8895 I watched this entire video and saw this small temple within the castle's courtyard. It looked very much like the fictional Teppō shire I created for my book. I got goosebumps!

I like how you interact with Japanese people asking them random questions about random stuff, like that fishing guy around 40:20 who you asked about the fish. It's something I wish I'd had done much more when I lived in Japan myself but often didn't have the courage to do so. My Japanese would have probably improved much more if I had done that lol. Yeah, new remote is separate device without need to connect smartphone and has its own sd card slot.
Now that I've been to Japan these videos make me sad cause I may never get to go back. 😔

I was wondering what those sounds are at 8:20 and at 8:55. I've heard them in other Japanese walking videos. Do they have to do with the crosswalk?
For visually impaired people
I believe there are 2 different sounds depending on if the light is green or not so blind people can know when to cross. I honestly thought they were pretty universal, we have similar things here in Finland too.

I followed your way through google maps and found something not-so-interesting lol, on 12:10 there's these 2 red cars on the right, while the other 3 black cars on the left is still parked on the same exact spot lol. not really mindblowing or what but i just find it really interesting lol

Any reason why you don't use camcorder? Rather than mirrorless camera you are using now.
And 30p, 60p difference is big? I searched but there is very rare that support 4k 60p between camcorder, camera. Your GH5 is almost only 2 ones that support 4k60p.

@@Rambalac So 4k comcorder is worse than mirrorless you are using? I just don't know well about cams.

Can you share your camera settings? Profile, Shutter Speed/Angle, Aperture, ISO, White Balance. I’m learning my GH4 now, but my footage has more noise and rolling shutter than yours.
