I would like to wish you all a very blessed and joyous Christmas. I pray everyone is well.
Here I am, back like I never left. This is not really the video I planned to put up as the first one back from my hiatus but I didn't have the time to finish the one I wanted to hit my self-imposed deadline of Christmas Eve with. You can count on more goofy antics to come as we bring this channel back to life. For now please enjoy this hive removal at an elevated vacation house on Jourdan River in Kiln, MS.

Thanks Doug and Stacy. I see you've been doing some beekeeping today. Or bee watching at least. We had a bit of the same activity over the past two days as temperatures rose back up after two weeks of bitter cold.

Does anyone else find it extremely comical and very satisfying every time Randy Rooster gets stung especially when it's a bunch of times? So funny, LOL! My favorite was the time he took all those stings from that huge wasp nest that he was on with his dad but I felt sorry for his dad! LOL! Almost fell out of my chair laughing.

I am still around yet to watch your video's. Started the chemo and radiation last monday, it just makes you so tired. So I am putting the weight of the world onto you, you need to post video's so I will have them to watch when I come home from treatments, as a reward to myself!!! I do have good news though! What they thought was lung cancer was NOT cancer, it's scar tissue so that lowered me from stage 4 to stage 3! With that comes the hopes of a better outlook, they say I now have hope of making it 5 years after treatments if not longer! I just have to make it through these treatments! Bless you for your prayers and everyone who has added me to their prayer lists.

I'd like to take this time to remind people yo schedule whole and blood component donations over the holidays. People still need medical care even over the holiday breaks!

No way around it, the treatments suck, well the treatments themselves you don't even feel, but the aftermath you sure do! They told me my tumor would eventually feel like a 'real bad sunburn' in my throat from the treatments and well I finally hit that point this weekend. Couldn't even take tiny sips of water. So as of today I am actually having to use the feeding tube I fought so hard against having put in. After almost 3 days without food or water I was ready I am here to tell ya lol Had my son pick up McDonalds tonight just so I could suck on a fry or two and found out the taste buds are gone for now but they will return after the treatments are done. Had a volunteer with the American Cancer Society take me to my treatment today... rode to the cancer center in a Mercedes Benz! How's that for styling?!! lol You and yours are in my prayers too!
Some people will do anything to ride in luxury. ;) Get better!!
I'll be pray for you Sandra. Lost my uncle 2 years ago to lung cancer. He was given 1 to 2 years and lost his fight in less than 2 month. Let's hope the treatments fair well for you and that 5 years last much, much longer. May your days be blessed by happiness and love.
That comb seemed really brittle to look so new. Glad your Back your channel is "a Way OF Life" for a lot of us Hobby Bee keepers.

I have to tell that I have watched many videos from various people on bee removals and swarm catching and I think you are phenominal! You have the best skills that I have seen. The way you treat your bees shows that you truly love ehat you do.

You have a beautiful family and an artist's eye for filming - framing up a shot and what to shoot - and likely, what to leave out - I don't fast forward though any of your videos. And, I enjoy the music and you never have the volume set so high that I have to TURN it DOWN, just to watch that segment and then turn it back up again while reversing to catch what you said. Welcome back Randy! I watched a ton of your videos before starting keeping this summer. You demonstrate a great many things one should not do while beekeeping. We've had bees removed many years ago and they had to pull boards off the side of our house to get to them. When the boards were removed 8 honey combs were removed and were 6ft long. The bees could be heard from inside the bedroom wall. Bees still come back every year to our area they must really like it here. Lol. Some new neighbors thought they could bomb them to get rid of them what a joke. I tried to tell them it wouldn't work but some people just don't listen. We have had so many years of experience with the bees. Glad to find your channel DirtRooster I love watching what you do. Sure wish you were closer to Houston and I would have called you instead.
And I'd have come running.

Hey Mr. 628DirtRooster, I love your youtube videos on cut outs. I've learned so much from you. I was curious on what kind of vacuum setup you use for your cut outs. I also noticed you use a sort of home made tube container. Would be awesome if you could maybe make a video on it. I found your video's bout 3 days ago and i'm still watching them!!!!! thank you ...very interesting....we had a few hives several years ago but after they got mad one year and chased my husband down off the hill,,,,he quit....we now buy our honey from a keeper in Kentucky....he buys a case (12 quarts) a year when he has it. Wish you were closer...we live in Ohio.

Those bees didn't want to leave such a nice place. I think I would have been tempted to stretch that removal out for a few days just so u could really enjoy the place. Or spray some swarm commander where they were to make sure I got to come back.

Rooster, I discovered your channel about 2 months ago. I am so thankful for ya, and have laughed my butt off at you and and your dad's shenanigans. I have about 75 acres in MO, with a six acre pond and a two acre pond, and I'm gonna do the bee thing. You've made it look fun, and something I can do with my own Pa. I am gonna do two hives to start with, one by each pond. Any equipment recommendations from a "professional" to a noob? I want to start with good equipment and good advice. Got about 500 or so dollars to spend on hives and such, plus a few hundred for queens. Been watching Vino Farms also, he isn't as funny as you, but he's honest, and he's trying. Any expert input, especially on what boxes I should start with, will be greatly appreciated.

You got it bro. Lots faster to work em too, and save me back. Many things you can do too, swarms, splitting, queen castles, rearing ect all in 1. I don't ship them any where, Not that big yet, I get them built up and sell em. wow so cold here, and ur in tee shirts he hee
426 SUPER BEE well the long boxes are great if you don’t move them. They really are heavy and we didn’t think about a hand truck in a wash up and down a hill. We had them in the tree to keep them away from the wild horses and donkeys who apparently love the comb if they can get to them. A long box in a tree sounds funny but our trees are pretty short. Like tall shrubs. I know for cut outs they are crazy. I’m not doing a cut out with one. But we had to one time. So far the langstroth has been the best but we are pretty remote area.
WOW what a experiment! If i did move the L B with a wide tire or dual tire trailer. hitched to a 4x4. Nope they want be moved! It just makes thing easier and faster for me. So many things can do with them too. High enough to mow or weed eat, OMG they get upset! Happy Holidays :)
