Marthe 123 hi the ground is called BIG. It's a non toxic ground which I developed 15 years ago and is now sold world wide. If you are from USA contact Takach. From UK Intaglio Printmaker and TN Lawrence . From France Joop Stoop. From Australia Melbourne Print supplies. There are more video demonstrations you will find on TH-cam showing BIGs diversity.
Hi David, I have moved from the vinegar to degrease a plate to soy sauce with a little whiting (powdered chalk). Quicker and more effective. Hope this helps
Oh, my goodness. This is so brilliant. Thank you SO MUCH. I hope someone is paying you large amounts of money to share your extremely vast knowledge of etching with them. Perhaps you should be selling your videos instead of just giving them away! (Although, and please forgive my ignorance, it would be nice if you explained what B.I.G. is in each of your videos, because I've watched a bunch of them now and you mention B.I.G. quite frequently but haven't explained what it is.)
HI Andrew, is the type of roller or brayer you use important? I've looked and found hard, medium....
Thanks for your generous video! So very helpful!
which brand do you use on the red base?
Hello Andrew,
what is the ground you are rolling on the plate?
