    It's good to see another fellow "wisconsinite" riding a Beta. We currently have two of them, 200rr and xtrainer. We raced the 2023 season with District 16 but took the 2024 season off to adjust to the new bikes. Jays powersports has the best selection of Betas in our area. Might add a gasgas in the future also.

    Be sure to RTV the steering lock key hole to keep water out of the steering head bearings. And check every fastener for tightness. Just speaking as someone that has owned 6 Betas. And the chain may be too tight when taking delivery of your bike.
    And your float level will be to high.All Betas come that way. Fix that before you experiment with jetting.
    Great enduro bikes!!

      My float level was spot on and the needle way 1 position dropped from rich. Both my Betas came with proper float level from the factory. Chain tension should be about 40-45mm when up on a stand

      I have a 300re came from a carbed 300xc which I loved. As far as reliability you won't be disappointed. Most of the the bike is engineered pretty similarly to the ktm. That being said the wiring harness is equally not great. Quality wise that's really the only thing I feel they could definitely improve.

      For reliability. The KTM holds nothing on the Beta. I've had both and that's been my experience.

      @ yeah for the type of riding I do I ll be keeping the spacer, but I’ve also wondered if anything could be gained by doubling up on the spacers or having a cover that had just a bit more volume behind it. That bike looks brand new (how do you do it?). I feel like Beta might be the only company that I'd consider switching to, I have '18 a KTM 300 XC-W (with legit PA registration and MC plate!) and I absolutely love it! No major problems yet but I'm not a very fast rider, tho its light weight and fantastic power delivery makes me feel way better than I really am 😁
    If I can sneak a 2 stroke Beta 300 through registration so I can ride it in the Pine Barrens (like my KTM) I'd be 10 times more likely to buy one, I might have to look into that. Unfortunately I think the closest Beta dealer is located a couple hours away from me, at the Jersey Shore.

      Thanks for the comment. I try to maintain my bike the best I can. I LOVE the beta. Hands down the best bike that I have had. I have seen some guys be able to register their bikes for the roads in other states before, I think it is possible with enough convincing. As far as dealerships you may want to look into 3 seas recreation. I am not sure how far they are away from you but they are one of the best dealerships in the country for Betas. Thanks.

      @Wooskii1 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @JDR345MX Thanks, I'll look into them. There was a local KTM/ Suzuki dealer 15 minutes away from my house that sold Betas before they closed down. The owner said he could help me register a Beta 300 if I bought one, sad they couldn't make it but I'll see what 3 seas has to say.

      @Wooskii1 i thought I heard one of these dealer channels say that they come with a motorcycle title from the dealer, but i could be wrong. I don't remember if it was 3 seas or another dealer.

    • @Wooskii1
      @Wooskii1 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@remedialone6987 That's encouraging to hear, you might want to try to get it registered! Having a plate is LITERALLY worth its weight in gold in my area and great if you ever decide to sell it, also just being able to ride on the road without worrying (maybe playing around on some street tires;-) is always nice. My 2018 KTM 300's title looks exactly like my R1's title, and the titles for my other 4-cycle KTM dirt bike is also the same (all standard PA MC titles)...
      TLDR- If I remember correctly, and I could be off base here, I think the Betas might still have the same thing going on with them that the KTMs had (before the D.O.T./ gov caught on)...
      So these enduro bikes are legal in Europe as dual sports for something called "green roads" or something like that, essentially dirt gravel and grass power lines/ fire roads, which is why they can come with turn signals, horns, etc. Apparently some areas/ countries also have power limits, so instead of making multiple models for different areas/ laws/ restrictions, some of the smaller companies tend to just ship a single spec bike, kitted out with everything including the street bits, and they leave it up to the dealer/ customer sort out. At least from my understanding, that's why you were able to sneak the KTM/ Husky 300s through under the radar.
      If the 2 cycle Betas still come with regular motorcycle titles then there's a decent chance that an auto tags shop/ notary will give you a plate without too many questions.
      I was extremely skeptical, but I just walked into a tags shop with the 300's title and they handed me a plate like it was any other motorcycle. One year later (~2 years ago now) I did the same thing for my '04 450-exc and a lady heard the word KTM and said to the person helping me out "KTM? Those are the ones that can be dirt bikes, you need to watch out for those. Just make sure it comes back MC and not off road." which it did and it was all good, but they're starting to catch on and clamp down on these two stroke "technicalities" slipping in between the cracks, especially now that dual sport and ADV bikes are getting more common.
      Also to my understanding, once you get your bike/ vin into the system (registered and plated) you're "grandfathered in" and can sell/ buy like any other bike. Worst case scenario is they say "No" and you have to try a different shop.
      I know that was a looong comment, but it's my experience and I wish someone had told me sooner, hope it can help someone out. Good luck!
