My mom and dad and us kids wouldn’t miss an episode of Adam-12, and after that was Emergency! with Kevin Tighe and Randolph Mantooth! Those were some great TV shows. So glad to still be able to watch them-I think that’s the one good thing about the internet!

The sound of the old (slow turning) Mopar gear reduction starter gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling every time I hear it. My oldest brother's first car was a '74 Monaco (400 powered) police car, and I loved that car. As for yours, yes, I remember the pilot episode. "When the light goes green, he's going to rabbit." :-) You have a little more "blat" in the exhaust than would be originally, but a really, really nice Adam-12 tribute. Now get to it! East on Moorpark!!
Born in 1967. This was on regular growing up. Gave me respect for the Police. Also wanted to be a cop but in 1985 you had to be taller than 5foot 9!!! Still a great show Reality Police work that I respect!
Adam 12 officer Pete Malloy (Martin Milner) and officer Jim Read ( Kent McCord) it's sad as more years pass by these 1960s early 70s TV shows get forgotten more and more, I give mad props to MeTV for airing Adam 12 at 5pm Pacific standard time everyday

After viewing the high-speed pursuit through L.A.'s. riverbed, I was hooked! Always considered that pursuit the best car chase coming out of Hollywood (now, unaffectionately termed "Hollyweird") pre-BULLITT. Thanks again!
Yes, I love that car chase scene too. With my car only used in that one episode, I had to watch that episode and pause it hundreds of times to get some of the details correct (or as close as I could) when I built the car. I know some things aren't perfect, but the money involved to make them correct weren't in my budget. I enjoy it (as do many people) just as it is. If just one person sees it when I take it out and researches or watches one episode, I feel I have done a service to the series. Maybe I can hook a new generation of people on the show. That's a testament to Marty and Kent's great acting as well as Jack Webb's vision for the show. But my favorite was dispatch operator, Sharron Clarridge. Her voice was so smooth and professional. The LAPD should name their new headquarters after Jack Webb. He literally put the LAPD on the map with Dragnet and Adam 12. The Los Angeles County Fire Department named Station 127 ( the fictional 51) in honor of creator/producer R.A. Cinader for his work with Emergency and the EMS field after the series.
Adam-12 is one of the few shows where I like the end credits music better than the opening credits music. Especially in the first season with the live footage during the end theme. And I admit I like the Adam-12 theme better than the Dragnet theme.
Great video! I especially like the ending credit music you have here, which are a little different than in later years of the show. That's also a neat Standard Oil station in the background!

The 1971 was a Satellite by 1978 they called it a Fury . I owned a 71 and was issued a 78.
