Fascinating - hearing about those famous songs being written so casually, sitting around at the Maharishi's place, songs we now know so well! And Jenny herself, so articulate and charming - I'm very interested in the accounts of her and her sister, Patti, both with iconic hit songs written about them- the wives and girlfriends of the famous, male, stars, though Jenny talks of Christine McPhee, who she wrote a song with, and Stevie Nicks- two of the few women to actually become successful musicians and band members themselves! She also talks Joni Mitchell, who she interviewed for her book. Another great interview, thanks.
“George once gave me a sitar” “We’’d love you to come to India with us “ “The Beatle Bungalow” Understated as only a Brit can be of The Beatles inner circle kind 😎👌
I suspect Dave is thinking of a 1964 Columbia LP called "On The Scene". It features the Cheynes track "Respectable" but it also contains a track titled "I Can Tell" by the Zephyrs.
Two main themes from this: a/ extraordinary recollection; b/ being so matter of fact about events that subsequently are viewed historically as seismic.
Spooky; I am just on the chapter on the Beatles in India in Craig Brown's book and here is Jenny telling her side of it. Icons of Rock; another book to buy! Leaving school without telling mother: wow!
“A curtain or two may have twitched.” She’s got a nice way of putting things. BTW, we need a sequel - this interview is superb.
Pretty good for 76!!
Jenny Boyd is a warrior!!! ❤

Jenny's digressions are rather more interesting than the all too predictable questions.
She and Christine McVie wrote Jewel Eyed Judy?? What a shocker! That's a great song.

Really entertaining talk and some great insights, love Fleetwood Mac particularly the earlier stiff. Good on you guys, take it easy.
Excellent show and insight. Pete Bardens of Camel was also in The Cheynes
