Hi @DavidSusiloUnscripted - I just got my new Ht3560 yesterday in an attempt to upgrade my HT2050a, but I am seeing a major drop in the brightness compared to 2050a. On paper both the models should have 2200 lumens of brightness, but I feel the brightness of 3560 is almost half of 2050a. Also 2050a had a pleasant whitish light source whereas the 3560 is dim and brownish. This drop in brightness is also impacting the black levels and I feel 2050a had better black levels. Another point I am noticing is the lack of sharpness in 3560 especially when white letters are displayed in the black background. It tends to show more blurry edges with little bit rainbow effect. I am seriously thinking of returning 3560 as it's not matching the quality of my older 2050a.

There must be something wrong with the projector. My 3560 was measured rather close to calibration standards and the brightness was measured favourably too. As for sharpness it was measured the same as the older 2050 too.

My apology for taking so long to reply. TH-cam didn’t notify me of your post.
If the DMD chip used of any indication, it should be in the range of 2000~3000:1 native contrast ratio.

@@DavidSusiloUnscripted wow that's better than I expected. How do you think this projector competes with the Epson 3800? Thank you

@alexnather7614 it’s a toss up. The Epson gives better blacks but the 860 gives better colours. So it really depends what you’re aiming after.

Hi , w2710 , is only 2200 luminous, did you prefer a 200 inch screen with this Brightness ? Also what is the maximum screen size with this projector?

If you want proper brightness for 4K HDR, you SHOULD never use screen beyond 180” and the screen should be Stewart Filmscreen StudioTek 130 G4 or Screen Innovations Slate 1.2. Don’t use cheap screen because it will impact the projection quality tremendously.

@DavidSusiloUnscripted Thanks, but I am planning to project on white wall, also find success with Epson full hd, projector but unaware about this BenQ models.
