    I carry a 2 inch pink bootleg microtech. switchblades are illegal in my state so it being small and pink makes it less threatening, and being a bootleg if I do have to chuck it in the bushes then I won't be too distraught if I can't find it again.

    It's all good, let's say I don't really like spring knives because if the spring breaks, the knife won't open either, which will be a big problem in certain self-defense situations
    I always use a knife that can be simply folded, because it never fails (and although I now have a knife with a spring-assisted system, let's say it can be opened even if the spring might stop working)
    3,4,5 is a very good knife, but it should only be produced with a safety button, which is clearly missing
    The problem with this is that the knife can open in my pocket and in the best case it will cut your clothes, in the worst case it will cut you if it does not have a safety button
    I would probably mix the three with the four in terms of design, that would be a good knife

    As a vet I feel like I have a pretty good perspective on this: 4 years in the army, and not ONCE did I see anybody that actually used a switch blade. If you have a knife, it's generally either in the form of a multitool or a fixed blade, if not a regular folding knife.

    • @Trippsy05
      @Trippsy05 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im not gonna act like ive been in the military or anything but the stress test videos I've seen of the Microtech Combat Troodon seem to beat on it pretty hard and it still worked. I have a microtech and for day to day tasks it does fine, and if I got into a knife fight with some crack head in the walmart parking lot it would do harm just as fast. If I had to trust only one knife I'd take a Kabar or something that could reliably take a ton of abuse and be good at different things, but for my use case an otf serves me well enough.
      Bonus points for a Microtech being a knife that John Wick uses.
