That's actually crazy Because I had a similar thought later into this game so far that it's like animal crossing but 2d but more real and personal plus adult, not for all ages.
It’s impressive how I’ve spent over 25 hours on this game and I haven’t even finished it. Also all of this time has been used well and never gets tedious it’s hard to put down. And as I’ve said the time is filled with good well written dialogue. Never gets annoying

This game is dope. Coincidentally I just took a break to try out spiritfarer after beating the main story like of dragon quest. You should get it, I bought it when it came out!
She's not the reaper, she's the step that comes after. She is the ferrywoman who transports newly deceased souls from the realm of the living to the realm of the dead, via the metaphorical river that separates them, aka. Styx, aka. purgatory.

This review is spot on, well done! Spiritfarer is an amazing game. It just might be one of the best games I have ever played. And I've played many, many games, from triple A to obscure indie. In terms of feeling involved and absorbed, Spiritfarer is absolute gold. And it sprinkles such beautiful surprises throughout the game. The music, characters, artwork and animation is all so perfectly in check with each other. A truly amazing accomplishment by the relatively small Canadian developer Thunder Lotus.

I downloaded the game today. I’m completely addicted and this is getting close to being one of my favorites games ever (depending on how the second half of the game goes), but I CANNOT STAND the fast travel theme. I actively avoid fast traveling because of this, I feel like the developers did this on purpose but come on! The combination of my “crew” playing instruments, general sound effects and the chaotic, annoying song, drives me insane. P.s. I’m in love with Gwen 🥺
I've started this game twice on my Switch and both times the game broke shortly into it. The cat stops following me so, instead of scrolling, the screen just continues to zoom out and I'm not able to harvest wood because the cat needs to be near me.
@@chuck176 It happened a couple more times farther into the game. The way I've been able to set it right is to save the game, close it, and then restart my Switch.
I bought this game based almost entirely on this glowing review, and I gotta say... man, you did not nail it at all. At this point, I've put many, MANY hours into Spiritfarer, but despite that it has its charms, so much of the gameplay loop is just frustrating that I'm having trouble wanting to continue. The day/night cycle is irritatingly short, making you cram in as much as possible before losing the ability to travel for the night. You're constantly being harassed for multiple types of foods by your passengers to the point that it can take up a majority of those days just to make sure everyone is content before traveling somewhere else. Travelling itself takes up way to much time (even after unlocking fast travel) which also means you'll have to give more food in between. The map doesn't always clearly mark what quest is tied to what area, meaning you could be going to a highlighted area only to find it wasn't the quest route you wanted to pursue. The list of little annoyances goes on and on.
I don’t really know what you expected from the game but I don’t agree with anything you said. I believe you’re the kind of person who simply don’t like farming/management game. This game is a masterpiece and it unravesl at perfect pace. I barely used the fast travel system because it gave me time to perform various tasks before reaching destinations. After a few upgrades you even increase your travel speed by more than 100%. I’m writing this in case anyone is put off by your comment. This game is really something special and the atmospher and music is truly something you’ll get lost in and I found it incredibly gard to put the game down
Dust Bunniii Sorry! Just now seeing this. The game is wonderful, super relaxing and charming! It’s not a game that I play for a long period of time though... I play for about an hour a day gathering materials, upgrading my ship and talking to the people on the ship.
I really didn't like this developer's last game, Jotun, as I thought it was slow and boring, but I could tell the team really had a knack for art and music. They make really gorgeous-lookin games, and this one looks even better. I'm not sure if the moment-to-moment gameplay of this one is for me, either, but I'm glad people are digging it!
I got this game when it came out because the trailer Interested me. Was not even close to disappointed. Such an addicting game I literally can't stop playing it right now.

I love little games with a cult following and a cute art style, literally my favourite. And now I found one!
Introduced to this game by the soundtrack which was brought from my GF, those gorgeous music made buying this game a no brainer
Is this a feels game? If yes, I purchasing this right away.
Yes.
Think Gris meets Animal Crossing and Wind Waker.
You'll cry.
Fantastic review, imo you've done this game the justice it's deserved, not sure why didn't i cross your channel before but am glad i did today!
Good review. Started slow for me, now I'm hooked.
I cried so hard when I helped Gwen and Summer cross over! 😂 10/10 would recommend!
I've started this game twice on my Switch and both times the game broke shortly into it. The cat stops following me so, instead of scrolling, the screen just continues to zoom out and I'm not able to harvest wood because the cat needs to be near me.
Is is playing better I’m about to get it!
@@chuck176 It happened a couple more times farther into the game. The way I've been able to set it right is to save the game, close it, and then restart my Switch.
Todd Brady oh cool thanks bud! How do you like the game!
@@chuck176 I really am. It's fairly unique in how it puts all its elements together.
This game is really something special and the atmospher and music is truly something you’ll get lost in and I found it incredibly gard to put the game down
I don't play this genre either but I will absolutely forget about hours to it in a way I haven't felt since Sims 2
I'm so glad this was on game pass! It's such a great game, and even if you don't have game pass, it's definitely worth $30
I’ve had my eye on this one Derrick you just sold it to me!
Edit: JUST PURCHASED! 🤣
Do you like it?
Dust Bunniii Sorry! Just now seeing this. The game is wonderful, super relaxing and charming! It’s not a game that I play for a long period of time though... I play for about an hour a day gathering materials, upgrading my ship and talking to the people on the ship.
Just picked this game up on GOG. Sounds fucking incredible and I am really glad I found your channel because this review was great.
Really well written and well delivered review! I think this might be perfect for my good friend's birthday
Beautiful and deep analysis of this game. Very well done!
I got this game when it came out because the trailer Interested me. Was not even close to disappointed. Such an addicting game I literally can't stop playing it right now.
How long is the playthrough time?
This might be my favorite game this year! 😍
And that's coming from someone who has sunk 290 hours in ACNH. It's that good!
I'm way too sensitive, if I play this I'll cry everytime somebody passes 😭😭
