The issue with researching forts in the mod vs in vanilla is that in the mod it takes place in world war 1 where trench warfare first saw widespread use, whereas vanilla takes place long after that and everyone knows about trench warfare.

Hey just a tip, if you put your navy on strike force and you select all the sea zones around you its going to protect you from naval invasions without consuming fuel and being out
try "end of a new beginning" its a great mod set in 1866.

Great fun at certain wars, but there is a long wait between interesting moments
Don't care about the ones saying you are bad at the game. You play very well and i think what makes your videos special is that you actually feel the game and enjoy it. The way you care about the events and the historical timeline and the whole plot of the game reminds me of how i play this game with passion. So keep up the good work man.
I love how after the balkan war the greeks kept up a guerilla war in macedonia despite losing their entire mainland and fleeing to crete, lol.

Historically libya didn't get its modern borders until 1935. Basically it was agreed that after ww1, italy wouldn't get any german colonies but they'd get some land from british and french colonies and this was finished in 1935.

I would recommend playing ottoman empire, because its extremely hard to play so mamy people would love to watch it. Including me.

the UK flag was a preposed flag for a English Republican flag made in 1816 i think and was used a lot by Charterists in 1848 and whatnot, there was another one which was black white and blue but nobody uses it

After the war you couldve just released corsica as a puppet then you would still have the territories
The reason you can't push is your units don't have enough soft attack to do damage they lowered soft attack by alot in that mod to make it more like infantry wave attacking fortified positions and machine guns. if you use howitzers you can get enough soft attack to push fairly well its how I managed to cap France mid 1916 they're stupid expensive and you'll have to cycle attack with them and reg inf to eventually get a breakthrough. sometime 1918-1920 artillery scales past howitzers tho
Another thing armored cars are straight dogwater compared to howitzer inf or tanks they don't have the soft attack that howitzers have. also stay at or above 30 org for assault units, best currently.
You can focus light tanks as the AI isn't competent enough to counter human made light tanks. Keep reliability above 80 as thats currently best. also if you research maintenance company 2 you get a module for your tanks called easy maintenance it lowers the cost of each tank by 5% and gives +10% reliability boost. most importantly tho play how you want these are just good template ideas to help with damage dealers. Make an armored car build they're fast AF so when you do get a breakthrough you can get some good encirclements, early war since tanks aren't available until 1917-1918.
also another side not mountaineers have slightly more soft attack than reg inf do. do with info what you will

there is kind of and issue with the song that you play in the video "bella ciao" is the comunist partisan song in ww2 when italy was turning on themself its kinda killing me hearing bella ciao with benito mussolini

4:47 you really need to know bow fortified maginot was which was built before 1936 vanilla dosnt need fortification research ww1 gave armys enough experience to create most fortified stonghold humanly posible
Try millenium dawn but first watch hammurabaes tutorials on it because its a very difficult mod.
