Nessuno ricorda?
It is so sad to see this once beautiful city so destroyed by stupid War and Government Corruption. I lived in Asmara for almost two years many years before any of you in that car were born. I was there from August 1972 through December 1973 with the US Army Military Police at the old Kagnew Station Army Post. I spent many wonderful weekends staying at what we called the TTU and is now the Dahlak Hotel. Old Massawa was beautiful and Halie Selassie's Palace was also flawlessly beautiful but now it's all bombed out and destroyed and for what. Halie Selassie might of been a Dictator but he did more for that country than any of these little Pip-squeak corrupt officials in charge today. The city of Asmara is nothing compared to the days when I was there. My only sadness about this country is any possibility that us The Americans might of hurt anyone or anything while we were there. I was just a 20 year old kid that didn't know any better but it was the best duty assignment of my career. Look at some of these videos to see what it use to be like. th-cam.com/video/UEsr5lpv5e8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/AndI0bX6Ey8/w-d-xo.html
