    Your 32000 lb soft shackles have a safety factor of 5 to 1 like all shackles which means you should be pulling just over 6000.

    • @MuddyBeards4X4
      @MuddyBeards4X4  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you are saying my 7/8” super heavy d-ring rated at 13,000lb is only good for 2,600lb??

    • @lewy1
      @lewy1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Muddy Beards 4X4 I should have been a little clearer, the 32000 breaking strength probably has a WLL of over 9000 lbs which is very good, your 7/8 shackle depending on the make could have a WLL of 6.5T. You shouldn’t go by breaking strength. I would like my winch line to be the weakest link so I would prefer using a shackle when connecting my winch to vehicle or pulley, but I would never use a steel shackle to join a strap.

    How would I go about getting a Muddy Beards sticker like the one on the back window of the S10?

  • @ZJ_Rubicon
    @ZJ_Rubicon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What axles are under the S-10? I am in the process of deciding what I want to use to SAS my 02 Tacoma and want to be able to drive it on the street if I want. I don't think the cops would give me too hard of a time here in PA with a set up like his.
