I personally do think the heiloom doesn't fit her. Mostly I think Ashe is not a brutal character that would hit someone to death with a dull weapon. She seems clean, fast and skilled, so something blade related I just believe would have just fit her theme better. The Heirloom in a vacuum is fine, just not a fit for her at all in my opinion. i wish this heirloom was a bit snappier in its animation. for some reason it feels really sluggish compared to the other heirlooms for the legends that are often associated with movement

The only thing that comes to mind to why this heirloom might fit her is because of this stretched analysis. The nunchucks represent a balance between the two. Each end represents a part of ash, one side ash simulacrum, and the other Dr. Summers conscience. Finally, the chain that hold together represents the one body they share.
This actually made me like the heirloom a lot more some ppl complaining it’s not a blade personally I wanted sais but I don’t mind nunchucks kinda showcases her skill and proficiency with any weapon she touches

As an Ash main they should've gave her some other types of blades because they really define who she is. A very private, emotionless, heartless "sharp" if you will type of person. I can't see her using dull weapons, they should've gave her twin sai. I could really see her using those.

It'd be like saying it's in character for Gibby to have a grapple hook or a seatbelt cutter for an heirloom because it's something search and rescue uses or Lifeline to use a scalpel cause she's a medic. Technically, yeah, but their current heirlooms fits their lore and/or character more than the stereotypical weapon. I'd argue that it'd probably make more sense for Ash to have something like a wakizashi (shorter backup sword) or tanto sword (like a bowie knife sized katana) heirloom to match her katana-esque sword, since katanas sometimes comes in a set called a daisho (literally big-little), which represented a samurai's honor and/or social power. Though in this case, could represent her big (or dominant) personality (Ash) and her little personality (Leigh). Wakizashi were also used to fight close quarters, finish opponents, or end oneself.
I used to use her ult as an heirloom cuz running around with a sword is sick. This heirloom imo is worse than just running with the sword so Ill continue doing that
The one thing I really don't like is the animation where she holds both ends out and you can see the middle rope as you're running. It makes sense from a stance standpoint but it just looks odd to me.
I'm a bit torn on this one. On one Hand just using her sword that she always had would feel cheap on the other hand her sword is so much cooler than these nunchucks. Maybe they shoudl've given her a Tanto to her sword or something
I was initially ambivalent about it when I first saw it, but now that I've seen it in motion, I like it. I would opted for a slightly different color scheme (a slightly darker gray on the dark gray portions would've added some better contrast IMO) but I definitely don't hate it. I think people will grow on it in time, it seems like an okay fit actually.

Ashleigh Reid helped make Pathfinder so it would be Very weird to have him date his mom/creator. Pathfinder and Ash aren’t a thing and haven’t really been one. The wording when Path refers to her had spaces (ie girl friend, she’s a girl and his friend) much like how path refers to mirage as his best boy friend. He can’t really grasp the concept of romantic love he just loves to love because that’s what his creators gave him before they died. He found her in the garbage and made a friend and that’s how I think it was suppose to be interpreted?
Pathfinder loves Ash (the machine) not Ashleigh (the disembodied voice) It weird when you think about it but no he’s not in love with his creator or his mother he’s in love with Ash

Like Octane, a butterfly knife is *really* dangerous to play with, especially one with two "bite" handles like his (a Bite handle is the handle that covers the side of the blade that'll cut you (this often has a latch, I think), and the safe handle is the side that can smack your fingers and not leave you with a few missing digits). And, of course, Octane is a daredevil. He lives for danger and risk, both of which come hand-in-hand with a butterfly knife. Looking at Loba's heirloom, it also makes sense. The fan is supposed to be elegant, fancy, something that ladies use to cool themselves off. The addiction of the blades within the fan points out that it is more than just beauty, but deadly, just like our favorite fanservice Latina, Loba. In the case of Bloodhound, it makes sense, since they follow more Norwegian/Norse mythological standards. Plus it has the depiction of a crow, something that's heavily symbolic in Norse myths. With Gibby, there *are* clubs in real life that look *similar* but not exactly like that from Polynesia. And, of course, Gibby is an islander. For Mirage, Too Much Witt makes sense in the case of irony. He likes to have fun but is desperately struggling with self-confidence, so the reward counteracts that, I guess. For Revenant, it makes sense as well. He s a character that is obsessed with wanting to die and wishes to kill others as well as himself. The scythe, of course, is a symbol of the Reaper, something Revenant wishes to meet. The Energy Reader for Wattson makes sense, too, since. Well, she literally made the ring. Her whole deal is electricity, so. Energy readers are likely often used in such an environment. And then Rampart's wrench makes sense, ofc, because.. well, she's an engineer. She works on things. She's made guns, barriers that allow you to shoot through them as well as protect you, and not to mention possibly working on Titans from Titanfall 2 (I say this due to one of her banner frames, called "Midnight Oil", which clearly shows what seems to be a Northstar class Titan). That just leaves Wraith, Seer, Valkyrie, Crypto, Bangelore, Lifeline, and Pathfinder. Pathfinder's I find to be more of a joke heirloom.. Lifeline's would make sense if she used to play music, which I think she did? I'm not sure. Bangelore's would make more sense on Fuse, in my opinion. Her weapon is a Kukri, which is a farming tool weirdly enough but I've always associated that with the Aussies. For.. some reason, I blame American media, personally. Something that'd make sense for Bangelore, knowing her military and police background, would be a club/baton or a combat knife. Not a large, machette-esque blade. Crypto... yeah, idk, man, your guess is as good as mine. Valkyrie I think is supposed to be ironic. She has a voiceline that says "What, did you expect me to bow?" which is a sign of respect, often before a fight, in Japanese culture. Seer, I think it's supposed to be like. He's showing off. Ig. Since he's a performer. And Wraith, I think is just... idk, for fun or something. Because she used to Naruto run ig.
Personally I think a data knife would have fit her perfectly as she dates back to tf2 era and she is seen using it when marking enemies with her passive
her default punches are better because she uses her sword, only if they made another katana and made her dual weild it i would buy in an instant. but this looks meh i'll give this heirloom 3/10, just imagine her secret heirloom attack would be using both of the karanas at the same time, but i guess some things are just not ment to be, i am sad but atleast i wont be spending $$
Respawn have said that they will not make a heirloom that is already part of a characters base kit. Ash already dual wields a katana when using her ultimate which is why they did not just make her a new sword. And of course she already attacks with her sword in 3rd person so that is more reason why she didn't just get another sword.
when pathfinder revives ash he calls her ex girlfriend and also a differnt voice line is something like "this reminds me of the time i pulled you out of the dumpster but more fun".
I saw a leaked image of Fuse heirloom. It was a spiked ball or a “morning star” as some people call it. The person that leaked has been right every time with the last heirlooms and legends that released.
I just got shards. Have had octanes for seasons as my only heirloom. Thought about saving them for octane prestige skin but who knows when thats coming and can always buy it as an event. So whos would you suggest getting? And why does octane only have ONE(1) ANIMATION?!? Just one. And his moving spam inspect does nothing basically. Thought about horizons…

Ash is one of my mains and I‘ve had shards for over 1 1/2 years now, been saving them for her heirloom. I honestly feel kind of underwhelmed, most of the animations (running) don‘t seem fun enough for me. I got Bang‘s heirloom and in comparison, that one seems way more fun. Maybe I‘ll just get Wraith‘s instead.
I was thinking the same, have a really clean flow of moving the nun-chucks back and forth. Why I showed the reference to Wraith. The flow could of been INSANE!

I'm an ash main, but I really don't like the nunchucks, I just don't get how nunchucks fit her at all, she's so serious and nunchucks are kind of a goofy weapon. I'm not sure if anything will live up to the kunai, if I ever get an heirloom, it'll probably be the original kunai (which sucks because I haven't even played wraith since they nerfed her ability speed)

before ash became ash, the scientist, along with horizon and some others, created pathfinder. After ash became a simulacrums and was "killed" in the events of titanfall2, pathy found ash in a dumpster and played a part in rescuing her. In robot talk, ash is kinda like his mom, but since they're not biologically related and ash's memories from way back is corrupted, its an alright relationship. Ash appreciates pathy but I don't think she necessarily likes him back the same way pathy likes her. I also don't really know if pathy knows what love is, because that statement is kind of implied in lore
Ash was one of the inventors of pathfinde and one point of the lore after many others stuffs happens path and ash have a case because she lost her memories so yeah is insest

Reasons why ash's heirloom fits her: nunchucks take a master to weild them and ash is a master and capable enough to weild them also nunchucks take patients to use, you have to be calm and mindful and skillful to use/weild them and ash is all those things I mean even in an inspect voice line she's like, another weapon mastered, so why would it be her sword if she's trying to master every weapon, also it takes speed and persuasion to weild correctly and all those things fit ash

Consider the irrationality of wielding a small blunt instrument while holding a sword at your hip that is twice as long as that blunt instrument.

Sometimes I can see where they're coming from. Like Octane, a butterfly knife is *really* dangerous to play with, especially one with two "bite" handles like his (a Bite handle is the handle that covers the side of the blade that'll cut you (this often has a latch, I think), and the safe handle is the side that can smack your fingers and not leave you with a few missing digits). And, of course, Octane is a daredevil. He lives for danger and risk, both of which come hand-in-hand with a butterfly knife.
Looking at Loba's heirloom, it also makes sense. The fan is supposed to be elegant, fancy, something that ladies use to cool themselves off. The addiction of the blades within the fan points out that it is more than just beauty, but deadly, just like our favorite fanservice Latina, Loba.
In the case of Bloodhound, it makes sense, since they follow more Norwegian/Norse mythological standards. Plus it has the depiction of a crow, something that's heavily symbolic in Norse myths.
With Gibby, there *are* clubs in real life that look *similar* but not exactly like that from Polynesia. And, of course, Gibby is an islander.
For Mirage, Too Much Witt makes sense in the case of irony. He likes to have fun but is desperately struggling with self-confidence, so the reward counteracts that, I guess.
For Revenant, it makes sense as well. He s a character that is obsessed with wanting to die and wishes to kill others as well as himself. The scythe, of course, is a symbol of the Reaper, something Revenant wishes to meet.
The Energy Reader for Wattson makes sense, too, since. Well, she literally made the ring. Her whole deal is electricity, so. Energy readers are likely often used in such an environment.
And then Rampart's wrench makes sense, ofc, because.. well, she's an engineer. She works on things. She's made guns, barriers that allow you to shoot through them as well as protect you, and not to mention possibly working on Titans from Titanfall 2 (I say this due to one of her banner frames, called "Midnight Oil", which clearly shows what seems to be a Northstar class Titan).
That just leaves Wraith, Seer, Valkyrie, Crypto, Bangelore, Lifeline, and Pathfinder. Pathfinder's I find to be more of a joke heirloom.. Lifeline's would make sense if she used to play music, which I think she did? I'm not sure. Bangelore's would make more sense on Fuse, in my opinion. Her weapon is a Kukri, which is a farming tool weirdly enough but I've always associated that with the Aussies. For.. some reason, I blame American media, personally. Something that'd make sense for Bangelore, knowing her military and police background, would be a club/baton or a combat knife. Not a large, machette-esque blade. Crypto... yeah, idk, man, your guess is as good as mine. Valkyrie I think is supposed to be ironic. She has a voiceline that says "What, did you expect me to bow?" which is a sign of respect, often before a fight, in Japanese culture. Seer, I think it's supposed to be like. He's showing off. Ig. Since he's a performer. And Wraith, I think is just... idk, for fun or something. Because she used to Naruto run ig.

Personally I think a data knife would have fit her perfectly as she dates back to tf2 era and she is seen using it when marking enemies with her passive
her default punches are better because she uses her sword, only if they made another katana and made her dual weild it i would buy in an instant. but this looks meh i'll give this heirloom 3/10, just imagine her secret heirloom attack would be using both of the karanas at the same time, but i guess some things are just not ment to be, i am sad but atleast i wont be spending $$
Respawn have said that they will not make a heirloom that is already part of a characters base kit. Ash already dual wields a katana when using her ultimate which is why they did not just make her a new sword. And of course she already attacks with her sword in 3rd person so that is more reason why she didn't just get another sword.

Ash is one of my mains and I‘ve had shards for over 1 1/2 years now, been saving them for her heirloom. I honestly feel kind of underwhelmed, most of the animations (running) don‘t seem fun enough for me. I got Bang‘s heirloom and in comparison, that one seems way more fun. Maybe I‘ll just get Wraith‘s instead.

I'm not sure if anything will live up to the kunai, if I ever get an heirloom, it'll probably be the original kunai (which sucks because I haven't even played wraith since they nerfed her ability speed)

After ash became a simulacrums and was "killed" in the events of titanfall2, pathy found ash in a dumpster and played a part in rescuing her. In robot talk, ash is kinda like his mom, but since they're not biologically related and ash's memories from way back is corrupted, its an alright relationship. Ash appreciates pathy but I don't think she necessarily likes him back the same way pathy likes her. I also don't really know if pathy knows what love is, because that statement is kind of implied in lore

Reasons why ash's heirloom fits her: nunchucks take a master to weild them and ash is a master and capable enough to weild them also nunchucks take patients to use, you have to be calm and mindful and skillful to use/weild them and ash is all those things I mean even in an inspect voice line she's like, another weapon mastered, so why would it be her sword if she's trying to master every weapon, also it takes speed and persuasion to weild correctly and all those things fit ash
