This is so awesome to see how you were getting this foal used to being handled as well as bonding with it......thank you for showing how a young horse should be welcomed into this world of humans; You are so awesome!💗💗💗
Extremely violent? Do you see the bond this foal already has with his caretaker? It's wonderful! And do you notice how calm momma is while her baby is being played with and is being taught that human hands lifting their hooves, legs, etc. by the caretaker is okay and nothing to be afraid of? This man knows his horses and is teaching them nothing but love and play. Violence in a domesticated animal, such as these horses, is something that is learned through trauma or abuse.........it's not an absolute given. A Chihuahua can kill a person.......but we keep them as pets......although I prefer to not use the word "pet". "Companions" is a more appropriate term for relationships like these. Beautiful video!
Love how he's working with this foal getting him used to handling and learning he won't be hurt. Bonding with Mom's approval...and supervision. Beautiful video!
this is so sweet!! you've clearly got a strong connection with both the mother and foal, and its good that you spent time getting him accustomed to handling like that
I can't stop watching. Your bond with the baby is amazing and it looks like momma only gets worried with the black draft in the back. What wonderful folks you are. :-)
This is pretty darn cute and the bonding experience is great. I grew up on a 400 acre ranch, gentled the foals, fed horses and cleaned a lot of stalls. It was a great life and I would do it all over again. Thank you for posting this.A grown clydalesdales horse shoe weight 5 pounds. I know this from experience. Micheline Kribs, Rolla,MO
It's lovely to see the connection you've built up with your colt, he clearly has bonded to you really well and doesn't at all mind being moved about. He doesn't barge or try to move you either there's a nice respect there.
Oak Grove Clydesdale Horses I bet I imagine because horses are horses that it's not nearly as easy as you make it look but heavy horses do have a sort of natural gentleness about them don't they? is the mare a shire by the way? she looks very different to the clydesdale at the back whom she wasn't very happy staring at her baby XD
Aw, thanks again. Well, to be fair, I am no enigma or anything special with horses. Frank just had that really affectionate personality about him. And to be honest, all my Clydesdales do, and Clydesdales and draught horses in general very much tend to also. Nope, the mare is a pedigree Clydesdale. She has really unusual colouring. Many of them have a lot of white through their coat in splashes, etc., but Kate has a lot of white all over! And the 2yo at the back is a Black Clydesdale, which in itself is rare enough to see :)
I love the bond between this guy and the foal, even the mare respects him enough to allow him to frolic with her foal and run like mad around her feet but listen to him enough to wait until he moves so she can barrel in on the intruder on the other side of the fence. I love it.
It's really good of you to get foals friendly and well behaved at a young age. Better handling when they're younger leads to a better, well behaved horse in the future. Well done with caring for him, he's so cute!
Awww. It's nice to see such care and affection between you and your well cared for horses. They're very lucky to have you. The foal, though, I think, is a lap dog in disguise! Sweet thing. Cheers from Canada. ✌️😎🍁
Awe how sweet... All little youngsters need someone to play and frolic with!!! It's their nature, and I'm glad you provided him with that!!! Thanks for sharing!!!😁😀💖✌
Like a big dog, "More scratching, please." Beautiful critter, and they all seem quite comfortable with you moving around behind them. Mom didn't seem the least bit concerned, she clearly trusts you with her baby.
I like how mama knew not to mess with you or hurt you, but she was totally cool with going after other horses😂I also just love this colt’s energy and how this was a video meant to entertain and that the foal knows not to jump on people
Ouou! What a beautiful and adorable clydesdale baby! So funny and playful! Mama is proud of her young one! He is going to become so handsome when he grows up. Lots of love❤
There's so much trust there between you,the mare mama and her little guy. That says a lot about the kind of relationship you have with your horses.I'm impressed.Little Frank is ADORABLE.
What a beautiful boy! You guys are awesome together. It's easy to see you love Frank and he loves you. He's quite attatched to you already. How cute and adorable. He's got a very attentive Mom too. So big already for 2 weeks. Clydesdale...awesome! Thank you for sharing, it was wonderful!!!
what a gorgeous foal, so sorry to hear you lost him at such a young age. I love Clydesdale's, I had the chance of riding a rare twin while doing my veterinary nursing training, equine care was part of the course. He and his brother were the first twins in Scotland for a very long time.
Your gentle spirit is so touching. Thank you for being a 'horse whisperer'. Proves that love makes it all okay! Awesome results. Love from Shepherd, Texas USA
You have been doing some good work with this foal with his feet and legs. What a lovely mum too, shes not 100% happy but obviously trusts you completely.
Oh she is completely happy with me, but she is unhappy with Ciara in the background. She will let me do anything I like with Frank. Thank you for watching and leaving a kind comment :)
I know this is an old video but I couldn't help but to comment anyways. I was brought up on a farm here in Scandinavia and we had heavy thoroughbreds as well as a couple of ponies for us kids. Overtime I see these majestic clydesdales its reminds me of my childhood with my grandfather who treated his horses a bit like his dogs. He bonded deeply with them and they each were like 1 tonne weight of puppies. They were so calm, sturdy and beautiful of mind that I never ever feared these gentle giants and today, where Im a vet of profession, I still take advice about horses from these special people who choose these kinds of special gentle giants as their horses of choice. Its like you just know what kind of person someone is if they own a thoroughbred. There's a certain kind of understanding of the nature of horses and how to be around them. I love how these horses are not chained or in tiny stalls and that they had access to interact with the other horse and free view over the entire area. And the mare seems to think her person had become a kindergarten teacher for her baby and she just let you play around.
You are doing such an outstanding job with this little baby!!! This is exactly how each and every baby should be introduced to people!! In such a loving, playful, wonderful way!!! It makes me want a colt of my own to raise so badly!!! You’re doing an excellent job!! If he’s ever for sale please hit me up!!!!❤️❤️❤️
"LOVE is your gift of thankfulness, a willingness to share of yourself and your beautiful horses with others..." I'm truly blessed to have viewed your video at a moment of my existence where or not to go on living. Ciao Bella...
Ah, thank you very much for your kind comment! I am glad that you liked my video :) Well, whether or not to go on living: there is no question! You go on living! As bad or low as you may feel, I can guarantee that there are people who feel worse than you, who are weak, who are sick, who are vulnerable, but who want to go on living, and they need somebody like you to help them. So, stay living and go find them and help them! :)
+Oak Grove Clydesdale Horses "Thank you for your words of encouragement today. I followed your advice "exactly" as written...God bless all of you. My email is: Karen.r.Bianchini@Gmail.com, should you wish to send me a few pics of beautiful horses/animals..thanks 4 giving me hope so soon after my sons death."
You are very welcome. I hope that they were of some comfort to you. I am, indeed, so very sorry to hear of your son's death. That is so terrible. I didn't know him, nor do I know you, but I would be confident to say that it would break his heart to see you so sad, and although it is most understandable and natural that you are, it is what would make him happy, without doubt, to see you recover and be happy again, in good time. Good luck and happiness to you :)
Yes I did enjoy seeing your horses and I thought it was so sweet. If you didn't have control of them then Mama would have went after you also. Very sweet baby.
I so want to have another foal in my life again! Still have my last one, he's 14 years old now. I so miss playing with a cuddling a foal! Last one was a pony, we left the door open one day, he came in and hopped up on my bed and layed down next too me. Momma came inside to look after him, we cuddled a bit before mamma left a present on the floor, and I put them both back outside. :)
Haha - well I hope you get another foal in your life soon. I hope your current one is doing great at the young age of 14! Thanks for watching and leaving a kind comment :)
I loved my Clydesdale foal. He was amazing. So gentle. I love the way you are training him to lift his feet. Well done!!! Such a bond and mom trusts you implicitly!! Fabulous!
Clearly, the man is a horseman in the best sense of the word. All that handling and loving is already paying off. That was awesome to watch. Was late for an appointment. Har.
He's a big boy for two weeks old and absolutely gorgeous. You playing with him is lovely to watch and the Clydesdale is a beautiful breed of horse. Thank you for sharing this.
I know this is nothing compared to having this foal how it is but you and he have the same bond I do as my dog but this is soo cute! how his mum doesn't mind you being this close, you clearly have a strong bond.
Thank you very much. Ah yes, we all get along very well and we understand each other. Oh it makes perfect sense to have a similar bond with your dog! :)
Absolutely gorgeous animals in a world of hate and abuse. Looks like you care for them very well thank you very much from those of us who are not financially able to help.
I think your one lucky guy!! Love these Clydesdale... On my way through Colorado Springs saw the Budweiser Clydesdales outside with their bright Red coats with the B. Made me smile.
Oh...you are amazing with Frank. It warms my heart to see the incredible bond you have. I am so very sorry to hear you lost him. I've only just come across this video now. I hope you have had at least one new foal to bond with since your heartbreaking loss. You really are amazing. Have a great day. I'm going to subscribe to your channel now so I can watch all your videos.
Aw thank you so much, my friend. That is very very nice to hear. Oh yes, I have had a few foals since Frank and we all have great fun. It is lovely when the new foals are born. Thanks again, and all the very best to you :)
What a beautiful foal! :-D I really enjoyed your video and like how you have desensitized the young fella. Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous horses with us! :-D
What a special moment the bond between you and a horse well mummy just stands there happy letting you run around and jumping around making a special bond but I was very sad to read further down the comments that the horse passed away soon after what a devastating thing to happen Life can be so cruel sometimes thank you for sharing those wonderful moments and a trust and the bond between a man and the horse To show that humans that kind and gentle
I'm so glad you explained about the rearing. That worried me. I raised my mare's foal, and found out accidentally that because his dam was an alpha mare, but was trained to always follow me on lead, he accepted that I was the ultimate alpha and therefore gave me no trouble at all learning to walk on lead. I started paying attention to horse body language after that and it made handling them much easier if I could talk to them in their language. I was told my mare was 18 when I bought her but after I bred her the previous owner started adding up the foals she had birthed and realized she was actually 25. Scooter was a big foal but she was used to them, but he got in the wrong position and I wound up having to pull him out. He never read books on horse handling and training so everything I read and had learned about horses meant nothing to him. He gave me many hours of laughter and fun while training and handling him, having to improvise all the time.
This is a very good way to teach a foal how to introduce them to us humans with out pushing them around so the foal could get injured if they get pushed around and this way they have more respect to the people who are going to train them when they are older than they are now
I know this video is 11 years old, but it lightens my soul every time I watch it. The trust, love, and respect of all souls in that video is wonderful.
I admire your approach to training this 2 week old colt. Teaching with play makes learning fun for everyone. thanks for sharing this very enjoyable video.
Omg so adorable. I think I'd have to move into the barn cause I wouldn't want to leave him. Love how Mom is so comfortable with you playing with baby. She's not too happy with her. Stable mate but seems to have no issues with the man. Such beautiful horses
We have to preserve the Clydesdale and Shire horses ...they are beautiful horses I own a gypsy cob he is as soft as these guys very gentle and loving ...sorry u lost Frankie he had a great soul for a youngster .RIP lil man run free over rainbow bridge ...keep videos coming please 🙏
I love your video. You obviously have a very special gift. The fact that the foal's mother trusts you more than that horse speaks volumes, but I would guess that earning the foal's trust was probably even more delicate work. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
+Xodus Yovsky Haha - it wasn't as technical as that. The little bugger just followed me everywhere! I just could never get away from him! Nah, I've no gift - it's the nature and gentleness of the Clydesdale breed. They are an amazing animal to work with.
With all due respect to the Clydesdale breed, I know enough about horses to notice that you are being modest here. If the little bugger was approached by some ordinary folks, I bet he wouldn't be that trusting. You have a gift + modesty, which is a rare package. Most people are exactly opposite - ordinary and bragging about it. ;)
+Xodus Yovsky Oh no, seriously, trust me! He was that trusting with everybody, and they all are in general! Genuinely! Take my word for it! But thank very much for your kind words!
Your whole bonding process is wonderful. I have been around horse on the farm for nearly all of my seventy one years, both with the old force based methods, and in later years a method much like yours that has evolved on a daily basis.
Mum's trust in the handler is wonderful, she's just standing back & watching rather than being over protective of her foal & blocking his contact with it, amazing bond they must have with him, but she does block the foal's contact with the other horse protecting it
After weeks of politics, politics, politics, I happened on these videos. I didn’t watch the foals as much as I watched the men in each video. They’re like ballet dancers or Roger Federer--just smooooooth movement, No sudden starts or stops. Just effortless. Dams and foals have complete confidence. Baby getting used to stretching, touching so that the day they start putting on halters and pieces of harness they won’t be afraid. The leather and metal will just be extensions of this man they have learned to trust...and love. EXCELLENT video! Mahalo--Thank you!!
Your rite this the most cutest foal I ever seen. I knew what you were doing.....getting the foal use to being handled and building a bond. I love this baby so playful and sweet. This is the best training I've ever seen. I don't know who you are but job well done.. always, sharon white
Clearly Mom was calling the shots here.....And as long as her baby was having fun.....She was cool. And she obviously trusts the Human. But she was not feeling the horse bystander at all and she was not afraid to charge if it got too close to her foal. Very nice clip.....Thanks for posting it!
Watching you play with the baby like horsing around 🤣 lol like the playful uncle lol why did the mom run towards the other horse like she did was that aggressive? I love watching this baby chase him around too cute 🥰 can see you guys love each other so cute 🥰 💕
This is so awesome to see how you were getting this foal used to being handled as well as bonding with it......thank you for showing how a young horse should be welcomed into this world of humans; You are so awesome!💗💗💗
Thank you very much. It is very kind of you to say so :)
Oak Grove Clydesdale Horses You are most welcome! You have a new fan. 💗💗💗😙
Aw I am really humbled! Thank you! :)
TheRealBambihooves yes but horses should not be kept as pets they are extremely violent and they can even kill people

He is so precious. He's just discovering his capabilities and showing affection.
Thank you very much :)
Awww. It's nice to see such care and affection between you and your well cared for horses. They're very lucky to have you. The foal, though, I think, is a lap dog in disguise! Sweet thing. Cheers from Canada. ✌️😎🍁

Thank you very much indeed. That mean a lot. Aw how lovely to hear of twin foals! They are very rare and very cute :)
I think that's a dog in a horse suit!
You could be right, but if it is, it's one hell of a heavy dog. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Funny!
So precious is your bond with this baby. I love this. Thank you for sharing.

It is good to see such a nice facility for the horses. Too often I've seen them living in mud bogs and even the stable is muddy and wet.
Yes I did enjoy seeing your horses and I thought it was so sweet. If you didn't have control of them then Mama would have went after you also. Very sweet baby.
Wonderful job of imprinting, this will make Frank's outlook on life so great, easy to train. Again wonderful job and a truely great video
I can see that you are so kind to this foal. Thanks for sharing Frank's total cuteness with us! Greetings from CT USA.

Haha Aww...
Wow, a foal in the bed! That's funny because one tends to think of horses as "outside" animals.
Hahahaaa. How lovely the foal hopped on bed with you & Mum came inside, too!
What a beautiful video! Love your love for your beautiful horses!

Momma horse did a good job, beautiful baby.
How funny that sense of play so many young animals seem to have and this foal's enjoyment of human company
Yes, I agree. He always loved humans, right from the very first day. Thanks for watching and leaving a kind comment :)

Thank you very much, Alistair.
Where I live, it's not unusual for foals not to read books on horse handling. In fact, I can't think of a single one who did so.
This is a very good way to teach a foal how to introduce them to us humans with out pushing them around so the foal could get injured if they get pushed around and this way they have more respect to the people who are going to train them when they are older than they are now
Beautiful video, that foal clearly knows that chap is nothing but kindness ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I know this video is 11 years old, but it lightens my soul every time I watch it. The trust, love, and respect of all souls in that video is wonderful.
Thank you very much. I'm very pleased that you like it and have watched it multiple times :)
what beautiful animals, i always wanted to own a horse, but I've never really had the money for it. Just such Noble and majestic creatures.
Thank you very much indeed. I am glad that you enjoyed it, and thanks for leaving a kind comment :)
I admire your approach to training this 2 week old colt. Teaching with play makes learning fun for everyone. thanks for sharing this very enjoyable video.
Awww that baby loves you 💕 the mom completely trust you with her baby beautiful bond you all have 💕

Such love and obvious beauty. Loved seeing mama watching over her baby and keeping that other horse at bay. ❤️🐾🐾
Thank you for watching and leaving a kind comment :)
A pleasure to watch...feel the love !💕
This was just so heart tugging❣️
But, I kept hoping you would give mama a few strokes. 💖
HOW CUTE IS HE?! This is such a wonderful video, full of love and respect.
Omg so adorable. I think I'd have to move into the barn cause I wouldn't want to leave him. Love how Mom is so comfortable with you playing with baby. She's not too happy with her. Stable mate but seems to have no issues with the man. Such beautiful horses
Thank you very much :)
How wonderful to see!!! I would have loved being in on that love between you and your precious foal. Thank you for sharing it with us!!
Thank you very much for watching and for your kind comment.
Frank is the cutest thing I have ever seen for a foal only two weeks old he sure loves you a lot :)
Aw thanks very much. We had great fun together :) Thanks for watching and leaving a nice comment.
We have to preserve the Clydesdale and Shire horses ...they are beautiful horses I own a gypsy cob he is as soft as these guys very gentle and loving ...sorry u lost Frankie he had a great
soul for a youngster .RIP lil man run free over rainbow bridge ...keep videos coming please 🙏
Thank you very much for your kind and gentle message. Yes, we need to preserve them and cherish them and treat them with kindness.
Wonderful friendship only known by the very finest of human hearts - but the hug part may need to be reconsidered once the baby reaches a ton. :)
+Xodus Yovsky Thank you very much indeed. Hope you liked the video. Yes, don't worry, there'll be no jumping when he gets bigger...
But thank very much for your kind words!
beautiful...man interacting with new foal.....so awesome...the foal is going to be a gorgeous animal
Mama did not want the other horse even LOOKING at her baby! Cute video!
Your whole bonding process is wonderful. I have been around horse on the farm for nearly all of my seventy one years, both with the old force based methods, and in later years a method much like yours that has evolved on a daily basis.
Thank you for your very kind comment :)
Frank's like,"where did he go?!" Mom is an awesome protector! Cute video!!
Thank you so much. Yes, she's a wonderful mother and he's a cute foal :)
Precious and adorable baby!
Thank you again. Yes, he is adorable for sure :)
Such beautiful horses, I love seeing them.
Adorable foal!
❤🐴VERY CUTE PLAYFUL LITTLE HORSE WHILE HIS MOM WATCHES THEM PLAY!!❤🐴😍👍
Mum's trust in the handler is wonderful, she's just standing back & watching rather than being over protective of her foal & blocking his contact with it, amazing bond they must have with him, but she does block the foal's contact with the other horse protecting it
Thank you. That means a lot to me.
@@tadhgpheaitwillie My pleasure.
Thank you very much indeed. It is not very often I have been likened to Roger Federer, but I am comfortable with it! :D
What a great bond... mom...foal.... trainer/handler... awesome.
Thank you very much, my friend.
Your rite this the most cutest foal I ever seen. I knew what you were doing.....getting the foal use to being handled and building a bond. I love this baby so playful and sweet. This is the best training I've ever seen. I don't know who you are but job well done.. always, sharon white
Beautiful! So much respect and trust in that barn! 💙💙. Gorgeous horses!
What a sweet baby. I think the momma is pretty special too
Clearly Mom was calling the shots here.....And as long as her baby was having fun.....She was cool. And she obviously trusts the Human. But she was not feeling the horse bystander at all and she was not afraid to charge if it got too close to her foal. Very nice clip.....Thanks for posting it!
So cute,I can see myself doing just that, playing with the young fella and never have enough.
Very interesting how he is working with colt by play and love. The entire time training the precious baby.
Thank you very much. He was very easy to love and very precious indeed :)
Watching you play with the baby like horsing around 🤣 lol like the playful uncle lol why did the mom run towards the other horse like she did was that aggressive? I love watching this baby chase him around too cute 🥰 can see you guys love each other so cute 🥰 💕
This is weapons-grade cuteness.
Thanks my friend. Glad you liked it.
Railstarfish I know nothing about horses but I notice mom keeps an eye out for any horses outside their area who want to even look at her baby!
aw, Frankie boy....
Aw, thank you so much. That' a lovely comment. I'm glad that you like it, and keep watching it some more! lol
It's all about building trust, beautiful to watch.
