In this After Effects tutorial we look at how to create a text bubble effect in Adobe After Effects. We show you how to create this text bubble effect and also how to make it a dynamic autoscaling text box that reacts to whatever you type! It's awesome!

This lesson is the first for me using AE, the first media effect production program, I mean the first real example composition). I can't imagine that production media world working like this. The result as yours exactly. Because of the following:
1- I am not english profession, you talk quicky, and make everything in the program easy and simple "just keep everything nice and organized" but you also quick here. So I reduced the speed to 0.75x,
2- I repeat some parts many times (again & again & again)
you miss to tell that the bar to run timeline smoothly hhh, but I found it by guessing hhh.
3- Trying to understand what is the point of this even! after a lot of thinking to get answers without using another video. (only installing and using that media encoder and get H246 formate, etc.)
I just need to do this.

After understanding frames, keyframe, that fucken clock or that diamond to make a keyframe, smart bars, also grids, guides. All of that because of you. I just take 2 days to get the same result as yours. Professonal.

Nicely done and very helpful. For the nub that appears on the bottom outside corner of every bubble, would you make that with the pen tool?
Yes, correct! Apologies for not including that. I ended up not actually liking the look personally despite it being more "correct" but all you would have to do is add that shape with the pen tool and parent it to the same null layer that's controlling the position changes 😄

Do you have an idea of how to fix the fact that the height changes according to the text? For example, if I write "play" or "fire" or "axis", the height of the bubble changes.
I would have to add a minium size expression. But I don't know how.
And also, force to fix bubble on the left or on the right, because sometimes if I add "spaces" the bubble moves.
You understand that I try to animate the appearance of the text and therefore the bubble grows in a nice way.
The "typewriter" effect doesn't work with the automatic bubble. So I had to animate the text source letter by letter.

MotionArrayTutorials I started using this a few hours ago. Is there a way to set it up as a group chat? There are only two image composition (left and right). When I decide to use a third character, it will automatically overide the previous character so it'll be as if the 3rd character spoke prior to entering.

When I open my shape layer contents looking for Rectangle Path 1, it just says "Path." Is there a way I can add the "Rectangle Path" or do I need to adjust my Shape Layer in some way? Help?!

Nevermind! I realized that if you have the "Bezier Path" option checked at the top of the toolbar when you go to create your shape layer, "Rectangle Path 1" option won't appear in the Contents dropdown after you've created your Shape Layer!

Hi 😄 if it's really a template then it's actually an After Effects project and doesn't have to be "installed" but instead "opened" by double clicking on the project file in the download folder. If it's a preset, then you can install through the following method:

could I use the template on premiere pro?
At 14:01 when I move up 8 frames and adjust position, the key frame doesn’t appear. I tried to manually make a key frame using the animation tab, but found no success. I couldn’t right click the key frame. I’m not sure how I messed this up. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
