I’ve never caught one on a fly and maybe it’s different down under, but in the UK at least I’m pretty sure people fish those flexi worms hard on the mud, not suspended as you mentioned. Beaut of a vid though mate - sums up mullet fishing to a T!
Great to see you using Colin McLeod mullet patterns in the field. I reckon u might have to lengthen the leader a bit, those UK mates use 11ft or 12ft leaders

Gday mate, I try for mullet myself.. those big mullet are so tempting but seem to run away from a fly..
