This is a great achievement. I was planing to go to Alaska 2023 but they stole my bike. This year 2024 if everything goes well, I am heading up there in the middle of June.
Perfect blend of narration and just music. Some talk too much, some too little, You've struck the perfect balance. Congrats on making it to the ocean! I plan to take a small bottle of water/sand/pebbles home with me.
Thanks for your ministry service ih that be blessed
I recon I'd head for the hot springs after that icy Artic ocean too! Congratulations on a fantastic series it really has been a Joy (and Larry) to watch and follow along and it's not over yet it seems!
Lol, my thoughts exactly. Awe, thank you. We appreciate you following along with us. Nope, not over yet. Still have several more episodes to come.
Greetings, recently came across your channel. Enjoying your Alaska series. So well produced. Thank You for sharing. 🙂🏍🇨🇦
Thank you for the kind words!
Congratulations! What an accomplishment. Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you!
Congrats, that’s a great accomplishment. What tires where you running.
@@striker17 I run Michelin Anakee Adenture 80/20 tires on the 900XR. They work very well.
that's a lot of saddle time. congrats for making it all the way to prudhoe bay. 👍
It definitely was. Thank you!
Congratulations on your achievement. A long trip and plenty of unknowns to negotiate along the way but you handled them with aplomb. Looking forward to your "Alaska debrief" video that you've mentioned doing.
Thank you Osimnod. It was a HUGE accomplishment that I am pretty proud of. Joy
The views along the Dalton Hwy are stunning!! I wasn't aware that any of the Hwy was paved...😃😃 Taking notes here.... bring more cash, more gallons of BUG spray...etc.. 😲😲 So glad the weather was good for this trip!! 👍👍Congrats on making it to the Artic Ocean!!🎉🎉 Looking forward to the next video! 👍👍🏍🏍
We were surprised at all the pavement as well. Most of it was in pretty bad shape except the last 50 miles. There are a lot of areas of loose gravel on the pavement and we met one rider that went down because of it.
@@LivinLifeLoud I wonder how long a rider would have to wait for a tow truck should the bike be not driveable..?? 😲
Over $400 for a hotel! Looks like tons of fun though. Unforgettable experience for sure.
Most of the hotels were pricey but $450 is a bit ridiculous.
Congrats on your epic adventure. Would you do it again? I've been to Alaska but don't have a desire to ride up there with all the iffy weather, bad roads and mosquito's...
Thank you Roger. Yes, I believe we would. I think we would try to take more time to explore next time though. It felt a little rushed.
Congratulations on making it safe!
I was wondering if at the end of the trip you could make a video on the expenses round-trip?
Would be of great help for other riders, including me as next year I want to make part of this trip as well.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks! Yes, we are planning on doing that as well as some tips we have and what we would do differently.
Sure wish I could have gone with, but life has had different plans for me, and I don’t think the Harley would have made it without a tanker truck in tow!
Where's the shot of the chow line at the Aurora?? What time of year was this? There's a lot of ice in the Arctic... Well done you two! Congrats on making it to the end of the road!!!
Thanks! We were in Deadhorse on June 23rd.
Great Job! Joy how's the foot? I twisted my knee on a fall and it took months before it felt "normal" again.
Thank you Dana! It has taken several month for me too. We plan to update everyone on exactly what the injury was and give an update at the end of the series.
Don't push too hard, enjoy the ride
@@danamortensen43 Thank you!
Any tips you have are greatly appreciated.
What was your time frame that you were in Alaska
We arrived on June 17th and left July 10th.
you paid 450.00 for a motel room????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bikers would have slept in the mud before spending that for a hotel room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, it was tough to swallow, but we will explain in our last episode why we did it.
