Scottie's solo at 1:56 is fucking awe-inspiring. That boy's got SO much soul put in such an offhandedly effortless way. It's as if the instrument's not even there, and he's projecting his sheer human spirit to *vibe*. In those too-short moments I felt like I was hearing his truest voice in the language he is obviously way more fluent in.
I think the direction into electronics is very refreshing for the genre and makes the songs even more interesting. i usually dont listen to any electronics music but this is rly nice.
All the people bitching about the electronic drums lol, it's veryyyyyyy possible for Clay to lay his own groove over this at live events. Polyphia is a band with a really good pocket feel (even though they rhythmically modulate phrases sometimes) and their drummer is more than capable of putting a groove to this
I just discovered them backwards, hearing their older stuff for the first time now. This is my favourite song for real. I think Jun Senuoe and Myrone need to do a collaboration with Polyphia.
2:46 to the end is my favorite of the song. That’s is really dope the beat, the bass line the guitars arrangements, the samples behind, too bad it’s too quick
Polyphia to me has always been about fast passages and iconic lead melodies, and this has that. This obviously, at the core, is still Polyphia's bread and butter, just with a little bit of a new genre mixed in. Really isn't bad, I like it! I may not love it but it's still pretty good!
Man, these guys just have "it"....it's actually crazy. Talent oozing from every pore. I'm sure almost anyone could find something to appreciate in their music.....they really are one of the next steps in humanity's musical evolution. Just awesome :)
People act as if they didn't sit for thousands of hours perfecting their craft. This "crap" didn't just happen, it was intentional. This sounds amazing.
This is the song I was most hyped up for because of that riff Tim posted on facebook. I can't say i'm dissapointed but I think that riff's something a little more special than the rest of the song.
And super dope music by the way. Its like Dream Theater but with actual emotion and soul!! Nothing against dream theater. I could put your stuff on replay for a while and just soak in the beautiful melodic phrasing song arrangements. Good work yall. Im a fan

Being in a band is a business not just a nostalgic project. you gotta follow the times to stay relevant, good job guys.

I'm sorry folks but you cannot expect people to stay who they are forever, most people here probably changed their favorite genres thousand times, I know I did. It's okay to not like what isn't to your taste anymore but you cannot expect the band to "go back to their old sound". In a different, probably less popular opinion - it is creative. Yeah I don't mind adding in some EDM, but I wanna be able to hear the instruments more than the EDM. Lit is great. It has more instruments you can hear with some EDM. Hopefully the rest of the ep is set up like lit.

Epic as always brothers. Keep it up and say hi to old master Henson for me, he was chillin with me all day before the concert in Denver lol. Talk about ichronic xD
this is actually factually the best band in the world I just decided
Loads of people may disagree with you, but I agree with you a 100%
We are three then
We four

My thoughts too
Scott sure knows how to get people groovin....
Scott's riffs are always good. Like jesus those riffs are sexy

The outro solo is one of the best things ever created! Especially the dissonant (?) chords at 3:11~3:13.
no seriously, like I can’t get over the fact that my favorite part of any polyphia song is that ending and it lasts for only like 24 seconds
Scott has some great solos. My fave might be his solo on Crush

I am just so deeply in love with this band.
These my boys! 🤙
this is quite possibly one of the best genre mash-ups I've ever heard. Prog, metal, pop, trap...fucking beautiful.
the riffs are so addicting and the smoothness the electronic stuff adds makes this whole thing so fucking groovy

love that some of these kids can't appreciate a new sound. there is nothing wrong with progression :)
Thank you. I love most of the stuff they put out because they're not afraid to try new things with their skills.
exaaactly. thanks for having an open mind!
Doesn't the "prog" imply progression?
Just because they change their sound doesn't mean they are progressing. You can change your sound and regress, just look at scale the summit.
Adam McDonald Not really. Any type of music can turn into something. Prog doesn't equal Progression. Plus I would call this a digression.
