I especially liked the pool noodle hack used for sweeping away the water. That would work well sweeping out the garage.
Your voice was so calming. I thought I was listening to Mr. Rogers. Great tips, too!
That rake noodle one would also work as a lawn levelling tool for when you are doing a reseeding/levelling.
Pool Noodles seem to be the item that rarely is used for its intended purpose. So useful.
second only to "duct" tape. )
Wow there’s actually some good ideas in this one!
Love all the ideas! A suggestion for a change to the pool noodle hacks for safety: use velcro ties rather than zip ties to secure the noodle around the tool. They are inexpensive and come in many lengths. To fit around the noodle and still secure easily, they need to be longer than 8" (that only just makes it around the noodle; so 10" or 12" ones would be needed,
Using velcro ties means they can be used over and over again (rather than having to use new ones each time they are removed for tool use), and when the tool in in use, the velcro ties can be easily stored on the noodle..
Using velcro ties may not work for the case of the rake turned into a squeegee because they might not hold or would be scraped away, but I might still try them first and see.
At least with velcro you would still be able to use the rake as a rake
I too saw a bit of frustration with the noodle falling off and causing the ladder to fall. 😩. Safety first. 😳
Better than a zip tie for sure. Not dong the pool noodle BS on rakes and such is even better. Live many years without pool noodles covering my tools, not starting now.
For those of us cursed with trigger fingers, the pool noodle on a rake, shovel, broom, etc., handle does help. Learned that in therapy.
Regarding concerns about using cable ties for fastening the rake, does anyone remember string? Tie, untie, reuse several times. Because string can be cinched tightly enough to compress the noodle material, it is not rubbed through quickly.
Contact some socialist democrats and ask them to review this video. They will form a 24 person committee to decide whether string or zip tie is most effective snd environmentally safe.
Loved the quiet, positive voice
Excellent Ideas, Thank You, and Safety Comes First, especially with Children Around.
I liked the bottle in the ground deep root waterer.
Use the pool noodle on the lawn mower handle too.. it makes is more comfortable holding the safety lever down on long mowing jobs
Re the lemon, I wouldn’t use it unless the seedling is a plant that really really likes an acidic environment. A better alternative is an eggshell. Also don’t leave the soil on top of the growth point like in the video because the delicate baby plant may have trouble pushing up through it.
Growing a lemon in a lemon rind is probably the best place for it to grow. Egg shell offers calcium. Lemon rind provides everything lemon used to grow into a lemon.
@@mrss4328 - Why not throw a little crushed eggshell into the lemon rind along with everything else?
Not a valid idea…..a lemon does not decompose for months if not years. That’s why you should never throw your orange peel down, thinking it’s natural and will rot. It won’t.
Another cool thing about a pool noodle is you can safely smack someone really hard over the head for fun without them getting hurt.
Some great ideas here, thanks for sharing.
Happy to see new content from Hometalk !! 😊
Love the squeegee and rake handle cushion!
Really good video. A lot of life hacks videos give tricks that, while true, are of limited use to most people. This one gives good info on things that a lot of people can use.
Brought to you, by the Pool Noodle Council of America.
so cool ideas 💡 👍
Thank you for sharing 😊
3:58 As an electrician... don't do this... Just buy the correct cords for what you're doing. I rewired a camp ground and the former owner used butter/cottage cheese containers and even Tupperware containers to make junctions like this for power on "tent row", I think there was 20 spaces, I did'nt find them all but I found enough.
Smart but…. zip-ties here (rake squeegee & shear blade-guard) 1 use & done = plastic waste!!! Use rope with loop + knotted end instead for removable AND reusable fastener.
Pool noodles are great for 1001 uses😊. Knee pads, under the door seal, make shift water hose, bumper for couch to protect wall, smack the kids without worrying about going to jail😂😂
Been doing this for years. It's a wonder idea.
Thank you for sharing 😊
these are such good ideas.
I like the lemon seed starter idea. 😊
This guy is the Bob Ross voice of home hacks.
These range anywhere from stupid to dangerous, particularly anything associated with a ladder.
Well the one with the garden handle to protect your hands from use seems better to use the right gloves.
Foam pipe insulation same as pool noodles 6' long & half the price available at hardware stores Plus already sliced to put over edges of anything.
Pipe insulation isn’t the same. It’s not nearly as firm and wouldn’t stand up to the compression if that ladder was at any more of an angle. It would just flatten or get sliced into, and eventually tear or fall off. Just because they are the same shape doesn’t mean they are the same thing.
Glad I watched this at 2x. Guy has Pool noodle stock.
Great ideas but I question the use of zip-ties. Why use them - or anything else? Once noodles are in place and tool put in storage they're not likely to fall off unless moved.
Great ideas!
these are great hacks
Great ideas but tying the rake and trimmer with lock strips is a waste as you need to do this everytime you use it.
Yeah, that seemed strange to me too… why not a Velcro cable tie or something 🤷🏼♀️. I’m a fan of pool noodles though, so I like the ideas. Just without non-reusable zip-ties.
You can buy re usable cable ties in the UK
I'm sure Amazon has them. They seem to have everything.
I buy STIHL products, which are the best and I don't have to use a pool noodle to cover my hedge trimmer, STIHL provides covers for their great products
Well la-de-dah. Did you want a cookie or a ribbon? Not everyone can afford the higher-end products or have older products that didn’t come with covers. Or…I know it’s a wild theory but maybe they had one and lost it. Did you comment this stupidity to try and prove how much better you are than everyone else, or because you simply have nobody left in real life that you haven’t driven off to try and one-up?
Should have cleaned and oiled those tools first
The noodle on the rake might be useful to pick up goat heads. A very annoying plant here in nm. I havent tried it , let me know if you do.
lemon peels do not compost fast enough to grow a seedling larger in the ground. All the other tips were good ones though.
The extension cord in the plastic tub is not waterproof and could create a shocking experience. 😂
Water & electricity don't mix...
@@gwendolynmeredith5779 yeah luckily I learned that from my brother. 🤣
LOve the watering and squeege
Is that YOU............
MMMMr. Rogers.....?😏
Good video....TY
When aliens attacks earth make sure you have a duck tape and pool noodles
Why is it called pool noodle? I would know this stuff as copper pipe insulation. (or is that something different?)
Pool noodles should have sponsored this video 😂
Creator must own stock in a pool noodle company! LOL
Awesome ideaS!!!!
This video is sponsored by the pool noodle industry.
Have someone you don't like? Take that pool noodle and slide it on over your blade, just like that.
I get a feeling your sponcers are pool noodles😂
Or use a broom for the water lol
Good ideas
Hedge trimmer went from looking like a tool to a toy...
Think that one may backfire lmao.
I'm surprised he didn't show taking the box cutter out of a pool noodle before cutting the other pool noodles
TFS! 👏
You can make holes in the top of that plastic milk jug with a nail and hammer
Unfortunately the material the pool noodle is made from is not sustainable.
I’m buying stock in pool noodles.
You have to be kidding me. Use your noodle better than some of these cruddy ideas, unless you have habits like stepping on rakes. LOL
Okay and when you need to use the rake you have to cut off the zip ties. Why not put it on the other side so you can still use the rake part.
It is to eliminate a person stepping on the tines and getting wacked by the rake handle...like the 3 stooges used to do in their movies...just sayin'.
@@drZok3136 yeah but i do landscaping and use metal and plastic rakes so for us not effective and it looks dumb just saying
@@Heavymetalstonie420hen don’t do it…nobody said you have to dude. Just complaining to complain? 😂
Must own stock in zip tie manufacturers.
@@_just_looking_thank_you nope but I do have stock ownership in the landscape company i work for.
Pool noodle is the new duct tape. In the many uses
Dude you really shouldn't cut with a box cutter with the blade facing your hand, wrist or arm. Like you did while holding a pool noodle. One slip and lots of blood and pain. Put the noodle on the ground.
I couldn't pay attention to the tips because of the dangerous knife handling.
How did we ever survive without pool noodles
Plant a tree in Scotland? They just cut millions to make room for solar fields.
It's nice that the guy who owns the pool noodle & zip tie company came up with these useless hacks.
Is this the last channel willing to accept a sponsorship from established titles?
AI made this. Bad AI.
Yep cause people fall on rakes everyday 🤣
So... instead of watering your plants with your garden hose you're gonna get out your drill and put holes in a lid to a milk jug, then proceed to fill up said milk jug with your garden hose, over and over about 20 or so times and water your plants with the milk jug. Uh, yeah. Ok. 🤣
❤
The land title thing is not legitimate.
Why? What do you know about it?
Yeah, many many influencers used to peddle that scam. I can't believe Hometalk is.
@@leeannbroomhalladams1575 i watched a video on them. It is a total grift. They had people go to Scotland looking for their of "land", it doesn't exist.
This sponsor also has a grift on over priced cheap knives. Don't waste your money.
@@leeannbroomhalladams1575 It doesn't take much to research it yourself.
@@jamiesmith5385 Yeah, if only google was free… 🤔 lol
I see why the Dislike button was "Disabled by Owner", these hacks are not very useful, effective or practical.

planting a lemon seed will NOT usually get you the same lemon it came from .Almost all citrus trees are grafted from scion of desired stock. the same is true for apple, pear, and cherry seed/tree. Know your horticulture BEFORE giving out ideas.
brilliance here!
I wanted to share your video but decided not to due to the commercial in the middle. Great innovative tips however so I took phone photos and shared those. Thank you!
Take care of your own noodle.
It sounds like you are talking to children. 😂
Why is that everything that is a solution to a problem called a hack? It’s such an annoyingly overused buzz word.
I wanted to finish the video but I couldn’t stand the thought of you possibly saying “ruuts” again. Cringy.
Wow, is Hometalk now using AI generated male voice ❓
That's his real voice, and I once read a comment that he had a Bob Ross voice. His instructions are clear and easy to follow, and he really does have a smoothing voice.
Guy is obsessed with pool noodles! And "safety"
Whar's with the voice?
Slow down the talking please. Thank you
It's roots not ruts
This is simply BS
Slow down the talking. I can’t keep up,😡😡😡
HACKS are stupid
Why is the fruitcake wearing gloves 😂😂
RE-USABLE -- ZIP TIES ---That way you can open and close them 100s of times.
good ideas
