agree
Even as a Yamaha fan I'd rather see Toprak on a Ducati whether he stays in wsb or goes to motogp. Sadly Yamaha dropped the development ball over the last few years.
I wonder if it would be possible for Yamaha to give him one of the bikes from one or two seasons ago and just let him practice his ass off on his own time to get more comfortable with a MotoGP bike
Absolutely no doubt T-Raz could be competitive on a good bike in MotoGP. Dude can ride and has excellent motorcycle control and feel. Perhaps it would take him a couple of months, but he would adapt quickly if he went that route, which sounds unlikely at this point. So many insanely talented riders for teams to choose from now. Yamaha needs to focus on making their bike faster rather than which elite rider they’re willing to throw on top of their turdcycle. 💩
"i don't think yamaha can wait" that was it. Toprak needs some time to do readjustment to his riding, adapting to new type of bike.
yamaha shud chuck this guy n sign RINS .
Hed be better off where he is sod MOTO GP
Remind me again who last came from WSB and won a MGP title.
Mick Doohan?
@@gbone7581 As a champion ?
there's this clown in youtube called thisisben saying wsbk and motogp bike are basically the same lmao.
self declare yamaha winning the title and now hes being missing.
In all fairness... he needs some saddle time on the MotoGp bike !!
If Ben Spies could do the transition and be competitive... So can Toprak ?!
He's a bit Overrated tbh
All the couch racers judging a rider on 1 dry test 😂 laughable.
If 1 test mattered then the quickest on test wins the championship... And ktm would be at the back of the grid and Martin MotoGP champ
he should stay where he's at
Toprak time during testing is not better than dp time.he even unable to beat franco time.
Lol yeah
Just not good enough move on
He's too much of a cowboy! Imagine another Mark Marquez equivalent in MGP! The mind boggles.
jeez, c´mon 1 second slower after only 2 days of testing? thats pretty good in my eyes. i mean, first he has to adapt to the new bike, cal is a beast itself and a motogp bike is a bit different compared to a wsbk machine. so i would not call that slow!
His career has come to an end. Leaving Yamaha is a grave mistake. R1 is a battle hardened motorbike and the top bike today on wsbk. Ducati is not as good as motoGP, shown by the results of every race. Apart from Bautista no other Ducati rider proved anything on the track. Bmw is a lost case.
This comment aged REALLY bad. Yamaha overall did not make a single podium this year in 12 races.
Toprak himself has 6 wins, 9 podiums.
"R1 battle hardened motorbike", "no other Ducati rider proved anything ", "Bmw is a lost case", "Leaving Yamaha is a grave mistake"
So many baseless remarks in a single comment.
