What a pretty, atmospheric and delightful National Trust house..I loved all the snippets of sounds; people, bird song,foot falls ,doors opening and shutting, bits of conversations, laughter, peacocks, as you went through it all..lovely ..thanks for the trip out Tara and Rens xx

What a treat! This brings back wonderful memories of our trip to England two years ago, where we visited many stately homes and gardens. Loved every minute of it. My traveling buddy and I do that here at home as well, as we are not far from Philadelphia and all the mansions and gardens there. The craftsmanship of those miniatures is just incredible. Oooooo, I very much enjoyed hears all the doves cooing and calling to each other while you were walking the grounds... doves are my very favorite bird. The miniatures were exquisite! I used to make tiny household miniatures for a dollhouse I had as a child. Didn't much like playing with dolls themselves, but I loved my miniatures in their dollhouse. How nice of you to take me on your day trip, to be honest I thought everything was really beautiful and a great honor to watch, it was all very spectacular say wow. It is very difficult not to list them all as favourites, but I thought all the flowers were beautiful to see, the homemade horse in the garden, the country house itself, and then the mini furnished houses and rooms, that was really wonderful, simply beautiful, the detail in every room and every object, so perfectly and tightly detailed, it really touched my eyes, so cute and great. I enjoy all things miniature and have a dolls' house (built by dad). Scale is universally endearing. English dolls' houses/miniatures collections are the best.

Wow, that was an absolutely stunning tour! Just my kind of tourism, if any. The hall was so remarkably well preserved, and matches all those hundreds of historical fictions I've read about the English gentility and their households in that time period (and before). And those dolls' houses...!!! you're so right - they are amazing, to say the least! I've never seen the likes before - the workmanship and artistic craftsmanship is just mind-boggling.
