- The next time you're headed up to the gorgeous hill stations of Cameron Highlands, plan your trip around the weekend so you can explore the delicious and fun night market there. Malaysia's Cameron Highlands Pasar Malam is the ONLY night market in all of the Cameron Highlands and it is full of some unique and tasty treats, tons of fruits and vegetables from local farmers, homemade honey and juices, and even locally made wooden and other handicrafts. And if you're coo coo for strawberries, well this place is your nirvana because they have everything from organic fresh berries to keychains and strawberry umbrellas!
I honestly had so much fun. My only regret was that it was raining and I had to hold my camera with only one hand! I ate a ton, shopped a bit, and really enjoyed the lovely friendliness of everyone I encountered.

Expat Angela No worries, 30 days of Ramadhan will be enough for you to explore the bazaar, literally, the bazaar will be everywhere around Malaysia, every inch of local resident will have the bazaar, plus the climax would be in 20th of Ramadhan, when most people will go shopping for Raya festive in the most popular area, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahmah, KL.
Woohooo fun, I'll have to video all of that this year :-) Stay tuned!

Hi Angela, you sure know how to find the best places to travel! Did you try the sweet corn? it's fresh and definitely sweet! Some eat the corn raw! I'm sure you like the cool weather up on the Cameron Highland! ;)
Okay so I actually am freezing my strawberries off up here and hate the cold hahahaha And, I only like sweet corn in a cup and only saw corn on the cob so sadly no corn for me this trip :-( But I loved that fish a lot!

Please don't laugh ... I shoot the selfie stuff with a super sexy selfie stick by MOMAX and my iPhone and the other shots (NOT of me) with my Nikon DSLR. I'm hoping to switch over to Leica next month for my vlogging gear fingers crossed.
Cameron Highlands used to be much cooler but deforestation has ruined the climate
Also the ethnic mix has greatly changed -it was once predominately Indian and Chinese
But then all Malaysia is a lot more Malay than it once was

Haha.......these are Malays. They look Indonesian to you because Malays and various ethnicities in Indonesia look similar. They are ' serumpun ' which literally mean ' one branch '. As a matter of fact, there are Malays in Indonesia too especially in Sumatra and Kalimantan islands.
