I love how crazy fishkeepers are, I would have never thought of printing a centrifuge attachment to a rotary tool. Absolutely nuts but also super cool!
I can’t believe I just found your channel! I am an avid consumer of fish tube and your channel is just what I like! Good sound, helpful video. & good humor! 😊
Awesome video as always! One hack that made my life easier is growing paramecium cultures with only dog kibble, no rotting veggies. I learned this at our killifish convention. Works great and FAR less stinky. Good luck with your paramecium trap, so interesting what you can print!
That stand came out nice! I got one here locally. But I really like that apisto cave, hopefully a great way to keep them from the front glass. A dark colored 3x3 sticky note will also give them some privacy in the cave when you're not filming.
It does really help to keep it covered. They've been shockingly comfortable with lights and cameras, as long as everything holds still. It's movement that makes them nervous. I try to get the best footage I can of cave spawns because it's so difficult to see, under normal circumstances.
I like your brine shrimp stand, I built one out of 3/4" pvc that holds two ziss hatchers, about 19 inches high, leaving plenty of room beneath to work, drain. Keep up the great videos, I always enjoy them and your photography
I blame you for my dwarf cichlid addiction now! 😅 Got myself three pairs of different apistogramma last week along with some rams Thanks for the content and inspiration! 🥰
Love the narration! I'm new to fish keeping and I'm planning on buying pygmy corydoras after I cycle my tank. Can you instruct me how to quarantine them before I add them to the tank. Love the content ❤️
I love doing DIY projects it’s one of the main reason I am in the hobby. The hobby has always drawn me to recreate the perfect environment. Lol, yeah it’ll be never ending. Angels are the fish that I’ve never done they always eat their eggs and I don’t want to pull the egg I want parents to rear fry
Awesome. Super excited for the Baenschi video. For me, the holy grail was Elizabethae due to the price, but now that I’m trying the Agasizii Fire/Red/Gold manmade strain, I have realized that there’s a whole new set of problems to deal with. AKA they are not very sexually dimorphic when young. Guess I’m battling impatience 😂 I don’t have the space to deal with corys, but my lfs said they get their pygmies from a local breeder who colony breeds them by using a huge and mature java moss carpet. It would be cool to emulate that, especially if it can become hands off. I’m sure you’ve looked into it.
I have heard that about pygmies. I have an issue with them pygmaeus and habrosus. There's something in the chemical or biological environment of my tanks that they aren't able to tolerate. I haven't yet pinned down what that could be.
U got me so motivated...got a pair apistogramma Macmasteri ( hope u release video specific on them). I set up a tank with hillstream loachs and soon ill own cpd and pygmi corrys
ive recently found some aspidoras spilotus myself and im really happy with their high energy level :D (also, ive heard that once theyre breeding, they can motivate corys in their tank to breed aswell) nice video, looking forward to the next one!
Every time I want to step away from breeding fish apistogrammas and corydoras pull me back in…recently got a pair of Baenschi as well, love the colors and it’s fun to see the dorsal fin on the male slowly develop and the female slowly coloring up. Also just had an accidental spawn with my corydoras sterbai so now I’m on the hunt for different corydoras species as well…my wallet for sure hates me!
As always, love the videos. In fact, I wish you'd go in depth with how you are able to get such great video, including all those up close and personal shots lol This is where my art creative side comes out. I want to take video and pictures for my own interests, with at least this level of clarity. But something about fish in general just fight being caught on came I think there's something to their reflective/iridescent scales that is throwing everything off, and my camera will not, under any circumstances, focus on the fish
There's a video that Jimmy Gimbal made a few years ago about how to film fish. I watched that a couple of times and did my best to learn from there. In short though, for every 10 seconds of decent footage there are 10-20 minutes of frustration. Filming fish is an exercise in masochism. If I were to offer recommendations to others, the ones that come to mind are keeping fish you want to film near where you spend a lot of time so that they aren't sensitive to your presence, and focusing on stabilizing the camera. Tripods, hand skills, that kind of thing.
The Shop Talks are some of my favorite videos of yours, though I still am waiting to find out if you spawned chile rasboras from the first one. :P I've fallen in love with Corydoras varieties recently and am looking to add a couple more species to my house. I'm looking forward to your video on Scleromystax Barbatus, as mine have recently started spawning but not giving me the huge number of eggs that I've seen from other varieties. I'm not sure if this is a trait of the species or just the result of still-maturing fish.
Any tips on sexing beckfords pencilfish? I am having difficulties doing it off colour intensity alone since I just got my fish so they are not conditioned yet. SeriouslyFish says something about the posterior edge of the fins of males being rounder but I haven't been able to see any differences. In any case, do you have any spawning tips for them? I have them in a quarantine tank right now with a bunch of yarn on the bottom to prevent them from eating eggs (if they have any). It would be really cool if I could get them to spawn in quarantine before I move them to my main tank.
None yet, they're pretty new to me. At a glance I see differences in color intensity that could be indicative of a male. thicker darker black stripes. more red on the body, and what appears to be more red on the anal fins and caudal peduncle. I don't know for sure if I even have both sexes.
Your angel cones a cool idea, why not print more pieces so you can swap out rather then leaving empty gaps? Also I'm somewhat annoyed you did the math of the centerfugal force and didn't specify what the g-forces were. 😅
I took a small amount of nannochloropsis that came as a food source for moina and used it to inoculate a culture. That doesn't mean it hasn't been outcompeted with something else, but that's at least how it started.
@@MakeMoreFishThanks. I've managed to get green water from tank water 3 times, but it's always been unintentional. Any time I've actually tried to do it, I've failed. I was hoping you had found the recipe :-)
As someone who has been pretty involved in the aquarium side of the internet for almost 7 years now, this channel has to be my favorite.
I love how crazy fishkeepers are, I would have never thought of printing a centrifuge attachment to a rotary tool. Absolutely nuts but also super cool!
I love your ability to bring clever designs & 3d printing to the aquarium. It's definitely changed the game for me
I can’t believe I just found your channel! I am an avid consumer of fish tube and your channel is just what I like! Good sound, helpful video. & good humor! 😊
This is one of the best channel on youtube you don't have to breed fish or like fish to enjoy the videos.
Your trash talking of angelfish had me rolling 😂. Glad I'm not the only one that has these thoughts about them.
Your approach to this hobby is so desperately needed. Thank you for sharing your work with us!
I absolutely love your channel. So much great information in your media, and you are always well spoken. Thank you for sharing with our community.
Applying engineering to fish keeping is definitely on my to-do list. Great job with the 3D prints and excited to see the progress
Dude - I love your videos, your delivery and your commitment to the hobby!
I hope fish talk 4 is coming soon!
Can’t wait to see what else you will do with your 3d printer! 😂😂😂
You are really funny 😅😅😘

Another amazing video! The humor always gets me
Amazing video! Well done and I've often wondered the same things about traditional mops. Well designed, well done, and well narrated. Thank you 🙏

oh my FINALLY I am so excited to finally hear about your killies!!! will they feature in a video at some point?
Yep, should be coming up soon

for whatever reason, my mean angelfish loves his corys, i think he knows he cant eat them but he like them lol
Great video looking forward to seeing more like this

This guy is amazing to listen to and watch. Here's one for the algorithm mate
Love your work :)
🤘🏼 seems like your having fun and making cool stuff. Keep it up!
I really like your video.. hope there will be an update of your project soon..
Great video! I love that you took the angels on lineup and I'm looking forward to see how they will evolve.

They cruise, constantly. I like it too.
I knew it was a good idea to just stay subscribed to your patreon. :D
seeing the quality content u put out....can we expect to see betta breeding sometime?
I'm sure I'll breed some bettas at some point

Spare segments are a good idea. Roughly 20,000 Gs at 10,000 RPM and upwards from there
can you made video for breeding other cory like concolor or cw28 cw127 ?
What 3D design app do you use for you designs? Thank you. Learn a lot from your videos.
I use Fusion 360
Thank you 😊
Maybe a more efficient way to make the new spawning mop is to glue the strings. Just a thought.
What brown filament do you use? TIA
Overture PLA pro. I believe the color was chocolate
Where did you get your Scleromystax? I’m so jealous of you!
The wet spot in Portland. Great vendor.
The spawning mop looks promising, I might try with my lampeyes...
Ooh, good idea! let me know how it works out!
you gonna release the video on how to breed those barbatus just picked up my group???
When I'm finished filming it, yes.
How do you culture green water ?
Love you videos and gain a subscriber! Are you just a hobbyist or do you sell?
Just a hobbyist :)
Lowell where’s the new upload? I NEED IT (spongebob meme)
On the way!
Can you make a video on breeding asian stone catfish
pls come back. I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms
Will you release the stl file for that apisto cave?
What will "the package comming next week" contain? Chili rasboras? Sparkling Gourami? 🤔
More corydoras actually. Schultzei
I guess you really are on a corydora craze😂. All the best, keep up the great content!
Did you start your green water with an existing culture or did you "create" it from tank water?
I took a small amount of nannochloropsis that came as a food source for moina and used it to inoculate a culture. That doesn't mean it hasn't been outcompeted with something else, but that's at least how it started.

What camera do you use to film video?
a google pixel and a canon M50
👍🏻👍🏻
This is the best thing I have seen. Marry me!
Ziss stand would be a hit
Please take this in the best way possible but your voice over on your videos reminds me of the narrator from “The Sandlot”
I hear it. Kind of a similar speech pattern. I can live with that
Love it! Keep up the great work on these videos. They are amazing.
