This is an amazing way to get into the Indian Himalayas. The scenery is fantastic and as you can see we also had great company. Thanks Faiz! I am really looking forward to doing this again in the future, on mnotorbikes!
Next time consider riding this stretch on a bicycle. Here is a video on a bike tour organised by www.unventured.com th-cam.com/video/qZGuIKaY_mQ/w-d-xo.html
A well made video. I've been to Leh 12 times in the last 4 years but never by bus. I'm already planning to take a bus trip after seeing this awesome video.
HRTC bus drivers and conductoers are one of most experienced.... one thing i impressed most your smiling faces ....just like we are at 4000m....5000m .. lots of love from Himachal Pradesh and surely im your follower now ....... india is just like continent have himalyas , deserts , surrounded with oceans and one thing not hot weather at all.
Roads were Rough due to Landslides... Heavy rocks slids from heights and drop directly on the road which causes big holes on the road... beautiful video And Belated Happy Birthday Kel Ji 🙏🎊🎊🎂🎂🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
I was also went to leh by bus last year. It was a great fun And amazing experience. I am glad to watch your journey. You remind me my those day. Thank you ...
Amazingly beautiful journey - no matter how tiresome it may be, but the thrill factor is even higher. thank you for posting it. Welcome to my home town - Jammu & Kashmir...
Here in Delhi/India, we call it once a life time journey. We friends went 2 years back. Had great lifetime experience. As now political scenario has changed in Laddakh so hope for better infra and facilities.
I am in Queenstown but thanks for taking me back to my hometown Manali, my mom is from Lahaul & Spiti...I have subscribed your channel...good on you both...cheers
Passport checking is only to record that you have guys travelled here and any misfortune happens they can track you after that post instead of searching here and there and wasting crucial time.
The good part of this journey is the scenery. The bad part is the back breaking road journey into Leh for 2 days in some of the worst roads on earth lol. I’d probably take the easy way out and take the bus back to Chandigarh and take the 1 hr flight 😀. The journey is quite arduous and painful despite the scenery with total unpredictable nature of the state of roads which close on a whim. Go back to India in a few years and there is supposed to be train route under construction that is supposed to open in 2022 and set a record for the highest altitude train station.
Thanks Sam. We will spoil the surprise. Within 48hrs of arriving in Leh we agreed to fly back to Delhi. It worked really well with picking up our itinerary again in Rajasthan. Once was enough, amazing bus ride or not!
Kel Bolt Yeah once is an adventure, twice is madness LOL The road is very rough and the buses are not that great. It’s also a very unpredictable road.with random closures due to landslides. You can do a day trip to Rohtang pass from Manali on a car and that is good enough to enjoy the Himalayan scenery. I can’t stomach the two day bus ride up there but you guys braved it successfully lol You can fly to Leh from Chandigarh or Delhi which is an hr to hr 45 min. It’s probably more reliable than the roads and easy too. You just spent 2 days in Leh? It has enough to spend a few days there. The other risk with the road trip is getting altitude sickness on the way and you are in the middle of nowhere. You fly in and rest up the whole day and get acclimatized to the altitude and you are good for few days of exploring Leh.
Reasons r many for bumpy roads... how many resources for help or stay did u saw in video... there r causeways n glacier points.. obviously these will damage the patches... BRO is working all round d clock ... guys just cheer for them..👍
Honestly speaking, I love this vlog. I used to travel by buses to remote places outside of state even. I have visited Manali only once, but that was with friends and we did it in a tourist bus. I like transport buses to travel. Idk how many times I've seen this particular one. It makes me jealous and happy at the same time. Honestly wishing you'll get more subscribers and I don't care even if you chose India for views' sake like others do. Hope you enjoyed the trip. And stay safe. God bless!
Because of high passes and state border checkpoint you need to show your passport for your security , if anything happens so they can easily find you ..were you supposed to be search and rescue...
Wow... this is breathtaking... I just kept hooked to my screen watching the passing scenery... it almost looked alien for a while... the places were mesmerizing. Being stuck in Paris.. for past so many months.. I just have this urge to head over to India & explore all these majestic places.. asap
Honestly, India is amazing fun. Certainly some bits that need an intrepid nature but totally worth it. If you plan to do the whole country, start in the South.
Lovely, this is one trip, which is different everytime one goes on it. Self drove the same trip in July 2019. Spent 2 weeks driving to different destinations in the Leh and North of it. Stayed at camp sites in some. Enjoy yourselves and hope to keep seeing more from around the world.
You guys were so in sync to the Indian conditions and I could see that you'll thoroughly enjoyed the journey from Manali to Leh not to mention the Aloo Parathas that you tucked into for breakfast..Seriously looking foward for some more adventurous videos .... keep Rocking
Sweet! Need to do this one comming mid sept. .will remember to carry my Fairydown n kathmandhu gear for chilly weather. Hopefully there will be great local game cuisine ( goat, duck, mountain Trout and other mountain fishes, smoked meats to sample along the way as well, right?
