EU-UN Spotlight Initiative Tackles Abuse in Region One Guyana with Sports and Arts

In 2023, Youth Challenge Guyana through UNICEF Guyana and Suriname implemented the European Union-United Nations Spotlight Initiative to tackle substance abuse among indigenous youth in Baramita region one, Guyana. This unique approach utilized life skills-infused sports, performing arts and crafts, and technical skills training and apprenticeship to educate young people.
