i know people that have pet birds and they love to be petted. That being said I wouldnt know if that is the same for wild birds.
Much like ferrel cats and dogs, being approached by humans is stressful for them. The kindest thing you can do for a ferrel animal is to provide them with food and water and not approach them. It seems like the bird in the clip sustained some sort of mild head trauma, like being knocked out. The rider did a very good thing by removing the bird from the road, but he shouldn’t have pet him---especially not on the head.

I just want to share out that at one point in time I was homeless. The amount of support from my community was amazing. I was helped Into a 2 room apartment and a job. My profession being construction. So I saw this homeless male holding up a sign saying something along the lines of he's been stranded. He actually lived in Arizona and he was in California. So I pulled over have him a few bucks. About 20 to help out for the day. But I figured that wasn't enough. So I asked him to ride along with me and shockingly he did. I allowed him to stay at my place for a couple of days. Cause I know the struggles of being homeless. Reminder he's been at this state for 2 weeks now. So for 2 weeks he's been starving asking for help and nobody is helping. So I let him stay in my empty bedroom which has only a bed and let him shower dine etc at my house until we sorted out a solution to his problem. Then my buddy told me he was heading out to Yuma Arizona where this person is from. I asked him and told him about this guy state and he's trustworthy etc. My buddy was skeptical but he let hop on for the ride to Yuma. I haven't heard from him again but hopefully he's at home now.

My auntie passed away last night, 12 am, to basically today, then later today I saw a bird get hit by a car, then when I was driving home I saw a woman on the floor, crowded by people, and just about half an hour ago I saw a woman sitting on the edge of a high bridge with police around her.
