I started to learn Chinese 2017 when Donald Trump went to the Whitehouse.
at the time of Obama, I knew nothing about Chinese.
Now when I listen to Wuxia dramas, news, or talkshow, I can grasp some of dialogs in the drama, or get the points of the news, but not in details...
Wuxia dramas often provide pronunciations and tones not quite standard of Putonghua, so I often get confused.
word-pronunciations and tones of news and talkshows are closer to standard Putonghua..
I still have difficulties in reading, though, moreover to write.
Hanzi, the Chinese characters, are difficult to memorize...
